Abstract

Home visit services at community health centers (Puskesmas) are a key strategy for improving access and the quality of care for chronic patients in the community. However, these services still face administrative challenges, such as manual documentation processes, delays in reporting patient data, and suboptimal team coordination due to limited human resources. This Community Service Program (PKM) was initiated to address these issues by implementing a digital-based Nursing Management System (NMS) to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of home visit services at Puskesmas Majalaya. The method used was a participatory approach, consisting of four stages: (1) needs analysis through interviews and field observations, (2) development of a web-based application using Laravel tailored to home visit workflows, (3) training and mentoring of nursing staff on system usage, and (4) evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) combined with service performance indicators. The results demonstrated a significant reduction in documentation time (from 40 minutes to 12 minutes per visit), increased completeness of patient family data—including digital genograms, family medical history, and environmental risk factors (from 53% to 95%)—and improved patient adherence to follow-up visit schedules (from 68% to 90%). The utilization of the digital-based NMS has proven to improve administrative efficiency, optimize coordination among home care teams, and enhance service quality. Therefore, it is recommended that this system be adopted more widely across other primary healthcare facilities.

Abstract

The community service program at KB-TK Aisyiyah Wonoayu aims to improve the quality of early childhood education by integrating the flipped classroom model and SWOT analysis for institutional development. The implementation method includes problem identification, socialization, training of principals and teachers, application of technology, mentoring, and evaluation. It begins with a SWOT analysis to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the school, which guides the design and implementation of the flipped classroom approach tailored to the needs of the school. Teachers are drilled to develop open modules based on flippedclassroom that allow students to learn at home through videos and engage in interactive classroom activities. The results of the study showed a 100% increase in the performance of the principal, marked by the success of the SWOT analysis and the revision of the school's vision and mission. In addition, 90% of teachers experienced an increase in the development of teaching modules and the use of AI technology and flipped classroom applications. The sustainability of this program is expected to support principals in preparing the 2025/2026 school program and maintaining the flipped classroom as an effective learning strategy, thereby increasing school competitiveness

Abstract

This community engagement project facilitated the integration of interactive AI-based chatbot technologies, namely ChatGPT and Leonardo AI, into Islamic Religious Education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) in Probolinggo City. The program aimed to enhance teaching quality by empowering teachers through intensive training based on the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which included four key stages: planning (identifying digital literacy and instructional challenges), action (hands-on training in AI tools), observation (monitoring classroom implementation), and reflection (evaluation and feedback). ChatGPT effectively supported teachers in generating quizzes, assessments, and text-based materials, while Leonardo AI enabled the creation of engaging visual learning media. The results revealed a significant improvement in teachers' digital competencies, reflected in increased creativity, confidence, and autonomy in developing AI-based instructional content. This was evidenced by reflective journals, focus group discussions, and performance assessments, with 82% of participants showing measurable progress post-training. Despite challenges such as limited internet access and digital infrastructure, teachers demonstrated strong enthusiasm and adaptability. The program recommends continuous mentoring and the enhancement of digital infrastructure to ensure the sustainability of AI-driven educational transformation at the elementary madrasah level

Abstract

This mentoring program aims to improve the skills of Elementary School (SD) and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) teachers in Kacangan Village, Andong District, Boyolali, in developing textbooks based on local wisdom and in accordance with the Merdeka Curriculum. The approach used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) and Workshop-Based Training, where teachers play an active role in the process of developing teaching materials. This activity includes training, discussion, and intensive assistance to compile and adapt textbooks so that they are more contextualized with student characteristics. The results of this mentoring showed a positive response from the teachers. A total of 61.5% stated that they would “Yes, definitely” implement the results of the workshop, while the other 38.5% answered “Maybe”. This reflects optimism as well as caution in the implementation of the program. This assessment shows that the strategies implemented are considered realistic and workable in daily learning. In addition, this approach also increases teachers' awareness of the importance of integrating local values in education. The implications of this program include improving the quality of learning and strengthening cultural identity in the developed textbooks. To ensure the sustainability of this program, support is needed through collaboration between schools, communities and local governments so that the innovations that have been introduced can continue. Thus, education in Kacangan Village can progress without losing its local cultural roots.

