Abstract

This community service initiative in Batuan Village, Gianyar, exemplifies a collaborative effort between Institut Pariwisata dan Bisnis Internasional (IPB Internasional) and the local community. The well-structured program aimed to empower Batuan Village residents by providing training to become proficient guides, enhancing the tourism experience. Divided into planning, implementation, and evaluation stages, the initiative involved a participatory approach, encouraging active engagement and practical learning. Through thoughtful site selection, material preparation, and live practice sessions, participants gained confidence and skills. The emphasis on impactful interpretation, and incorporating human emotions into narratives, elevated the quality of presentations. The success of the initiative is attributed to the support of IPB Internasional, the student organization, the Village of Batuan, and the enthusiastic local participants, showcasing the positive outcomes achievable through collaborative, community-driven initiatives for sustainable cultural heritage and tourism development.

Abstract

The Community Partnership Program (PKM) activities are carried out in Bantaeng Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The partners in this PKM activity are the teachers from the Mathematics Subject Teachers' Meeting (MGMP) at junior high schools (SMP) in Bantaeng Regency. However, in its implementation, in addition to SMP teachers, it is also attended by elementary school (SD), high school (SMA), and vocational high school (SMK) teachers. Among the objectives of this program are a) Socializing open-source software LibreOffice as an alternative to licensed Microsoft Office software; b) Providing knowledge to partners about the installation of LibreOffice software and the basics of using LibreOffice Writer. Some of the issues faced by the partners include a) knowledge about open-source software; b) Installation and basics of using LibreOffice Writer. This socialization and training are carried out for a group of partners, consisting of approximately 11 people, through online sessions via Zoom meetings. The expected outcomes are an understanding of the socialization materials, the installation of the application, and the basics of using the LibreOffice Writer application.

Abstract

Pesantren Hisbul Wathan Muhammadiyah is one of the pesantren in the hills located in Belapuranga Gowa Regency. who face the challenge of limited access to clean water, uses rainwater and water from nearby rivers because the clean water supply has not been obtained from PDAM. The Community Service method used includes identification of needs, planning and design of water tanks, and clean water installations in accordance with the needs. The implementation phase involves the active participation until the construction is completed, training and counseling on the management and maintenance of facilities are carried out. The benefits of this service have succeeded in increasing access to clean water and the quality of life through the construction of water tanks and clean water installations, as well as training held, the community has become more independent in managing and utilizing groundwater sources properly and sustainably and can be adopted surrounding.

Abstract

Abstract The community service program implemented in Katonsari Village, Demak Subdistrict, Demak Regency, aims to improve population administration orderliness through the application of an expert system utilizing forward chaining method. The stages of the service activity include collecting primary data through field surveys and in-depth interviews with the community and related agencies to understand the dynamics and challenges in population administration. Based on the analysis of collected needs, an expert system was developed as an information technology solution to support efficiency and accuracy in population data management. This program also emphasizes on the training of system implementation provided to the community and village administrative officers to ensure effective transfer of knowledge and skills. The evaluation of the system's success and effectiveness is conducted by measuring the improvement in population administration quality and user satisfaction of the system. Abstrak Program pengabdian masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di Desa Katonsari, Kecamatan Demak, Kabupaten Demak ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan tertib administrasi kependudukan dengan penerapan sistem pakar yang memanfaatkan metode forward chaining. Tahapan kegiatan pengabdian meliputi pengumpulan data primer melalui survei lapangan dan wawancara mendalam dengan masyarakat dan instansi terkait untuk memahami dinamika dan tantangan dalam administrasi kependudukan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kebutuhan yang terkumpul, dikembangkan sistem pakar sebagai solusi teknologi informasi yang dapat mendukung efisiensi dan akurasi dalam pengelolaan data kependudukan. Program ini juga menekankan pada pelatihan implementasi sistem yang diberikan kepada masyarakat dan petugas administrasi desa untuk memastikan transfer pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang efektif. Evaluasi keberhasilan dan efektivitas sistem dilakukan dengan mengukur peningkatan kualitas administrasi kependudukan dan kepuasan pengguna sistem.

Abstract

The aim of this community service is to increase knowledge and measure children's abilities in understanding Islamic teachings through literacy. The implementation of PkM is located in the Kamilah housing complex, inhabited by around 200 people, to be precise, the location is in Bojong Sari District, Depok City. This PkM activity is in the form of a competition which is attended by 50 children aged 5 to 10 years. The implementation method consists of 3 steps, the first is the preparation stage by collecting data on the number of participants and making an activity schedule. The second stage is the implementation where participants take part in the competition according to those selected based on previous filling in for willingness. Next, assess the work results of the participants based on the assessment criteria agreed upon by the committee team. The results obtained in this community service are that children are able to know the procedures and rules in Islamic religious teachings such as those related to adab, tajwid and lafaz and fhasahah. Abstract

