Abstract

The rapid advancement of robotics technology has significantly enhanced industrial automation, enabling continuous, precise, andefficient operations. This study aims to design and implement a Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) system based on the Mamdanimethod in a robotic arm prototype capable of detecting and classifying object positions automatically. The prototype utilizes anArduino Mega 2560 microcontroller as the main controller and a Pixy2 CMUCam5 vision sensor for object detection. Two maininput parameters are used: Turn (object position) and Area (object distance from the camera). The control outputs are the angularpositions of the base and elbow servos. Experimental results show that the FLC system achieves high accuracy with a mean errorof 0.25% for the base servo and 0.27% for the elbow servo, compared to simulation and manual calculations. Furthermore, thefuzzy-based system demonstrated superior efficiency in detecting object positions (center, left, right) compared to non-fuzzycontrol. These findings indicate that implementing Mamdani Fuzzy Logic significantly improves the precision and responsivenessof robotic arm movement in object detection and manipulation tasks

Abstract

The Pasar Lama Tangerang area is one of the culinary tourism centers and traditional trading hubs that holds significant historical and economic value in Tangerang City. However, the increasing commercial activities and the growing number of visitors have resulted in substantial waste generation that has not been managed optimally. This study aims to analyze waste management practices and perceptions in the Pasar Lama Tangerang area from the perspective of sustainable tourism, based on insights from field actors such as vendors and sanitation workers. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through field observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consist of vendors and sanitation workers in the Pasar Lama area selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that waste management in the Pasar Lama Tangerang area remains conventional and does not fully align with the principles of 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). Limited sanitation facilities, low participation from vendors, and insufficient socialization from the area’s management serve as major obstacles to achieving a clean environment. These findings reflect the actual conditions and perceptions of field actors; therefore, they cannot yet be used as a basis for directly assessing government policies.

Abstract

Outdoor learning has potentials to support children’s motor, social, and self-confidence development, including children with special needs. However, its implementation in inclusive schools remains limited due to the lack of safe and adaptive learning media. This community engagement initiative aimed to develop inclusive outdoor learning media in the form of a mini wall climbing facility at Sekolah Alam Catur Cendikia, Bandung Regency. It also sought to enhance teachers’ capacity to utilize the media effectively in learning activities. The implementation was carried out through four stages including preparation, media construction, socialization and trial use, and evaluation, through a participatory approach involving lecturers, community service (KKN) students, teachers, and school stakeholders. Program evaluation was conducted using user satisfaction surveys, media feasibility assessment forms, observations, and interviews. The results indicated that the developed media was perceived as attractive, inclusive, and beneficial in promoting student engagement, more meaningful learning experiences, and social interaction. Although limitations were identified in terms of additional safety equipment, this program still provides a practical reference for inclusive schools in developing outdoor learning media to optimize learning environments and support the contextual implementation of activity-based outdoor learning.

Abstract

Data literacy has become an essential competency for students in the digital era, particularly at the secondary education level where foundational numeracy skills are developed. Spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel offers an accessible platform for integrating mathematical concepts with practical data analysis and visualization. This study aims to quantitatively evaluate the effectiveness of a spreadsheet-based instructional intervention in improving high school students’ data literacy skills. A quasi-experimental one-group pre-test–post-test design was employed involving 12 senior high school students from SMAS Sebelas Maret, Bandung. The instructional intervention consisted of three integrated modules: Introduction to Excel and Data Literacy, Data Analysis and Logical Functions, and Data Visualization. Students’ competencies were assessed before and after the intervention using a structured test aligned with these modules. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired-sample t-tests, and effect size estimation (Cohen’s d). The results indicate a statistically significant improvement in overall performance from pre-test to post-test (p < 0.05), accompanied by a large effect size (d = -0.96), demonstrating substantial practical impact. The strongest learning gains were observed in data visualization skills, while data analysis and logical functions showed more moderate improvement. These findings suggest that spreadsheet-based instruction is an effective approach for enhancing data literacy and applied numeracy skills among high school students.

Abstract

The Kemang Batik Association in Bogor Regency is a community-based creative industry with significant cultural and economic potential, however, its sustainability is constrained by untreated batik wastewater, weak financial management, and limited marketing capacity. Batik production activities generate colored liquid waste that is often discharged directly into the environment, posing pollution risks. In addition, the absence of formal cooperative institutions and reliance on conventional marketing methods hinder business growth and income stability among artisans. This community service program aimed to empower the Kemang Batik Association through an integrated approach encompassing environmentally friendly technology, institutional strengthening, and digital marketing. A portable electrocoagulation-based wastewater treatment installation (IPAL) namely Hydrobex, with a capacity of 100 liters per day was implemented to reduce pollutant loads in batik effluent. Furthermore, a Batik Cooperative was established to improve financial governance, collective management, and access to capital. Digital marketing platforms utilizing social media, online marketplaces and batik game based marketing (GARLaTik) were developed to expand market reach and enhance product visibility. The program was conducted through participatory training, technology transfer, mentoring, and continuous evaluation involving academics, students, and community members. The results indicate improved environmental awareness, strengthened organizational capacity, and increased adoption of digital marketing practices. This integrated empowerment model supports sustainable community development, promotes a green economy, and contributes to the achievement of relevant Sustainable Development Goals.

Abstract

The implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) in Islamic educational institutions is a strategic effort to improve the quality of graduates relevant to current needs. However, the adoption of this policy still faces various challenges, particularly in terms of institutional readiness, implementation understanding, and evaluation systems that support an outcomes-based approach. This study used a qualitative approach with a library research method that focused on analyzing Outcome-Based Education policies in Islamic educational institutions. The analysis used a content analysis method. The results show that although learning outcomes have been formulated in curriculum documents, the application of OBE principles in learning and evaluation is still not optimal. This is due to the lack of a comprehensively integrated support system, both in terms of human resources and internal policies. This study concludes that the successful implementation of OBE requires a comprehensive and collaborative institutional approach. These findings are expected to form the basis for formulating Islamic education policies that are more adaptive to the demands of outcomes-based learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the structural reform of economic institutions at the village level, with Sindangpakuon Village serving as the primary case study. This is done with the intention of reducing poverty. Even though Indonesia has undergone a significant amount of decentralisation, a great number of rural areas continue to be trapped in cycles of economic dependence. As a result of the widespread presence of exploitative informal lending, which is commonly referred to as "Bank Emok" in the community, the situation has become drastically worse. Within the framework of the "Lentera Desa" community service framework, this study utilised a Business Process Reengineering (BPR) approach to conduct an analysis of the inefficiencies that are currently being experienced by Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) and Village Cooperatives (KOPDes). In order to compete with informal lenders, the intervention built a distribution structure known as "Hub and Spoke" as well as computerised loan procedures. Sindangpakuon is in high demand from industrial supply chains; yet, the findings reveal that impediments impeding capital accumulation stem from weak institutional synergy and onerous administrative procedures. This is despite the fact that Sindangpakuon is in widespread demand. The purpose of this article is to offer an integrated ecosystem in which the cooperative serves as the retail and financial nexus, bringing together products from BUMDes and local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). It is suggested that there is an interrelated ecology. It should come as no surprise that strategic alignment with the national plan of "Koperasi Desa Merah Putih" provides the essential regulatory and financial leverage in order to achieve long-term independence. Based on the findings, it appears that increasing openness through the use of digital dashboards and lowering the barriers to transaction can greatly increase community participation in villages that are located in close proximity to industrial areas. This provides a model that can be replicated in order to achieve economic autonomy in those areas that are rural.
