Abstract

Readers can verify the information or read more about the topic. The bibliography also allows the author to retrace the steps that have been taken and find information that the author has used for the assignment and find further views or ideas discussed by the author. In fact, students have not been able to use the Mendeley application in writing citations and making a bibliography, whereas nowadays students are required to write articles that will be published in national journals before graduation. Therefore, Mendeley training is needed for fluency in article preparation, because all national journals demand to use of the Mendeley application in citation writing and making a bibliography. The purpose of this training is for students to be able to write good and correct citations and bibliography. Implementation Method The approach method used is direct training on proposals that have been prepared by students who are programming the final project. This training was carried out at the University of Flores for 8th-semester students of the mathematics education study program who programmed their final project. The total number of students who participated in the training was 20 people, requiring participants to bring their own laptops and proposals. The method is used in the form of lectures, practice question sessions, and answers. Participants are enthusiastic and motivated to take part in the training because the knowledge gained from this training will greatly assist participants in writing final assignments and articles. More than 80% of students are able to install applications and plug-in Ms. Word independently. However, some students still have difficulty registering the application using email. Students are expected to carry out continuous exercises so that they can apply Mendeley in the life of the scientific community.

Abstract

The COVID-19 outbreak, which in recent years has become a pandemic in almost all countries in the world, has had a negative impact on the physical and psychological health of individuals and communities. One of the age groups that is a concern during this pandemic is the elderly. During the pandemic, to prevent the elderly from feeling lonely, anxious, stressed which can affect the health of the elderly such as a decrease in the body's immunity, decreased cognitive function, a program of elderly activities is needed, including cognitive therapy and elderly gymnastics. The health conditions and psychological conditions faced by the elderly during the pandemic as a whole can have an impact on health, especially on the body's immunity and the quality of life of the elderly. The purpose of this activity is so that the elderly can take an active role in cognitive therapy and gymnastics activities for the elderly and understand and apply the importance of maintaining health during a pandemic. This strengthening is a preventive and rehabilitative effort in improving the health and quality of life of the elderly. The form of activity program carried out by the method of carrying out socialization, implementing cognitive therapy in the elderly, seeing the results of evaluation of changes after therapy is carried out, carrying out elderly gymnastics activities in Gheo Ghoma Village, Ende Regency. The results of this activity can be seen from the participation of the elderly in carrying out cognitive therapy and gymnastics for the elderly. There are changes in the cognitive improvement of the elderly after therapy and an increase in public insight and understanding of the importance of maintaining the health of the elderly during the Covid-19 pandemic. Cognitive therapy and elderly gymnastics programs are simple things that need to be done regularly and consistently, in order to build community awareness in maintaining the health of the elderly and improving the quality of life of the elderly, especially during the current pandemic

Abstract

Lamatou State Elementary School, located in Painapang Village, Lewolema District, East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province is one of the schools affected by Covid-19. During the Covid-19 period, this school dismiss its students and carried out online learning. In addition to online learning, teachers also visit students' homes to provide assistance for students who do haven't Android phones or students who do have limited funds to buy data package credits. Teaching mentoring activities at students' homes are carried out for one month in order to increase the motivation to learn of SDN Lamatou students during covid-19. The results of the one-month activity show that SDN Lamatou students are motivated and hope to continue studying at home through mentoring. This can be seen from the responses of the students through the questionnaires distributed after the mentoring.

Abstract

English is one of the languages that have to be mastered from an early stage. Language skills that have to be mastered consist of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Vocabulary has an important role in supporting the development of language skills. Vocabulary introduced to elementary students were basic vocabularies that were easy to memorize, remember and implement in communicating. Vocabularies were presented well-equipped with pictures and students felt it easy to remember. The approach was a deductive approach equipped with game and reward. Games and rewards are very helpful in facilitating students’ active engagement during the learning process. The learning environment feels alive, not boring, and students feel happy and more relaxed

