Abstract

Ternate City is a spice city located in North Maluku Province, where geographically the land area of ​​Ternate City is 5,795.40 Km2 which has 7 sub-districts. One of the sub-districts in Ternate City is Pulau Ternate Sub-district with an area of ​​37.24 Km2, Pulau Ternate Sub-district has a population of 8,665 people in 2022 and 8,927 people in 2023. The data shows that the population of Pulau Ternate Sub-district has increased. In addition, with increasing population growth every year and the need for water continues to increase. The imbalance between the amount of clean water and the population in Pulau Ternate Sub-district can result in a lack of water supply for the community, because the availability of clean water sources is limited while population growth continues to increase. This study aims to analyze population growth projections, analyze the calculation of clean water needs, and the availability of clean water in order to be able to serve the community for the next 5 years. The data analysis used in this study included population estimation methods, arithmetic, geometric, and exponential methods. Based on existing data from the Ternate City Water Company (PDAM), the clean water provider in Pulau Ternate District, the current installed capacity is 34.0 L/second, while the planned clean water demand until 2028 is 9.3 L/second. The calculation results indicate a surplus of 24.7 L/second. Therefore, it can be concluded that the current clean water supply is sufficient to meet the clean water needs of the people of Pulau Ternate District until 2028.

Abstract

This study analyzes the Budget Plan (RAB) calculations for farm road construction in Gurabati Village by comparing flexible pavement and rigid pavement. The methods used include work volume calculations and unit price analysis (AHSP) using Microsoft Excel. The results indicate that the construction cost of flexible pavement is Rp 1,340,350,000, while that of rigid pavement is Rp 1,891,450,000. Based on the analysis of construction costs and long-term maintenance, flexible pavement is more economical to implement. This research can serve as a reference for efficient and tailored farm road construction planning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the off-street parking capacity and parking usage patterns at Goto Sarimalaha Port, Tidore Kepulauan City. As one of the main activity hubs for the local community, the port requires adequate parking facilities to accommodate vehicles during peak hours. The research employs a descriptive method, with data collected through field surveys, direct observations, and recording the number of vehicles entering and exiting the parking area at 15-minute intervals. The analysis includes parking accumulation, parking volume, parking turnover, parking index, parking duration, and parking space requirements. The results of the study show that the highest parking accumulation occurred on Thursday, 21 August 2025, reaching 85 vehicles, indicating that this day represents the peak usage period of the parking area. The parking index on several observation days also exceeded the available parking capacity, indicating that the current facilities are not yet sufficient to meet actual demand. Additionally, parking usage patterns tended to increase during ship arrival and departure times, causing significant accumulation spikes at certain intervals. Based on these findings, it is necessary to reorganize the parking layout, increase capacity, and improve vehicle circulation management to enhance the effectiveness and convenience of parking services at Goto Sarimalaha Port.

Abstract

Computational Thinking (CT) telah menjadi kompetensi esensial dalam pendidikan abad ke-21, termasuk pada jenjang Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD). Namun, implementasinya sering terhambat oleh miskonsepsi guru mengenai batasan konseptual antara aktivitas coding dan pengembangan logika berpikir. Penelitian ini bertujuan memetakan tingkat pemahaman dan miskonsepsi guru PAUD terhadap CT menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan instrumen Two-Tier Diagnostic Test. Sebanyak 50 guru PAUD di Kota Makassar berpartisipasi sebagai responden. Analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa miskonsepsi menjadi kategori dominan (55%), disusul pemahaman ilmiah (35%) dan ketidaktahuan konsep (20%). Pada empat domain kunci CT—Definisi CT, Implementasi CT, Algoritma, dan Dekomposisi—terdapat kesenjangan signifikan antara jawaban benar Tier 1 dan alasan benar Tier 2. Temuan mengindikasikan bias digitalisasi yang kuat, di mana guru memaknai CT sebagai aktivitas berbasis teknologi alih-alih proses berpikir kognitif. Pola ini mengonfirmasi bahwa pemahaman guru masih bersifat surface knowledge dan dipengaruhi oleh pengalaman pelatihan yang bersifat teknis. Penelitian ini menegaskan perlunya rekonseptualisasi CT bagi guru PAUD serta pengembangan pelatihan berbasis pendekatan unplugged untuk mengatasi miskonsepsi yang bersifat sistemik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pedagogis, hambatan instruksional, serta spesifikasi media komik edukasi yang relevan untuk pembelajaran mitigasi bencana pada anak usia dini di Kota Makassar. Menggunakan desain Mixed Methods dengan strategi Exploratory Sequential, penelitian ini menggabungkan data dari angket, wawancara mendalam, FGD, dan observasi partisipatif pada guru PAUD, kepala sekolah, serta ahli kebencanaan BPBD. Temuan menunjukkan adanya implementation gap antara tingginya kesadaran guru terhadap urgensi mitigasi bencana dan rendahnya frekuensi implementasi pembelajaran di kelas. Hambatan utama bersifat pedagogis dan teknis, terutama kesulitan dalam memvisualisasikan konsep abstrak “bencana” bagi anak pra-operasional. Hasil analisis menegaskan perlunya media kontekstual yang merepresentasikan lingkungan lokal Makassar—seperti lorong sempit, rumah berdempetan, banjir teras, dan angin kencang di kawasan pesisir—agar anak dapat membangun mental mapping yang tepat terhadap risiko bencana. Guru menunjukkan preferensi kuat terhadap format Big Book, ilustrasi semi-realis berwarna cerah, serta integrasi QR Code sebagai fitur multisensori. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa media komik edukasi berbasis konteks lokal berpotensi meningkatkan pemahaman, retensi memori, dan kesiapsiagaan anak, serta menawarkan kerangka pengembangan media yang dapat direplikasi di wilayah rawan bencana lainnya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how the snowball tossing learning model affects students' learning results in Khairun University's biology education study program. This study's methodology is quantitative, pre-experimental, and uses a single class as the experimental class. The t test and the one group pretest-posttest design are utilized for data analysis. According to the research findings, the mean value was -2.4250, the standard deviation was 11.50229, and the posttest average value following the implementation of the snowball tossing learning model was 74.75, which fell into the medium range. The t value is -9,428, the df value is 19, the mean error is 2,571, and the Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000. Ha is approved because the t test results show that t count > t table. This indicates that the student learning outcomes scores on the pretest and posttest differ. These findings suggest that the snowball tossing learning strategy can enhance student learning outcomes in Khairun University's biology education study program..

