Abstract

This research was conducted based on the results of preliminary observations carried out in class IV GMIM 1 Tomohon Elementary School where based on observations made on social studies learning it was found that the quality of social studies learning was not optimal, because the teacher was less skilled and creative in presenting the material, the teacher only used the lecture method, was rote and the use of props was less attractive to students so that it caused boredom and students were less passionate about learning and had an impact on the achievement of low student learning outcomes. This can be seen from 30 students, only 6 students got high scores and 24 students got poor scores. This study aims to improve social studies learning outcomes through the application of the Group Investigation learning model for fourth grade students of GMIM 1 Tomohon Elementary School. The method used in this research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) design that refers to the Kemmis and Mc. Taggrat model design which consists of 4 stages namely planning, action, observation, and reflection carried out in two cycles. In the implementation of cycle I student learning outcomes were 64.17% and in cycle II increased to 86%. Thus it can be concluded that the Application of the Group Investigation Model can Improve Social Studies Learning Outcomes of Grade IV Students of GMIM 1 Tomohon Elementary School, which initially in cycle I students did not understand the subject matter and after students were given understanding and evaluation, there was a change in satisfactory learning outcomes in cycle II. Therefore, it is suggested that the fourth grade teacher of GMIM 1 Tomohon Elementary School can use the Group Investigation Learning model because it can improve social studies learning outcomes.

Abstract

Based on the results of preliminary observations made by researchers at Santo Joseph Saronsong Catholic Elementary School in learning Indonesian in class V, it was found that learning Indonesian is still centered on old methods such as the lecture method, which is still not very effective. This is evident from the results of the Indonesian language scores of grade V students of St. Joseph Saronsong Catholic Elementary School with a total of 11 students, only 4 people managed to achieve learning completeness and 7 others did not complete, which means that only 36.4% got a score of 70 and above, while 63.6% got a score below 70. The Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) is classically considered complete if it reaches 80% of the total number of students. Based on the background previously described, the problem formulations in this study are: "How is the application of the talking stick learning model to improve student learning outcomes in Indonesian language subjects on reading material to conclude stories in class V of St. Joseph Sarongsong Catholic Elementary School"? This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in Indonesian language subjects on reading material to conclude stories through the application of the talking stick learning model in class V of St. Joseph Saronsong Catholic Elementary School. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the use of the Talking Stick learning model can improve student learning outcomes, with the results achieved in the first cycle being 53.18% and experiencing a significant increase in cycle II which is 81.81%. This means that the application of Talking learning to improve learning outcomes in fifth grade students of St. Josept Catholic Elementary School is said to be successful and the Talking Stick learning model can involve student activeness so that learning is fun and student learning outcomes increase. Based on the above conclusions, researchers put forward the following suggestions: Teachers are expected to apply the talking stick learning model so that learning is fun so that student learning outcomes increase and students can follow the learning process and be actively involved so that learning outcomes increase.

Abstract

One of the learning objectives in Civics is to form an attitude of discipline. So, through the use of learning models in Civics subjects it is expected to develop the character of students. The purposes of this research were 1) to describe and find out the implementation of learning using the reflective pedagogical paradigm model (PPR) in Civics learning for Grade III students at Koli Public Elementary School in an effort to improve student discipline and 2) to improve and find out the increase in disciplinary attitudes in Civics learning for class students III SD Negeri Koli uses the PPR learning model. The research conducted is Classroom Action Research (CAR) to improve students' disciplinary attitudes towards the rules that apply in society. The research was conducted for 2 cycles each cycle through the stages of planning, action, observation and reflection. The data collection technique used as a guide is an attitude scale questionnaire. The results of the research conducted on the use of the reflective pedagogical paradigm learning model in Civics teaching and learning activities in class III SD Negeri Koli can improve student discipline. The increase in students' disciplinary attitudes can be seen from the results of the average disciplinary attitude obtained in the initial conditions of 64.675, in cycle 1 of 77.825, and cycle 2 of 82.85. The percentage of students who have minimal discipline at the initial condition is 52.50%, cycle 1 is 95%, and cycle 2 is 95%.

Abstract

The background of this research is the low learning motivation of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 66 Kota Ternate. The research aims to find out (1) how to increase social studies learning motivation using the Quantum teaching learning method; (2) can the use of the Quantum teaching learning method increase motivation in social studies subjects as a whole in class IV A students at SD Negeri 66 Kota Ternate in the 2022/2023 academic year. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this study were 25 students in class IV of SD Negeri 66 Kota Ternate in the 2022/2023 academic year. The object of this research is to increase students' learning motivation in social studies subject. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires, motivational observation sheets. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results showed that: (1) efforts to increase social studies motivation and achievement using the Quantum Teaching Learning method can be carried out with the Quantum Teaching Learning learning design, namely grow, experience, name, demonstrate, repeat, celebrate; (2) the application of the Quantum Teaching Learning method can increase motivation. This can be seen from the initial condition of the student motivation score of 52.55 (very less) the number of students who have a minimum good motivation is 3 students with a percentage of 12%. After the action was taken in cycle I it increased to 78.11 (good) then with the action in cycle II it increased to 87.15 (very good) the number of students who had a minimum good motivation was 25 students with a percentage of 100%; so that it can be concluded that the use of the Quantum teaching learning method can increase learning motivation in social studies learning in class IV SD Negeri 66 Kota Ternate.

