Abstract

This research examines the importance of strengthening character education based on Pancasila values in addressing the challenges of diversity in Indonesia. The focus is on integrating tolerance and global diversity values into the formation of the Pancasila Student Profile, which aims to enable students to live harmoniously in a multicultural society. Using a case study in Sukowono Village, known as Pancasila Village, this research identified best practices in tolerance-based character education, such as interfaith cooperation and joint celebrations of religious holidays. This qualitative research approach involved participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis to explore how Pancasila values, especially tolerance, were implemented in community life and formal education. The data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The study proposes an effective project-based learning model to internalize tolerance values in education. This model included stages such as introducing the concept of tolerance, field visits to places of worship, interfaith collaborative projects, and experience reflection. The research results showed that this learning model successfully enhanced students' understanding of the importance of tolerance and diversity, shaping more inclusive students who are prepared to face global challenges. These findings are expected to serve as a guide for educators and policymakers in developing curricula that support the character formation of Pancasila Students throughout Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of depression, self-efficacy, resource management, and emotional and cognitive factors on student learning engagement. This study uses a quantitative approach, with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires. Respondents of this study were 171 high school students who were determined by the Convenience Sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is a multiple linear test using SPSS by conducting prerequisite tests consisting of normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test. The results of this study indicate that depression, self-efficacy, resource management, emotional factors, and cognitive factors significantly affect student learning engagement. However, emotional and cognitive factors partially do not affect learning engagement. The implications of this study are the importance of knowing students' mental health, developing self-efficacy and resource management skills, strengthening students' emotional and cognitive factors, and implementing programs that must be implemented in every school to improve student learning engagement.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the potential of mindfulness and emotional intelligence as predictors of self-efficacy among high school students. A quantitative approach using a correlational design was employed, with 68 grade XI students at Bodhicitta Buddhist High School in Medan selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ), Emotional Intelligence Scale, and General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES). Multiple regression analysis revealed that emotional intelligence significantly influenced self-efficacy (p = 0.000), while mindfulness showed no significant effect (p = 0.067), although it exhibited a strong correlation (r = 0.659). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.628) indicates that mindfulness and emotional intelligence collectively explain 62.8% of the variability in self-efficacy, while other factors account for 37.2%. The findings highlight that emotional intelligence is the dominant predictor of self-efficacy, whereas mindfulness is supportive. Given these results, emotional intelligence training is recommended as a key strategy for enhancing students' self-efficacy, while structured and long-term mindfulness interventions may further complement this development. The findings provide valuable insights for emphasizing the necessity of a holistic educational approach, blending emotional intelligence training with mindfulness-based strategies to enhance students' psychological resilience and academic success.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how principals’ leader humility influences teachers’ innovative work behavior through the mediating roles of psychological safety and informal learning. This study used a quantitative survey method. There were four instruments used, including Teacher Innovative Work Behavior Scale, Expressed Humility Scale, Individual Psychological Safety Scale, and Informal Learning Scale. Data were collected from 221 teachers in Indonesia using a convenience sampling technique. Hypotheses were tested using Model 6 of the Hayes PROCESS macro. All hypotheses were supported by the data, indicating that the effect of leader humility on innovative work behavior is mediated by psychological safety (β = 0.06; 95% CI = [0.03, 0.11]), informal learning (β = 0.09; 95% CI = [0.02, 0.15]), and serial mediation of psychological safety and informal learning (β = 0.07; 95% CI = [0.03, 0.12]). These findings highlight the importance of school principal training focused on humility, interpersonal risk management training for teachers, the establishment of teacher learning groups, and enhancement of school management support for teachers’ innovation processes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the construction and reconstruction of the implementation of Child-Friendy School (CFS) policies in bullying prevention are unique in each school by using the theoretical approach of behaviorism and social constructivism. This study uses a case study method with a qualitative approach involving three senior high schools located in Surakarta, Indonesia. The informants were teachers, principals, and students in child-friendly schools. The research instrument used unstructured interviews and school observations as well as focus group discussions with policymakers related to child-friendly schools. Data analysis techniques in this study were carried out interactively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the implementation of CFS with a behavioristic pattern needs to be strengthened with a pattern of social constructivism because it is not significant enough to institutionalize CFS in schools, especially in efforts to prevent bullying. The recommendations submitted are conducting a needs analysis according to the conditions of each school by stakeholders, building student character through the student literacy humanity movement, and rootdays activities so that students have experience, thought construction and tolerance attitudes towards diversity. The above makes child-friendly schools can be a strategy to prevent bullying.

Abstract

This study explores the utilization of n-Track, a digital audio workstation (DAW), as a collaborative tool in private music education. Unlike conventional music learning tools, n-Track enables real-time digital collaboration between teachers and students, facilitating asynchronous learning. This study presented a novel approach by utilizing mobile based DAW technology to enhance both in person and virtual music instruction, making it more accessible and interactive. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, data was collected through observations and interviews with students engaged in n-Track-based learning. Thematic coding was used to identify recurring patterns and themes in the data, providing insights into the app’s impact on student and teacher interaction. The findings indicate that n-Track enhances student engagement, supports independent practice, and improves teacher-student interaction efficiency. Key features such as multitrack recording, MIDI sequencing, and real-time feedback facilitate structured musical arrangements and instrumental skill development. This study also highlights the importance of digital literacy among educators to maximize the benefits of technology in music education. Despite limitations in the free version of n-Track, it remains effective in fostering creativity and autonomy in music learning. This research contributes to the advancement of digital music pedagogy, emphasizing the role of DAWs in modern music education.