Home industry RIA MANDIRI is an independent business unit that started its business in 2014 in the Marisa sub-district, Sipatana village, which is engaged in the production of building materials with specifications for Bricks, Roster and Paving, which was initially started to employ teenagers and local fathers. Production problems that occur due to the absence of loster and paving mold forms which are characteristic of RIA MANDIRI's home industry due to a lack of knowledge of modifications in paving and loster design models. the texture of the results is not appropriate, the low level of understanding of members in the group in producing bricks, paving and losters that comply with building material structure standards, and the absence of skilled workers who have special competence in building materials so that the smooth texture and design has its own uniqueness. The aim of PKM This is to increase the development of a creative and independent industry in terms of empowering a productive industry, Implementation Methods in the field of production holding workshops, mentoring, equipment maintenance, the implementation of the Ria Mandiri Home Industry starts with improving the Production Process, updating the production system tools. The servant believes this will be able to changing the production value and marketing volume of the Ria Mandiri Home Industry, measuring the level of progress by carrying out scheduled evaluations and monitoring, providing assistance in the form of laptops for model design tools and paving brick production workshops that comply with construction standards, assisting in the process of checking sand raw materials, providing skills guidance use and maintenance of tools. The result of the application of this service science and technology is an increase in understanding, changes and skills of partners in the brick paving process which is more productive, innovative and also able to have unique model results. . Success measurement was 78%. The next field of activity is in the field of green production

Abstract

Increasing age and increasing prevalence of non-communicable diseases are the main factors causing cognitive function decline, Cognitive function decline will have an impact on decreasing daily social activities in the elderly which will become a quality of life problem and have an impact on financing family maintenance, community and government. This situation can be anticipated with a therapy that can improve cognitive function, one of which is coloring therapy. This therapy is proven to have effectiveness in improving the cognitive function of the elderly. This service was carried out at the Mandalika Social Institution NTB involving 18 elderly people. Coloring therapy was carried out for two days with 4 stages, starting from preparing the room, preparing participants, implementing therapy and evaluation. It was found that the result of a picture of cognitive function after coloring therapy was that 56% of the elderly did not have cognitive impairment. From the results of this service, it is hoped that the NTB Mandalika elderly social institution can apply coloring therapy as a treatment in improving the cognitive function of the elderly and doing other therapies in groups to improve the welfare of the elderly

Abstract

Natural disaster that have occurred in several regions in Indonesia in recent years have increased public attention to disasters. In addition in disaster caused by endogenous energy, disaster in Indonesia are also caused by exogenous forces such as disasters related to hydrometeorological conditions, including tornadoes, drought, floods, and fires. Munggur Villaged in Andong District Boyolali Regency has the potential for drought, tornado, and fire disasters. However, information regarding these disasters is minimal received, so it is necessary to increase understanding of the concept of disaster and disaster mitigation to support disaster risk reduction. The aim of this activity was to increase the understanding about the concept of disaster and disaster mitigation. The method of implementation was by conducting disaster and mitigation socialization to residents of Munggur Village. Based on the result of this community service implementation, it was found that there was an increase in understanding of the concept of disaster and disaster mitigation. However, Further socialization or training is needed to strengthen the understanding and skills of the residents.

Abstract

Abstract The implementation of Early Detection Stimulation, Growth and Development Intervention in Children is currently being strengthened through the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Regulation Number 25 of 2014 concerning Child Health Efforts and the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Regulation Number 66 of 2014 which states that Monitoring Children's Growth and Development through Early Intervention Detection Stimulation of Growth and Development is part of health services. carried out on babies, toddlers and pre-school children aimed at improving the continuity and quality of life of children. The method used in this activity of assisting in measuring growth and development for monitoring the nutritional status and development of toddlers is the individual approach method. This method emphasizes the process of empowering human resources to improve services, namely monitoring the growth and development of toddlers. Individual empowerment is expected to build awareness of critical thinking, positive and independent behavioral changes based on universal human values. The community service partner is PAUD Dian Persada which is located in Samuti Krueng Village, Gandapura District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province. Anthropometric measurement assistance was provided to Dian Persada PAUD Teachers, totaling 6 people, for approximately 2 (two) months, namely from July to August 2023. There was an increase in participants' knowledge regarding the measurement and growth of toddlers, which was marked by an increase in the average pre and post test was 4.17. There was an increase in participants' skills in measuring children's weight (BB), height (TB) and head circumference (LK). There was an increase in participants' skills in determining the nutritional status and development of toddlers based on the Pre-Developmental Screening Questionnaire (KPSP).

Abstract

Matematika ialah mata pelajaran di Sekolah Dasar memberikan bekal kepada siswa untuk memiliki cara penyelesaian masalah berbeda dari kebanyakan orang sehingga kepercayaan diri terbangun sejak dini. Tangram bisa dipakai untuk meningkatkan cara berpikir matematis. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) dilakukan di SD Kristen Kalam Kudus Merauke dengan dosen 8 orang, 32 siswa di kelas I dan didampingi oleh wali kelas serta kepala sekolah. Pelaksanaan PKM bertujuan membiasakan siswa berkolaborasi dalam menyelesaikan masalah serta melihat kemmapuan berpikir kreatif dalam membuat berbagai bentuk berdasar bangun penyusun tangram. Metode yang dilaksanakan yakni pelatihan pembuatan tangram berbantu bangun datar. Hasil PKM untuk siswa yakni terlihat kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa untuk membuat bentuk baru sesuai dengan kreasi, percaya diri saat mengemukakan pendapat ketika berdiskusi dalam kelompok menyelesaikan masalah pembuatan tangram dan memperlihatkan hasil diskusi dengan yakin. Selanjutnya, hasil yang didapat dari tim pelaksana PKM adalah membiasakan siswa untuk bekerjasama, menyederhanakan bahasa saat menjelaskan supaya bisa dimengerti siswa dengan baik lalu relasi bertambah.
