Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the teacher competence through Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) training. The targets of this service program are elementary school teachers and twenty one junior high school teachers from various schools in South Tangerang. The service instrument used was a questionnaire with questions in the form of a Likert scale, then analyzed using descriptive analysis method. The result of this service shows that almost all participants agree and strongly agree that the TPACK material is useful for improving teacher competence. According to the teachers, after participating in the TPACK training, they can open their horizons to use learning programs that can be accessed through various learning resources. They even want to explore the material about TPACK. This is because TPACK is able to integrate pedagogic, content and technology elements in learning. After participating in the TPACK training, the teachers stated that they would try to apply TPACK in their classroom learning and try to choose learning strategies according to student needs. They even want to try to find sources of material from various learning resources related to TPACK.

Abstract

This service aims to increase students' knowledge and skills in operating WhatsApp Business as one of the most useful applications to be used as a business and digital marketing tool. Training and mentoring were used in this service. Sang Timur Yogyakarta High School was the service's partner. The evaluation instrument for this activity was interviews, which were analyzed descriptively. The results of this service showed that students had an understanding and skills in using WhatsApp Business, how to sell online correctly, and how to trade and reply to a good chat on WhatsApp Business. Moreover, the service indicated that they understood how to use WhatsApp Business and knew the benefits and advantages of selling online. They also could learn how to do business through WhatsApp Business and understand how to do business better and more accessible. The results were achieved in implementing mentoring, where several participants installed WhatsApp Business for businesses that matched their interests.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide public health education regarding the prevention of stunting. Counseling in the form of seminars was used in this service. This service targeted the mothers in the village of Sei Merah, Deli Serdang Regency. The evaluation instrument for this activity used a questionnaire and interviews, which were then analyzed descriptively. The results of this service indicated that pregnant women's level of understanding of nutrition was still low because they had never followed counseling guidance. However, after this service seminar was conducted, there was a change in increasing the understanding of mothers regarding stunting prevention, namely by steps of (1) fulfilling nutrition during pregnancy, (2) fulfilling child nutrition optimally, (3) practicing proper hygiene, (4) overcoming children who have difficulty eating, and (5) consultation with the health care team.

Abstract

This service activity aims to optimize the management of financial transactions at waste banks by increasing the knowledge of waste bank officers. Apart from that, this activity also seeks to help the community in handling and processing waste into products that are valuable and beneficial for the environment. The method for implementing this activity uses persuasive mentoring and socialization with stages of preparation, socialization, implementation, and evaluation. This activity was attended by 30 participants consisting of family representatives and women who manage the waste bank in Karang Asam Ulu Village. The evaluation instrument for this service activity is in the form of distributing questionnaires and analyzing them descriptively. The results of this service show that the knowledge of the women managing the Ramli "Sylva Lestari" waste bank regarding financial transaction management has increased and they can record transactions correctly. This activity has also succeeded in getting the community to produce bokashi soap and fertilizer from recycled household waste, so it is hoped that it will improve the community's economy.

Abstract

This service program aims to provide knowledge and increase teacher competence in compiling teaching materials in modules based on local wisdom by integrating elements of the cultural habits of the local community. The methods were done by training with technical lectures, discussions, questions - answers, and assignments. This service program was attended by 12 science teachers at SMAN 2 Sungai Penuh. The evaluation form of this program was in the form of a response to the usefulness and impact obtained from the activity results through the distribution of questionnaires and using a question-and-answer method with qualitative descriptive techniques to determine the strategy for implementing the ethnoscience module in the classroom learning process. The results showed that the teacher understood and strongly agreed that ethnoscience was integrated into the lesson. Furthermore, the teacher could draft teaching materials containing local wisdom in learning modules.

Abstract

This Community Service aims to improve marketing management skills for SMEs Kale Cookies through training on product packaging and labeling according to SNI standards. The partner of this activity is UKM Kale Cookies, which consists of 10 people and has a strong desire to learn packaging management and product labeling. The method of implementing this activity includes training, mentoring, monitoring and evaluation. The result of this service activity is that partners have understood the importance of making creative product packaging and labeling in accordance with SNI standards. In addition, partners also have skills in making product packaging and labels in accordance with SNI standards.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to optimize the use of information and communication technology (ICT)-based learning media through campus teaching programs to improve the quality of education in remote areas. The method of implementing this service is with training which includes the stages of preparation, implementation, and evaluation of results through filling out questionnaires by teachers and students. This service partner is SMAN 1 Malingping as one of the remote school areas in Lebak district. The results of this dedication show that partners, namely teachers and students, feel the positive impact of using ICT application-based learning media in the classroom. Teachers' skills in implementing ICT-based learning media and students' motivation to learn increases. In addition, teachers have succeeded in overcoming various challenges in the learning process by optimizing the use of ICT-based learning media.

Abstract

This community service aims to enhance knowledge and expertise in organizational management and children's play module preparation for the Forum Taman Baca Masyarakat (FTBM) in Jepara Regency. The service used the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, with the participants being representatives of TBM managers who are members of FTBM. A questionnaire was used as the instrument for evaluating the activity, and the results of which were analyzed descriptively. The service results indicate a significant increase in workshop participants' understanding. A total of 9 participants (30%) who were initially in the low understanding category succeeded in increasing to the high category, including 18 participants (60%). The workshop activity on preparing children's play modules also made a positive contribution to the participants, particularly in terms of module preparation. There was a significant increase in understanding, where 10 participants (33.33%) who were initially in the low understanding category succeeded in increasing to the high category, involving 20 participants (66.67%). This activity was successful in achieving positive results and supporting the development of participants’ skills and understanding of organizational management and module preparation.

Abstract

This service activity aims to educate partners about national journals and procedures for submitting manuscripts until they are published in national journals. The method of this activity was clinical or practiced. This service activity was attended by 20 teachers of SMAN 2 Kuala Mandor B, Kuburaya Regency. The instruments of the research were pre-test, post-test, and clinical performance. The data analysis technique was carried out by comparing the pre-test and post-test results. The results of this service indicated that the increase in teacher understanding included (1) teachers had understood the stages in scientific publications, (2) the teachers understood how to submit manuscripts to a national journal, and (3) the teachers understood how to find national journals according to their targets and needs. Thus, this service activity implies that it can increase knowledge, experience, and skills that are pretty good on partners' competence in supporting their careers as professional teachers.

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to increase knowledge and skills for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) actors to be able to do digital marketing through online marketplace applications. The service method uses training with partners, namely the UMKM Blessing PKK in Toyomarto Village, Singosari District, Malang Regency. This service evaluation instrument uses a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used a descriptive technique. The result of this community service shows that the training activities carried out are in accordance with the objectives to be achieved, namely providing an understanding of digital marketing and the ability to use online marketplace applications, so as to optimize product marketing for UMKM actors.
