Abstract

Ashar Farm is a goat farming business in Balai Cacang Village, North Payakumbuh District, Payakumbuh City, West Sumatra, Indonesia. It was established in 2020 with a starting population of 30 goats. An intensive maintenance system has been applied. The condition of the farm is currently experiencing a population decline; as many as 17 goats are kept. The population decline is due to a lack of appetite for livestock, resulting in death. So far, the farmer provides only forage without adding appetite-enhancing supplements such as vitamin B complex as animal feeding. It assumes that there needs to be more nutrition for the goats. On the other hand, a Vitamin B complex can increase livestock productivity—the community engagement activity aimed to provide knowledge and skills of breeders about administering Vitamin B complex. The method of this activity was carried out by socialization and demonstrations using the Vitamin B complex as an additive in feed. As a result of this activity, Ashar Farm farmers gain new knowledge to overcome the lack of appetite for livestock and how to inject vitamin B complex into the goats so that their livestock business can be more productive.

Abstract

Narcotics and alcohol abuse is a health problem and a new thing of concern and is contained in the SDGs, namely ensuring a healthy life and promoting prosperity for all people of all ages. In 2021, around 269 million people worldwide abused drugs, while in Indonesia; there were 1,307 people (833 cases). Factors causing drug use are individual, environmental, and family, ranging from trial and error to curiosity, dependence, and distribution. The negative impact on society is medical, social, legal, economic, and security. The engagement community activity aimed to increase public knowledge of drug use history and provide health education. It was provided with two meetings and demonstrations of various drugs. Efforts given to patients who use drugs were counselling therapy and supportive psychotherapy. This activity was carried out on January 25-26, 2023, with 20 participants. The evaluation results showed increased adolescent knowledge about the dangers of drugs, family roles, and parenting styles based on the pretest and posttest. Suggestions for the health centre are to monitor the results of this education.

Abstract

One of the factors influencing the level of drug usage is the level of knowledge. Knowledge is an essential aspect in shaping concrete actions. In society, various issues related to drug usage often arise due to a lack of understanding and incorrect behaviours regarding drug usage. Educating the public about the selection and rational use of drugs is compulsary cause of that. This activity was carried out on May 7, 2023, at Jondul Housing, Padang City. The education method employed was a lecture delivered to 35 participating mothers. This method has proven effective for all segments of society, regardless of their educational background. The general public showed high enthusiasm in participating and actively engaged in interactions, asking questions, and discussing with the speaker. The conclusion drawn from this activity is that education and outreach enhanced the public knowledge about the rational use of drugs.

Abstract

Batu Busuk has an excellent opportunity to become one of the tourist areas in the eastern region of Padang City. As a tourist area, the aspects of comfort and cleanliness in the area and surroundings are essential to provide a memorable travel experience, including the residential areas nearby. Lack of public awareness of waste management and waste treatment and no application of the 3R principles of reduce, reuse and recycle are the problems encountered in Batu Busuk. The community service implementation team carried out a series of activities from 2021-2022 to support sustainable tourism development. This activity aims to increase community understanding of waste and the importance of waste management and introduce and enhance the formation of a waste bank in Batu Busuk. The activities included counselling on waste management, comparative studies and field visits to Farmers Women Group Tunas Harapan and Panca Daya waste bank, which have implemented the treatment of organic and non-organic waste into various economically valuable products. It can be concluded that waste management in Batu Busuk is needed to support sustainable tourism. A Batu Busuk Waste Bank unit is required to effectively solve the waste management problem and reduce waste generation in Batu Busuk and its tourism area. Training on the method to treat both organic waste into plant nutrients and non-organic waste into various crafts must be conducted. The products have economic value and are an effective solution for reducing the volume of waste.

Abstract

The industrial development process needs to be well planned so that the process can be carried out in a systematic, comprehensive, futuristic and measurable manner. The planned national industrial development policy has been outlined in the National Industrial Development Master Plan (RIPIN) 2015-2035. Based on data from the Central Bureau of Statistics for Solok Regency in 2022, it is known that the role of the agricultural sector in the regional economy is illustrated by its contribution to the Regency's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) Solok is still very dominant, while the contribution of the industrial sector is still around 5%. Therefore the Solok Regency Industrial Development Plan is needed to accelerate the achievement of the abovementioned target. It is even hoped that it can exceed the target. In addition, it intends to have a systematic and measurable plan for achieving the future industrial development vision in Solok Regency. The Solok Regency Industrial Development Plan for 2022-2042 has been prepared with a complete study, referring to relevant documents and field visits related to community business potential and existing resource potential. Five leading industries had been determined due to a study in Solok Regency.

Abstract

Financial reports are financial information about a business entity that must be prepared by business entity managers, including managers of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The Indonesian Accountants Association sets two standards that MSMEs can use as guidelines in preparing their financial reports. The two standards are the Financial Accounting Standards for Entities Without Public Accountability (SAK ETAP) and the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small and Medium Entities (SAK EMKM). MSME managers are free to choose both standards with the condition that they must be consistent in each report. Therefore, a webinar activity was needed for MSME managers regarding SAK ETAP and SAK EMKM. This webinar was attended by 52 participants from various MSMEs in Indonesia. The webinar implementation method consisted of 3 stages; (1) introduction of SAK EMKM, (2) applied of SAK EMKM, and (3) discussions. This webinar provided knowledge and information to MSMEs managers to be developed and applied in preparing financial reports for their MSMEs.

The training was delivered in lectures, simulations, and case studies over 8 hours. A total of 38 nurses participated in this training. After attending the training, the nurses' knowledge scores improved from 24% to 88%. Additionally, their attitudes towards the use of social media showed a positive increase, with 96.4% having a positive attitude post-training. Competence in using social media also improved, from 63.43% to 84.6%. Abstract

Depression is often defined as a mental condition characterized by severe despondency and dejection, typically also with feelings of inadequacy and guilt, often accompanied by a lack of energy and disturbance of appetite and sleep. Its mortality rate is 800 thousand deaths worldwide. This project aims to make a gamified Android-based application to prevent and treat depression titled Mallow apps. The stages of this project were planning, designing, prototyping, usability testing and satisfaction, and publishing. Figma was the primary tool used for designing and prototyping. The prototype’s functionality was measured by success rate and ease of use. User satisfaction was measured by using a SERVQUAL-based questionnaire. Mallow has several features: medication and appointment reminders, drug information, depression self-test, education specifying depression, and a mood board, a collage art therapy. The functionality test showed a success rate of 88.9% and an easiness rating of 4.4 on a scale of one to five in the latest Mallow version. The satisfaction evaluation showed an expectation score of 4.63 and a perception score of 4.42 on a scale from 1 to 5. It is possible to use Mallow Apps for widespread.
