Abstract

This study aims to investigate the presence of a transformation process, dynamics, and conflicting thoughts inside three Islamic Higher Education institutions in Indonesia. Subsequently, an analysis is conducted to examine the ramifications of this transformation and dynamics on the state life of Indonesian citizens. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data were acquired through interviews conducted with actors from three PTKIs (K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan, UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta, and UIN Walisongo Semarang), as well as through observation and documentation studies. The collected data were further analysed through an inductive process using indicators that assess rational and traditional religious perspectives. The findings reveal that the three Islamic Higher Education institutions underwent a transformation from conventional religious beliefs to rational ones. Within this transformation process, dynamics and conflicts of thought inevitably emerged. The findings show that such dynamics not only influence the development of religious education within PTKIs but also shape the broader life of the Indonesian state. In this regard, PTKIs play a strategic role in shaping education policy and social life, particularly by promoting inclusive curricula, fostering tolerance, and strengthening community empowerment in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the achievement of criteria in the implementation of Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile Project (P5) with the theme of Local Wisdom. This study used an evaluation research method applying the Countenance Stake evaluation model, which consists of three stages: Antecedent, Transaction, and Outcomes. The study employed both qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques, with data collected through observation, interviews, document studies, and questionnaires involving 66 respondents. Data analysis utilized descriptive quantitative analysis (percentage scores of achievement for each school in every stage) and qualitative analysis (descriptions of strengths, challenges, and influencing factors). The evaluation of the P5 program based on the Countenance model shows positive results across the three stages. In the Antecedents stage, schools demonstrated high readiness, with average achievements ranging from 85.1% to 86.3%. The Transactions stage showed satisfactory implementation, with achievements between 76.9% and 85.2%. In the Outcomes stage, student performance was fairly good, ranging from 75.2% to 81.5%. The study highlights the importance of management support, teacher training, and robust monitoring and evaluation systems for effective program implementation. Strengthening these aspects is crucial for ensuring the P5 program runs more effectively and equitably across all schools.

Abstract

This study aims to represent the preferences of similarity index in student work on Ethnobiotechnology exploration practices in East Java and its implications in the learning context. A quasi-quantitative approach is applied, presenting the results in a descriptive-interpretive manner. Documentary techniques are used as instruments for data collection from 21 scientific papers produced by prospective science teachers in East Java that discussed Ethnobiotechnology practices. The Turnitin application is used to validate manuscript similarities and maintain academic integrity. Furthermore, Scopus AI is used to analyze research implications, which are then rearticulated using keywords and schematized as a concept map. The findings show that nine articles (42.9%) are categorized as Orange, indicating a high level of similarity, nine articles (42.9%) are categorized as Yellow, indicating a moderate level of similarity, and only three articles (14.2%) are categorized as Green, indicating low similarity and considered more original. This study concludes that students' work preferences in exploring Ethnobiotechnology in East Java tend to have a high to moderate level of similarity. Despite this, the study offers valuable insights into integrating cultural practices with scientific research and lessons, academic ethics, and plagiarism detection. The research has implications for science dissemination in the context of scientific writing ethics and the use of plagiarism detection applications for future science learning development.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between perceived social support from husbands and inter-role conflict among student-mothers, with self-regulation as a moderating variable. This study used a quantitative, non-experimental design with a cross-sectional online survey. Participants were 147 Indonesian student-mothers enrolled in master’s and doctoral programs, all of whom were married, had children, were not employed, and did not live with extended family members. Data were collected using three standardized instruments: the Social Provision Scale (SPS), the School-Family Conflict Scale (SKS), and the Self-Regulation Scale (SRD). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and moderated regression with Hayes’ PROCESS macro. Results showed that higher husband support significantly reduced inter-role conflict. However, self-regulation did not moderate this relationship. The findings emphasize the importance of husbands’ involvement in supporting student-mothers pursuing higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the performance of lecturers teaching the Guitar Ensemble course in the Music Study Program, Satya Wacana Christian University, using the Charlotte Danielson Model. The focus of this study is to identify areas that require improvement to enhance the quality of learning. Adopting an evaluative mixed-methods design, this research applies the Danielson Framework for Teaching, which classifies instructional practice into four domains: planning and preparation, classroom environment, instruction, and professional responsibilities. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, documentation, and questionnaires based on the model’s indicators. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively using percentages, while qualitative data were examined using an interactive model, involving data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. Findings show that overall lecturer performance is categorized as 'good'. The evaluation domains effectively capture important critical aspects such as subject mastery and communication skills. However, several areas require attention: the use of broader academic references, improved classroom management in ensemble practice, and the implementation of more participatory teaching strategies. While lecturers’ professional responsibilities were generally positive, the documentation of teaching journals remains insufficient. It is recommended that lecturers improve lesson planning and adopt interactive approaches such as reflective discussions and collaborative projects. Additionally, higher education institutions should support this process by enhancing facilities and providing ongoing professional development. These efforts are essential to ensure sustainable improvements in the quality of teaching and learning, particularly in music education settings where interaction, creativity, and collaboration are central.
