Abstract

This study aims to determine the secondary metabolites contained in Barangan banana weevil (Musa paradisiaca (L.)) and antioxidant activity based on the IC50 value. The stages of this research include processing plant materials, making ethanol extracts, characterization examinations, phytochemical screening, and testing the antioxidant activity of Barangan banana weevil. The ethanol extract of Barangan banana weevil was processed by the maceration method using 96% ethanol, and the antioxidant activity was tested using the DPPH method. The results showed that the ethanol extract of Barangan banana weevil contained chemical compounds such as alkaloids, glycosides, flavonoids, saponins, tannins, and triterpenoids. The determination of the antioxidant activity of Barangan banana weevil obtained an IC50 value of 180.8 µg/mL. This means that the ethanol extract of Barangan banana weevil contains secondary metabolites and has the potential as an antioxidant with a weak category.

Abstract

Candy is used as a source of high calories, so it is often eaten during activities such as work, studying, and exercise. In general, the candy that is widely circulated in the community is hard candy, which has a hard texture and a shiny appearance. The benefits of candy for the human body are that it adds nutrients, minerals, and other vitamin content because this candy is made from real fruit juice. The purpose of this study was to formulate hard candy with the main ingredient of sweet orange juice with a variety of sucrose in order to get a delicious formula in the form of taste that is expected to meet the nutritional requirements of both children and adults. formulated candy. Hard candy is made using the open pan method. The research is experimental and includes the processing of sweet orange ingredients, making sweet orange juice, making hard candy and hard candy test parameters including organoleptic tests, pH tests, weight uniformity tests, water content tests, ash content tests and tests of preference level (hedonic test) by the respondent. Based on the results of the study, sweet orange juice can be formulated into hard candy preparations with sucrose 1,5; 2 and 3 g. The obtained results with candy shape, taste, and hardness are quite good; they have a pH of 5, and they meet weight uniformity requirements with a coefficient of variation of 1.08, 1.30, and 1.11%, moisture content 2.4, 2.3 and 1.7%, ash content 1.0, 0.13 and 0%. The results of the organoleptic preference level test in terms of liking, taste, and texture showed that F3 was the most preferred formula. The sucrose levels have an effect on the level of liking.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the levels of macro minerals such as potassium, calcium, sodium, and magnesium in fresh noni fruit. The sample of noni fruit was destructed, then quantitative analysis of potassium, calcium, sodium, and magnesium were performed using atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS) at a wavelength 766.5 nm for potassium; 422.7 nm for calcium; 589.0 nm for sodium; and 285.2 nm for magnesium. The advantages of this method are selective and sensitive. The average % recoveries were obtained in 109.7 % for potassium; 96.4 % for calcium; 99.7 % for sodium; and 92.4 % for magnesium. This method is very suitable for determining mineral content in fruit as shown in the recovery results and in accordance with the validation requirements.

Abstract

Cloud-based services are service system mechanisms used by companies or organizations in conducting computerized and integrated transactions in a computer network. A service system must of course be balanced with a level of security. This is used to anticipate cyber crimes that have the potential to occur. Cloud-based services themselves are usually offered by a Cloud Service Provider (CSP). CSPs are generally configured so that they are accessible on the public internet for their services. Companies that prioritize data security want a system that is safe from a series of cyber crimes. Private cloud computing scheme is a solution that can be implemented as an alternative. The problem that occurs is the possibility of MITC (Man in the Cloud) attacks that infiltrate and manipulate identities so that they are detected as fake insider threats on cloud systems. This thesis aims to carry out threat analysis with the Man in the Cloud attack technique on private cloud computing services based on a study of the ISO 27032 standard. Reports and documentation of the results of the analysis are expected to become recommendations for the cybersecurity investigation and management process related to threats to cloud services with private schemes cloud computing.

Abstract

Shrimp in Indonesia are generally exported abroad after removing the head, tail, and skin. One alternative to the use of shrimp shell waste that has high economic value is processing shrimp shells into chitosan. The purpose of this study was to determine the shelf life of catfish using chitosan and to determine the optimal concentration of chitosan in catfish preservation. Chitosan applied to catfish showed that in the addition of a 0% chitosan solution, it had a shelf life of up to day 2 for 48 hours for a 0.5 solution; 1; 1.5 and 2% shelf life up to day 5 or for 120 hours. The most optimal concentration of chitosan for use in catfish is a 2% chitosan solution, and the total plate number (ALT) test meets the requirements of the SNI standard so that it can still be consumed.

Abstract

Teachers as human resources in schools have demands that the implementation and work-life balance and flexible work arrangement can be balanced and minimize work stress. The implementation of online learning systems that can make teachers do work-life balance and flexible work arrangements should be able to reduce stress and increase job satisfaction. But the reality in the field is that many teachers do not get job satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to analyze the description and effect of work-life balance, flexible work arrangement, job satisfaction and job stress. The object of this research is the State Senior High School PNS Teachers in Pematang Siantar City who have been certified as many as 168 people. Data analysis techniques used are normality test, regression analysis, correlation coefficient and determination and hypothesis testing. The test was carried out using the SPSS Statistic version 20 program. The results showed are Jjb satisfaction, work-life balance, flexible work arrangement and work stress were in the answers with the criteria of agree/satisfied. The practice of flexible work arrangements affects work-life balance. The results of the regression have a positive influence between each variable. The results of the correlation coefficient analysis obtained a strong and positive relationship. The results of hypothesis testing show a positive and significant effect. Work stress variable is not a moderating variable. It is concluded that the application of work-life balance and flexible work arrangements can increase job satisfaction and work stress is a debilitating variable.

Abstract

Nanoparticles are nano-sized materials that are widely used because they have many advantages and very beneficial benefits. One method of making nanoparticles biologically. In the process of chemically synthesizing silver nanoparticles, nanomaterials are toxic and not environmentally friendly. So, other options are used, such as biological synthesis with natural materials as reducing catalysts and plant extract bioreductors that can reduce the amount of dangerous materials in the waste. This study aims to make nanoparticles from kemloko ethanol extract with biological methods. Extraction was carried out by the maceration method and synthesis of silver nanoparticles by a biological method with functional group analysis characteristics using FTIR. The results of this study indicate that these nanoparticles indicate that silver nanoparticles can be synthesized biologically for silver nanoparticles and the FTIRcharacteristic results show that silver nanoparticles contain OH, C=O, N=O, C-O, and C-H groups.