Abstract

The classroom learning model's criteria must use one or a combination of case-solving learning methods (case method or project-based group learning (team-based project). Based on the Higher Education Key Performance Indicator (IKU) number seven, an application example is needed to avoid causing many perceptions. This research is expected to answer lecturers' needs for examples of the application of team-based projects and case methods. The objectives are: 1) analyze the needs of teaching video media by applying team-based project learning models and case methods, 2) design teaching video media by applying team-based project learning models and case methods, 3) Find out the level of validity and practicality of teaching video media by applying team-based project learning models and case methods. This research uses Thiagarajan 4D model development research with 4D stages adapted into 3D through the define, design, development stages. This research was conducted in the Educational Technology Study Program FIP UNM, the research subjects of seven lecturer. Data collection used interview guidelines, needs identification questionnaires, media expert validation questionnaires, content/material experts, and trial questionnaires. Data analysis methods consist of qualitative descriptive analysis and descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that: 1) the development of teaching videos by applying the case-solving learning model (case method or project-based group learning (team-based project) is in the category of very needed. 2) product design based on content / material validation in the very good category, media validation in the very good category, trial results are in the very good category. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the influence of the use of Science Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on Guided Inquiry integrated Islamic values ​​on cognitive learning outcomes at MTs Negeri 1 East Halmahera. This type of research uses experimental research (pseudo) which follows the form of a Non-equivalent Control Group Design Pretest and posttest. The sample selection used a purposive sampling technique. The research was carried out in 2 classes, namely the experimental class using guided inquiry-based science worksheets integrated with Islamic values ​​and the control class, namely the guided inquiry model. The research instrument uses an essay test question assessment sheet. Data analysis used parametric tests and hypothesis testing using the Anacova test in the SPSS-assisted Tests of Between-Subjects Effects. The results showed that there was an effect of the use of Science Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on Guided Inquiry integrated with Islamic values ​​on cognitive learning outcomes at MTs Negeri 1 Halmahera Timur with a significant level of 0.23.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial learning requires the right media so that the expected results increase. This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning on entrepreneurial learning outcomes, and to determine the effect of the YouTube platform on entrepreneurial learning outcomes and to determine the effect of cooperative learning and the YouTube platform together on entrepreneurial learning outcomes. The method used is a quantitative method, using normality and homogeneity tests. Respondents were 30 students in class X SMA Alkhlas Bekasi High School, West Java. Retrieval of data by using interviews and filling out questionnaires on students. The results of the research data are processed normally and homogeneously. Cooperative learning variables and the you tube platform have an effect on entrepreneurship learning outcomes by 52.8%. Entrepreneurial learning requires practice and sharpness of expertise for students before graduating.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to provide information and education and training to teachers, related to multidimensional item measurement for AKM on students' Literacy and Numeracy abilities. An item that is multidimensional, if measured using unidimensional it will cause errors in measurement. This research is an experimental research using software. The data used is empirical data, namely the value of student report cards. Data collection was carried out in January 2023. Data was obtained from the Ternate City Education Office in the field that handles Kindergarten and Elementary Schools regarding the use of assessment of student learning outcomes. The population used is all students of SDN in Ternate City. Of all the 29 elementary schools which have implemented this independent curriculum, the sample used was 1000 students which was carried out by random sampling. Data collection was carried out by observation, tests, and interviews with students and teachers The minimum value is 0.033 and the maximum value is 0.12. It is also shown that the length of the lower whisker and the upper whisker are the same. It is also shown that the length of the lower whisker and the upper whisker are not the same. This means that using a sample size of 1000 and a test length of 40, the multidimensional model is better than the unidimensional model because the whisker length in the multidimensional model is smaller than the unidimensional model. That is, the shorter the whisker, the smaller the variance or the more precise the data. The estimation results of the multidimensional test parameters have a minimum score of 0.464 in dimension one and a maximum score of 1.952, a minimum score in dimension two of 0.518 and a maximum score of 1.957. For the overall measure of difficulty (DIFF) for the first and second dimensions, both unidimensional and multidimensional, the mean > SD is obtained. This shows that the distribution of variations in test parameters and ability parameters is smaller so that it can be said that the estimation of multidimensional test items at a sample size of 1000 and a test length of 40 has a smaller level of deviation

Abstract

The aims of this research are a) to improve students' mathematical critical thinking skills after applying problem-based learning models and conventional learning models; b) How are students' attitudes towards problem-based learning; c) To obtain an overview of student activities during the problem-based learning process. This study used the pretest-posttest design experimental method. The research subjects were class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Rancakalong, with two classes as the sample. The research instrument used was a description test of mathematical critical thinking skills, an attitude scale and an observation sheet. The results showed that: (1) the students' mathematical critical thinking skills who received problem-based learning were better than students who received conventional learning; (2) most students show a positive attitude towards mathematics and problem-based learning ; 3) during the learning process students are very active, feel happy, help each other give opinions and solve problems or assignments given in the problem-based learning model.

Abstract

In the current era of technology, almost all human activities require the help of sophisticated devices that can easily assist their activities. This certainly implies to educators and prospective educators to be able to apply ways of learning with the use of the latest technology. That is, educators or prospective educators must be able and understand technology in order to carry out their duties properly in accordance with the applicable curriculum. Based on the results of our research, the policy of Blended learning using Google Classroom at STKIP Kie Raha has not run optimally. This is because there is still a lack of knowledge of lecturers and students about the Blended learning model using Google Classroom. In addition, another problem is that the availability of learning information facilities at STKIP Kie Raha is not adequate. Generally, the Blended learning policy at STKIP Kie Raha still uses zoom, the collection of student assignments through WhatsApp social media. One of the solutions that can be used today by educators in changing the paradigm of teacher centered learning to student centered, namely first; Blended Learning, is a learning approach that integrates traditional face-to-face learning and distance learning using virtual resources and online learning with a variety of communication options that can be used by lecturers and students. Blended learning can be concluded that blended learning is a learning that combines or combines face-to-face learning (face to face) with ICT media, such as computers (online and offline), multimedia, virtual classes, the internet and so on.
