Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the outcomes (Level 4) of the Kirkpatrick Model in the implementation of the Guru Penggerak Program in Bogor City State High School/Vocational School. Using a qualitative approach with an evaluative method, data were obtained through documentation studies and interviews with 14 school principals selected via purposive sampling. Data analysis followed Miles and Huberman's interactive model, consisting of three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Theme frequencies were analyzed and visualized using Python and pandas. This study shows that the Guru Penggerak Program has a varied impact on schools, with the most dominant impact seen on improving student learning outcomes, although the effect is not even at the institutional level. Based on correlation analysis and documentation studies, the impact of programs on schools shows a complex relationship. The correlation of -0.65 between the learning community and the role of the principal and -0.41 between the role of the principal and the learning outcome indicated a lack of managerial support. A correlation of 0.00 between community learning and learning outcomes and 0.11 between community learning and positive impact on school indicates that the impact of the program is limited without structural support. A correlation of -0.54 between student learning outcomes and positive impacts on schools shows an unequal impact, while a correlation of 0.47 between the role of principals and positive impacts on schools confirms the importance of the role of leadership in creating a climate that supports change.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a character education model based on a deep learning approach in traditional dance learning for elementary school students in both urban and rural areas of Bandung. The Research and Development (R&D) method is employed, adapting the steps proposed by Borg & Gall, which include preliminary study, planning, model development, limited trial, revision, wider trial, and final model refinement. The model is structured around three core phases in the learning process: movement meaning exploration, value reflection, and expression through dance creation. Data collection utilizes observation sheets, interview guides, character assessment rubrics, and documentation, while analysis employs qualitative techniques (data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing) combined with descriptive statistics. Implementation of the model over three sessions in two elementary schools resulted in significant improvements across four key character aspects: independence, collaboration, responsibility, and critical thinking. The deep learning approach has proven effective in fostering students' value awareness through reflective, meaningful, and contextual learning experiences. This model is expected to serve as a strategic alternative for embedding character values into traditional dance instruction at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the recruitment system, selection mechanisms, and professional development for special education teachers in Banjarmasin City using an explanatory sequential research design. In the first stage of the research, quantitative data was collected through questionnaires distributed to special education teachers. The sampling technique used in this study was probability sampling with simple random sampling. The sample size was determined based on the Slovin formula with an error margin of 5%, which was 60 special education teachers. Next, qualitative data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation with relevant stakeholders. The data analysis techniques used in the qualitative research stage were (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, and (4) conclusion drawing. The quantitative research results revealed that most of the respondents were women aged 25–34 years, had a bachelor's degree in special education, and had more than five years of teaching experience in positions of honor. Correlation analysis showed a moderate positive relationship (r = 0.502) between the recruitment system and teacher professional development, which contributed 25.2% (R² = 0.252). These findings confirm that a good recruitment system can improve teacher professionalism, which ultimately supports the success of inclusive education. Meanwhile, qualitative results show that the recruitment of special education teachers in Banjarmasin follows regional regulations by involving the education office and inclusive schools. Although a bachelor's degree in special education is preferred, the limited number of graduates requires flexibility in the recruitment process. The main challenges include budget constraints and the lack of qualified teachers, thus requiring supportive policies, increased funding, and collaboration with universities to improve the quantity and quality of teachers. Professional development is carried out through various training programs, but still faces obstacles in the form of budget constraints and the lack of a continuous evaluation system.
