Abstract

Students have difficulty understanding the history of the Hindu, Buddhist, and Islamic kingdoms in science learning because teachers do not use additional media during learning. This study aims to develop media and to determine the level of validity of the "Kirandalam" media and student learning outcomes. This type of research and development R&D research uses the ADDIE model, and the research instruments used in this study are test and non-test techniques. Test techniques can be done by giving tests to obtain students' abilities in cognitive aspects, while non-test techniques are in the form of instruments that will be assessed by media and material experts. The subjects of this study were grade IV students of SD Negeri 1 Bago, with a total of 25 students. "Kirandalam" media received a percentage from media experts of 93.33%, material experts of 88%, and teacher responses of 93.30%. From the three assessors, it was included in the very feasible category so that it can be used for learning media in science learning. The results of the t-test showed that the average score of student learning outcomes before using the media was 63 and the average score after using the media was 81, and based on the paired samples test, the significant value of 0.000 ≤ 0.05 indicated that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Thus, the Kirandalam media can improve the learning outcomes of grade IV students in science learning.

Abstract

Learning management is a process carried out by the teacher in managing and directing learning activities in the classroom. Good learning management can improve student achievement, because it is able to have a positive influence on motivation, creativity, and students' understanding of learning material. In learning management, there are several things that need to be considered by the teacher, including planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing learning. In planning lessons, teachers must set clear learning objectives, determine effective learning methods, and choose relevant learning materials. While in the implementation of learning, teachers must be able to facilitate learning well, manage learning time, and motivate students to be active in the learning process. Furthermore, in learning evaluation, teachers need to periodically evaluate student learning outcomes, provide constructive feedback, and make improvements to learning methods and materials if necessary. In the end, the development of learning is an important matter in learning management. Teachers need to keep abreast of technological and pedagogical developments, and always develop their own abilities in leading and managing learning. By implementing good learning management, it is hoped that it can improve student achievement, as well as create a conducive and enjoyable learning environment.

Abstract

Humanistic learning is an approach that emphasizes the importance of individual student experiences and moral values in the learning process. Therefore, this research aims to identify the effectiveness of the humanistic learning approach in internalizing students' character in elementary schools, with a focus on the impact of teaching methods on the development of students' attitudes and character behaviors. In elementary education, character internalization is crucial for building a foundation of positive attitudes and behaviors. The results of this approach indicate that students engaged in humanistic learning tend to show improvements in character aspects, such as honesty, discipline, and a positive attitude towards school. Additionally, they are also better able to face social challenges in their environment. By internalizing good character, it is hoped that students will not only become high-achieving individuals but also be able to contribute positively to society and their surroundings. This research highlights the need for the integration of a humanistic approach in the education curriculum, in order to optimize the formation of strong character among the younger generation, as well as to encourage best practices in education that are oriented towards the holistic development of children.

Abstract

Quality, relevance and competence are three aspects of higher education that are interrelated and have a direct contribution to increasing the nation's competitiveness in the field of human resources. This study uses qualitative research methods. The increasingly fierce competition for job seekers from higher education graduates in Indonesia demands the attention of higher education providers to always make adjustments to the curriculum. Increasing the relevance of this education should be the target of continuous quality improvement as part of an overall higher education quality assurance system.

Abstract

The philosophy of educational science serves as a critical framework for understanding the theoretical and practical foundations of education. This research explores the nature of the philosophy of educational science with a focus on the dimensions of epistemology, ontology, and axiology. With a qualitative approach, this research examines how philosophical insights contribute to the development of inclusive, ethical, and innovative educational practices. The research findings emphasize the need to align educational goals with societal values while also addressing the conflict between traditional paradigms and the demands of contemporary education. This research provides a strong theoretical foundation for the development of a transformative education system in the 21st century.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the integration of educational philosophy in the context of the digital age to achieve a balance between the utilisation of technology and humanistic values, focusing on the influence of technology on educational practices and students' learning experiences. Through data collection that included interviews with educators, surveys of students' perceptions of technology in learning, and analyses of educational policies, it was found that while technology can improve access to information and interactivity, there is a risk of neglecting essential humanistic values in education. Results show that a balanced approach between technology and humanism not only increases student motivation and engagement, but also strengthens interpersonal relationships in the teaching and learning process. The findings have deep significance in the context of education, where the application of technology must be accompanied by the cultivation of strong moral and social values. The implications of this study point to the importance of developing holistic educational policies, which not only facilitate technology integration, but also support students' character growth and empathy in acquiring knowledge. As such, this research contributes to the endeavour of creating a more humanised educational environment in the growing digital age, and serves as a reference for educators and policy makers to formulate effective strategies in facing today's educational challenges.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship education is an important field to teach in schools/universities because it can develop personality characteristics needed in the world of work. Apart from that, entrepreneurship education can also introduce the world of entrepreneurship, providing opportunities to create jobs for graduates, so that it can support economic growth and community development. In today's ever-evolving world, a person not only needs to have special knowledge in a particular field, but also must have skills such as creativity, innovation, being able to see opportunities, thinking analytically, and the ability to take risks wisely. Entrepreneurship education helps students to develop these personality characteristics through various activities such as learning such as debriefing, entrepreneurship training, simulations, making business plans, internships, and entrepreneurship practices that involve students in generating ideas, identifying opportunities, solving problems, and making informed decisions wise.

Abstract

The concept of truth plays an important role in shaping the philosophy and practice of education. This research explores scientific and non-scientific theories of truth in the philosophy of education, analyzing their implications for contemporary education systems. Using qualitative methods and a hermeneutic approach, this research highlights coherence, correspondence, and pragmatic theories, as well as non-scientific approaches such as spiritual and cultural truths. The research results indicate the need for an integrative educational framework that respects scientific rigor while also acknowledging diverse cultural and spiritual perspectives. This research contributes to the creation of a balanced education system that meets both global and local needs.

Abstract

The management of a school is greatly influenced by the leadership style of a school principal. The aim of this research is to identify the application of good practices and strategies applied by school principals to build human resources in the UPT SD Negeri 229 Gresik school environment with character. The research method used in this research is a qualitative research method, where the informants for this research include the principal, teachers, students and guardians of UPT SD Negeri 229 Gresik. The research results show that the leadership style used by the principal of UPT SD Negeri 229 Gresik always appreciates every new breakthrough idea, innovation and even ideas from teachers and staff of UPT SD Negeri 229 Gresik and always applies a culture of discussion at every event and in almost all programs and policies. to be taken. In building student character at the school, the principal of UPT SD Negeri 229 Gresik also implemented several programs to improve vital aspects of behavior including religion, tolerance, discipline, responsibility and cooperation. The results of interviews conducted with teachers and staff, as well as students and several parents of UPT SD Negeri 229 Gresik, the principal was able to apply values, especially the application of disciplinary character both among teachers and students, strengthening religious values. Behavioral changes related to the character of teachers and students in a positive direction have been very clearly observed since the leadership of the new school principal.

Abstract

Pedagogical and professional competencies are crucial for creating effective and meaningful learning. In the era of educational transformation, educational consultants provide strategic solutions to support teacher competency development through needs-based training, intensive mentoring, and data-driven evaluations. This article aims to explore the role of educational consultants in enhancing teachers' pedagogical and professional competencies, based on recent literature from the last five years. The findings indicate that educational consultants' involvement improves teachers' classroom management, curriculum comprehension, and implementation of innovative teaching methods. It is recommended that schools, governments, and educational consultants work together to ensure sustainable teacher competency development..
