Abstract

This research focuses on the issue of the lack of spiritual experience gained by visitors to religious and cultural tourism in Indonesiatourism cases for the Al Jabbar Grand Mosque, the Mount Padang Site, and the Sagati Cultural Park in West Java. The aim of this research is to identify the spiritual level of visitors to religious and cultural tourism objects in West Java. This problem is solved based on theories of the spiritual experiences of religious and cultural tourism visitors with variablesworship, science, da'wah, tadabur, diversity, self-reflection, and the search for meaning. This research uses two approaches, namely qualitative and quantitative. A qualitative approach was carried out using the Maudhu'i Al Qur'an and Hadith analysis method to identify the main ideas for the development of religious and cultural tourism as a whole.based on visitors' spiritual experiences. The quantitative approach in this research uses a descriptive statistical analysis method of respondents' answers regarding the level of spiritual experience of visitors. The results of this research conclude the classification of the spiritual level of tourist objects through an analysis of the differences between the reality of respondents' satisfaction answers in the field and the theoretical conception of the spiritual experience that visitors should have. This research also provides recommendations for improving the quality of spiritual experiences at religious and cultural tourism objects.

Abstract

The Indonesian nation is rich in tradition and history. The historical cultural heritage spread widely from Sabang to Merauke shows that Indonesia is a great nation that has cultural historical roots since ancient times. One of the historical and cultural relics includes temples, sacred buildings which became icons of Indonesian civilization until the 17th century. The temple is an iconic building that is proof of the greatness of the Indonesian nation because it was built with high architectural calculations and technology and has a religious meaning that is rich in transcendental values. The temple is an ancient site in the form of a building that functions as a place of worship for followers of Hinduism and Buddhism. Temples are places of dharma, or burial places for certain kings, for example Kidal Temple, which is identified as the dharma of King Anusapati, while Candi Singosari is identified as the Dharma of Kertanegara as Shiva. However, in the Central Java and Yogyakarta regions, temples usually function as places of worship where Hindus and Buddhists carry out religious rituals. Nowadays, the temple functions more as a historical site that can attract tourists, both local and foreign.

Abstract

E-cigarettes are gaining increasing popularity worldwide. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that there are nearly one billion (984 million) smokers globally, accounting for approximately one-fifth of the adult population. The use of e-cigarettes in Southeast Asian countries has also seen a rise since 2015, although at a slower pace compared to high-income countries. Presently, Indonesia has the highest prevalence of e-cigarette use in Southeast Asia at 11.8%, while Thailand has the lowest prevalence at 3.3%. Testes play a crucial role in male reproductive function. Decreased testicular size can lead to disruptions in testicular function, resulting in infertility. Testicular size is significantly correlated with sperm density in both fertile and infertile men. The objective of this study is to investigate changes in testicular weight due to exposure to conventional cigarettes, nicotine-containing, and nicotine-free e-cigarettes. This experimental research utilizes a post-test control only design. The sample comprises 24 male Wistar rats divided into four groups: Group A (control), Group B (exposed to conventional cigarettes), Group C (exposed to nicotine e-cigarettes), and Group D (exposed to non-nicotine e-cigarettes). Exposure to cigarettes lasts for 30 days, after which the rats undergo surgery to remove their testes. The research findings indicate a decrease in testicular size due to exposure to conventional cigarettes, nicotine e-cigarettes, and non-nicotine e-cigarettes. There is no significant difference observed among the three types of exposure. In conclusion, conventional cigarettes, nicotine-containing, and nicotine-free e-cigarettes elicit similar effects in reducing testicular weight in male Wistar rats.
