Abstract

The fisheries sector in Lhokseumawe City has an essential role in the regional economy, but the limited allocation of fish seed assistance requires an efficient and objective decision-making system (SPK). This research applies the Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) method to prioritize groups of fish seed aid recipients. COPRAS was chosen because it can handle quantitative and qualitative criteria and produce a clear ranking of alternatives. The system evaluates criteria such as pond area, number of members, pond condition, and group age. The results showed that the Tani Mandiri group had the highest utility value = 1, while Tani Maju Berkah obtained the lowest value = 0.655. The COPRAS method effectively provided accurate and transparent recommendations in determining beneficiaries. Implementing this system is expected to help the Lhokseumawe City Marine, Fisheries, Agriculture, and Food Service Office allocate fairer and more targeted assistance, as well as increase the fisheries sector's productivity in the area. This research also contributes to developing technology-based decision-making systems to support government policies.

Abstract

The attendance system is an essential element in the academic environment to ensure lecturer attendance in the lecture process. However, the manual attendance method still has various weaknesses, such as the potential for data manipulation and inefficiency in recording attendance. To overcome these problems, this research designs and implements an Internet of Things (IoT)-based lecturer attendance system using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) sensors integrated with the Telegram application. The research method includes hardware design with ESP32 microcontroller, ESP32-CAM, RFID sensor, and HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor. This system works by detecting lecturer attendance through RFID cards confirmed by ESP32, taking pictures with ESP32-CAM, and sending automatic notifications via the Telegram bot. Lecturer attendance data is then stored in a web-based database to facilitate the monitoring and evaluation. The test results show that the developed system can detect and record lecturer attendance accurately, with the response speed of the RFID sensor in reading cards ranging from 1-5 cm. The ultrasonic sensor also successfully detects objects accurately within a predetermined distance range. Lecturer attendance notifications sent via Telegram allow administrators to conduct real-time monitoring. With this IoT-based attendance system, the attendance recording process becomes more efficient and transparent and can reduce the risk of data manipulation. Further development can be done by adding data encryption and biometric authentication features to improve system security.

Abstract

Beginning with ovulation and continuing through conception, nidation, implantation, and embryonic growth in the uterus, pregnancy is an ongoing process. Adapting mentally and physically to the effects of pregnancy hormones and the increased mechanical pressure from the growing uterus and other tissues is essential during pregnancy. The symptoms of morning sickness and vomiting, known as emesis gravidarum, typically manifest in the first trimester of pregnancy. Symptoms usually begin around six weeks following the last day of menstruation and continue for around ten weeks. However, they can sometimes extend into the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. This study, therefore, seeks to establish whether aromatherapy helps pregnant women who suffer from nausea and vomiting all through their nine months of gestation. The novelty of the method used in this study is that it tests a group of pregnant women both before and after the application of lemon aromatherapy. Researchers found that first-trimester pregnant women who used lemon aromatherapy had less anxiety and fewer symptoms of emesis gravidarum. Most people who tried the lemon acupressure said it helped them relax, even if the results of the statistical tests did not reveal a substantial reduction in anxiety. The limbic system, which controls our reactions to stress and other emotions, is activated by lemon aromatherapy via the olfactory pathway. Lemon essential oil contains bioactive components like citral and limonene, which have anxiolytic effects and can alleviate vomiting and nausea. This study aimed to find out whether aromatherapy helped pregnant women with emesis gravidarum feel less anxious. A quasi-experimental approach was employed with pre- and post-tests administered to one group. Findings from the study The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test yielded a p-value of less than 0.025. It can be concluded that aromatherapy with lemon did not alleviate morning sickness anxiety in first-trimester pregnant ladies.