Abstract

The real work-study program (KKN) is one of the programs of the University of Flores as one of the implementations of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely student service to the community to help and guide the community in utilizing resources that are expected to help develop the potential of the community. This program is carried out by aligning community service activities among lecturers and students and still bringing together the values of togetherness at the University of Flores. This program is expected to be a means to assist students in applying real and reliable knowledge so that it can provide value and benefits to society in developing their entrepreneurship. The implementation of KKN starts from 03 August to 03 September 2020 in the Paupire Family, Ende Tengah District, Ende Regency. Activities and work programs are carried out during the implementation of the Community Service Program in Paupire Village, Central Ende District, starting from Paupire Village to carry out Real Work Lectures (KKN) in that place. Planning a work program in the Paupire village, Central Ende District during the Community Service Program (03 August to 03 September 2020). Carry out activities and work programs related to the Entrepreneurship theme that have been planned during the KKN Mandiri. Doing community service with KKN students and village employees at the Paupire Urban Village Office. In general, the KKN activities carried out in Paupire Village, Central Ende District, went well because the community response was also good. Planning The implementation of the Mandiri KKN program and activities is expected to be of benefit to the community, especially Entrepreneurship activities in the Paupire sub-district, Ende Tengah Subdistrict, to use business capital properly, to optimize resources for production, and to make good use of marketing.

Abstract

Giving guidance to young learners needs a specific strategy that fixes to their needs and world. This social service was conducted from May up to June for all parents who jlin in the organization of teachers and parents in SDIT Alif Smart Surakarta.  We have three methods in conducting this activity: (1) Need Analysis, which was done by interviewing parents about their way of accompanying their children in learning English at home, and (2) Socialization about contextual teaching and learning in learning English. It was done by giving material explanation about the notion, steps, and implementation of contextual teaching and learning in learning English at home in accordance to their daily life; and (3) Feedback. This was done by giving feedback about the implementation of contextual teaching and learning in daily life English at home.  At first, we coordinated the activity. And secondly, there’s a meeting to encourage all members to have motivation besides giving material for them. The material is all about the implementation of contextual teaching and learning in guiding children to learn English at home. In fact, we discussed how to help all children to learn English and deal with their daily life. There are also questions and answers about how to guide children to learn English effectively and how to solve problems in learning English.

Abstract

Topographically, Potulando Village is located in the highlands and lowlands and is located in the center of Ende City. The Potulando Village area is a mixed area, namely economic and residential areas. As one of the urban villages located in the middle of the city, the residential area is included in a densely populated area. Narrow yards are left unproductive and unproductive. Home yard land can be used as an effort to meet family food availability through intensification of cultivation of various types of agricultural crops. One of the farming techniques that can be applied to a narrow area is hydroponics. Hydroponics is a method of farming by utilizing water without using soil as a growing medium. The method used in Community Service activities in the group of PKK cadres in the village of Potulando with several methods, namely 1) socialization of narrow land use, good farming methods, and fertilization methods, and 2) training and practice of making hydroponic plants. From the results of this activity, it is expected to increase the knowledge and skills of the community in the use of home yards for farming using hydroponic techniques.

Abstract

In the industrial era 4.0, all sectors are required to create new innovations, including education. However, the facts on the ground show that learning is still limited and monotonous. Meanwhile, early childhood is stimulated through interesting and fun activities. This training activity aims to provide new insights on the preparation of learning tools by combining creative dance learning. The method of implementation is done by providing material and direct practice. The number of participants who took part in the training activities were 6 educators and 3 students. The results of the training stated that all participants were able to follow all stages of activities and prepare daily lesson plans with creative dance lessons. Thus, it can be concluded that this training can have a positive impact on teachers so that they are motivated to develop lesson plans

Abstract

Tiwutewa Village, about 16 km east of Ende City, has several objects that have the potential as cultural heritage. The purpose of this activity is to record objects that are suspected to have the potential to be cultural heritage objects. The method used is library research, observation and interviews. The results obtained, there are three objects that are suspected of being cultural heritage objects, namely: Tubumusu Oranata, Keda and Traditional Houses. These three objects are located precisely in the village of Kurumboro. In appearance the condition of these three objects is still well maintained because of the presence of the Mosalaki who have the task of guarding these sites. In addition, every year there are always traditional rituals centered on the three sites.

Abstract

We should know in detail the characteristics, strengths and weaknesses of the village, so that village development can be in accordance with the potential of the village to be sold. In this case, local residents can participate in village development, so that they can be used as subjects in the development of their village. One of the efforts made is by way of community empowerment. The method of implementation is to coordinate with the Head of Niramesi Village to obtain an overview of the profile and geographical conditions and demographics of the village, then conduct a survey to each hamlet to determine the state and digital capabilities of the community members, the next stage is to create an e_Mail account for the community and the technical stage of socialization is to carry out digital literacy. Through digital literacy activities, it can open insight and knowledge for the residents of Niramesi Village, Wolowaru District to build digital literacy and use digital technology appropriately. The public can take advantage of digital means for promotion and marketing of brands or products through digital media and digital media can reach a wider and cost-efficient market.