Abstract

Keerom Regency in Papua, Indonesia, is a remote area facing significant geographical, social, and cultural challenges. Limited access to educational resources and a lack of professional training opportunities for Catholic religious education teachers have contributed to the low quality of teaching. Moreover, the scarcity of contextually relevant teaching materials makes it difficult for teachers to deliver lessons that connect with students' daily lives. This community service project aimed to enhance teachers’ competencies through a workshop on developing teaching modules based on the Case-Based Learning (CBL) approach. The program used a quasi-experimental method with pre-tests and post-tests to measure the improvement in participants’ pedagogical skills. The training combined theoretical concepts and practical sessions, emphasizing the development of CBL-based teaching modules relevant to students’ social, cultural, and religious contexts. The results showed a significant increase in teachers’ competence, with post-test scores improving by 80% compared to the pre-test results. The participants’ active engagement and enthusiasm throughout the training further demonstrated the success of the program. This initiative contributed not only to improving teachers’ skills but also to enhancing the overall quality of Catholic religious education in remote areas. Sustainable implementation requires ongoing training and adequate educational support.

Abstract

Ngadiluwih District, Kediri Regency, has great potential in shaping a moderate and high-quality young generation, particularly within the environment of Madrasah Diniyah Al-Munfaq Badal. The social and cultural diversity of the local community, combined with its strategic geographical location, makes this area ideal for developing religious education that promotes the values of religious moderation. This program was designed to address social challenges such as intolerance and radicalism, which may emerge when religious understanding is not accompanied by a moderate and inclusive outlook. Students, as future leaders, play a crucial role in fostering a peaceful society and therefore need to be equipped with contextual and socially relevant religious values. The program utilized a dialogical and participatory approach through activities such as thematic discussions, religious moderation training, joint worship, inter-madrasah collaboration, community service, social visits, and reading clubs. Program results showed a 35% increase in students’ understanding of religious moderation, as reflected in pre- and post-test evaluations. Social skills also improved, indicated by active participation in inter-madrasah and community activities. Sustainable reading clubs and regular forums strengthened collaboration and inclusivity among students. This program demonstrates that religious education can effectively strengthen human values, tolerance, and social harmony in Indonesia’s diverse society.

Abstract

Awareness of global issues, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), among primary school children remains relatively low, despite the importance of fostering sustainable development values from an early age. This limited understanding poses a significant challenge within the elementary education environment. In response to this issue, a community service program conducted by a team of lecturers from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta at Khalifah Elementary School, Depok, aimed to enhance students’ awareness and comprehension of global issues encompassed within the SDGs framework. The program employed a combination of lectures, interactive discussions, and demonstrations to introduce key SDG themes, including poverty reduction, health and well-being, quality education, and climate action. Evaluation of the program’s impact was carried out through pre-test and post-test assessments. The results showed a significant improvement in students' understanding, with the average pre-test score being 31.72 and the average post-test score increasing to 53.79. These findings suggest that early educational interventions can play a valuable role in shaping children's perspectives on global challenges and fostering their potential contributions to achieving the SDGs..

Abstract

Environmental education for children is inseparable from the role of teachers in schools. However, challenges remain in providing children’s reading materials with environmental themes. In addition, the use of digital technology to support the illustration process is still limited. To address these challenges, artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as Midjourney can serve as an effective solution. Midjourney is an AI-based platform that facilitates the creation of high-quality illustrations for children’s storybooks. This community service program aimed to equip teachers with the skills to write children’s stories, particularly focusing on the environmental pillar of the SDGs, while also utilizing AI technology to produce engaging illustrations. The method employed was a participatory approach, which actively involved teachers in the training process of story writing and illustration development. The participants were engaged in determining story topics, preparing prompts for illustrations, and designing the layout of the draft book. As a result, out of 20 participants, 10 were selected for producing the best writings that met the criteria for children’s books. These selected teachers were also able to generate illustrations through Midjourney. Furthermore, questionnaire results indicated that 60% of participants “Agreed” and 40% “Strongly Agreed” that the program aligned with their teaching material needs and could be effectively utilized as a learning medium in schools. In conclusion, this program has tangible implications in enhancing the competencies of elementary school teachers in Pasuruan City to develop educational children’s reading materials. The teachers not only acquired technical skills but also learned to integrate SDG values into learning media in a creative way, thereby fostering contextual and enjoyable learning experiences for students.