Abstract

Tidore is one of the central nutmeg production areas in North Maluku. According to data from the North Maluku Agriculture and Food Security Service in 2005, nutmeg plantations are distributed across every regency and city within North Maluku Province, covering a significant area of ​​750–3,200 ha. This study aims to determine the phylogenetic relationships of local nutmeg (Myristica fragans) varieties on Tidore Island based on morphological characteristics. This research is descriptive in nature, meaning it aims to describe, explain, and answer questions about phenomena and events. Morphological markers are used as the basis for phylogenetic plant identification. Phylogenetics is the study of how organisms are related to each other based on their last common ancestor. Phylogenetic relationships begin with the creation of a matrix that determines the character status of each marker for each sample. The results of this analysis can then be presented in matrix form and illustrated in a phylogenetic tree. The results of this study indicate that there are 17 local varieties of nutmeg in Tidore, the kinship of nutmeg varieties in Tidore is divided into six main clusters, namely 1) varieties 9 and 16 (Gurabati forest nutmeg and Gurabunga forest nutmeg) with an index of 93.33%. 2) varieties 12 and 17 (Sirongo forest nutmeg and Fattua Gurabati nutmeg) with an index of 93.02% 3) varieties 6 and 10 (Fattua Gurabati nutmeg and Dowora forest nutmeg) with an index of 89.79% 4) varieties 11 and 13 (Banda Dowora nutmeg and Fattua Dowora nutmeg) with an index of 85% 5) varieties 1 and 8 (Banda Jaya nutmeg and Banda Gurabati nutmeg with an index of 87.80% 6) varieties 2 and 15 (Tidore 1 Jaya nutmeg and Tidore 1 Gurabunga nutmeg) with an index of 70.96%

Abstract

One of the physical development programs implemented in Mafututu Village in the 2024 Fiscal Year is the Footpath Construction Project. This project is funded through the Mafututu Village Budget Implementation Document (DPA) as part of efforts to improve accessibility and mobility for communities in coastal areas. Specifically, this project was entrusted to the implementing contractor CV. Mafututu Indah with a total contract value of IDR 119,895,457.29 (One Hundred Nineteen Million Eight Hundred Ninety-Five Thousand Four Hundred Fifty-Seven Rupiah Twenty-Nine Sen). In accordance with the Work Agreement Letter (SPK), the project implementation period is set at ninety (90) calendar days, starting from the issuance of the Work Commencement Order (SPMK), with the aim of ensuring that the construction of this footpath is completed on time and can be immediately utilized by the residents of Mafututu Village. The research method used was quantitative descriptive with a case study approach on the Footpath Construction Project in Mafututu Village. Primary data was collected through field observations and interviews with respondents from the Public Works Agency, project owners, workers, the village government, and the community. The performance variables measured included quality (work quality) and cost (budget efficiency).

Abstract

Deep learning has become a strategic approach to improving the quality of basic education in Indonesia, particularly in developing students’ critical thinking, conceptual understanding, and socio-emotional skills. However, recent studies show that learning practices in elementary schools are still dominated by rote memorization with limited student engagement, resulting in shallow and short-lasting understanding. This article presents a comprehensive literature review on the implementation of deep learning in elementary schools by examining its concepts, practices, challenges, and solutions based on research from the past five years. Thematic analysis of open-access scholarly articles indicates that deep learning enhances students’ analytical abilities, learning motivation, and active participation through mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning experiences. These practices are supported by strategies such as thematic projects, scientific discussions, authentic assessments, and the use of adaptive learning technologies. Nevertheless, implementation in real settings continues to face obstacles, including low pedagogical literacy among teachers, limited facilities, administrative burdens, curriculum misalignment, and unequal access to technology. The study emphasizes that successful deep learning implementation requires systemic support, including continuous professional development for teachers, adequate infrastructure, assessment reform, and collaboration among stakeholders. This review is expected to provide a strategic foundation for schools and policymakers in strengthening contextual and sustainable deep learning practices in Indonesian elementary education.

Abstract

The implementation of reading and writing literacy policies in Primary Schools (SD) was considered a crucial strategy to cultivate a reading culture from an early age, forming the main foundation for improving educational quality. However, the execution at the school level faced significant challenges. Identified obstacles included low student reading interest, limited facilities and relevant reading collections, and insufficient teacher competence in innovative literacy methodologies. Furthermore, minimal family involvement was an external factor exacerbating the situation. The results of this study show that effective and structured interventions encompass strengthening the integrated School Literacy Movement (GLS), continuous teacher training, providing engaging leveled reading collections, proportional use of technology, and collaborative family literacy programs. Recommendations focus on policy synergy, sustainable funding, and monitoring and evaluation based on literacy indicators to ensure program continuity.
