This study aims to analyze the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on brand image and consumer preference in the automotive industry, with a case study of motor vehicle consumers in Pontianak City. CSR is currently not only seen as a company's moral obligation, but also as a business strategy that can shape positive perceptions and create competitive advantages. This research uses a quantitative approach with a total of 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was arranged in the form of a Likert scale closed questionnaire and analyzed by multiple linear regression. The results show that CSR has a significant effect on brand image and consumer preference, both directly and through brand image as an intervening variable. Brand image plays a strong mediating role, suggesting that consumer perceptions of corporate social responsibility shape loyalty and purchase intentions. Consumer preference is not only built through product features or price, but also through the emotional connection and social value built by companies through CSR programs. The implication of this study suggests that automotive companies in Pontianak and other regions make CSR a strategic part of brand management and market winning efforts. Consistent, authentic, and communicative CSR implementation can increase positive perceptions of the brand and strengthen the psychological bond between companies and consumers. Thus, CSR becomes an important element in modern sustainable marketing strategies.

The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly changed the pattern of social interaction, especially among urban youth. One form of this transformation is "phubbing". It is a behavior in which individuals ignore others who are physically present because they are too focused on the smartphone. This study aims to understand "phubbing" as a new cultural pattern in the social interaction of urban youth in Pontianak. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, this study involved ten informants aged 18-25 years who actively used smartphones and had experienced phubbing, both as perpetrators and recipients. The results of the study show that phubbing has become socially normalized and integrated into everyday life, reflecting shifts in social values and norms of interaction. Although it is often considered a routine, phubbing also creates the ambivalence of being accepted and hated. This study shows that phubbing is more than just a digital habit but is also a cultural practice that redefines presence, attention, and social relationships in the digital age.

Waste heat generated from industrial machinery operations represents a significant yet underutilized energy resource, particularly in developing countries like Indonesia. This thermal energy, if properly harnessed, holds considerable potential for conversion into useful energy through the implementation of co-generation systems. Co-generation refers to the simultaneous production of electricity and heat from a single fuel source. Utilizing this system not only enhances overall energy efficiency but also contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and lowering industrial operating costs. This study explores the potential use of industrial waste heat in Indonesia and assesses the feasibility of applying co-generation systems using locally adapted technologies aligned with national industrial conditions. The research methodology includes a combination of literature review, field observation, and interviews with industry practitioners. Findings reveal that co-generation systems can reduce primary energy consumption by up to 30% and improve thermal efficiency to over 70%. Moreover, this approach offers economic benefits by lowering energy expenses and enhancing industrial productivity. In conclusion, harnessing waste heat through co-generation presents a strategic pathway toward improving national energy efficiency and promoting industrial sustainability. Successful implementation will require strong policy support, fiscal incentives, technological innovation, and the development of skilled human resources.

The rapid advancement of information technology has significantly transformed modern society, particularly in the way personal data is collected, stored, and processed. While the digital era offers convenience and efficiency, it also presents substantial risks, especially concerning the misuse of personal data by irresponsible individuals, corporations, or other entities with access to sensitive information. Such misuse can take the form of identity theft, online fraud, or unauthorized exploitation of data for economic gain without the data owner's consent. These circumstances highlight the urgent need for comprehensive regulations and effective criminal law mechanisms to protect personal data. This article aims to explore the criminal law implications of personal data misuse within the Indonesian context and assess the extent to which current legal instruments address these challenges. The research adopts a normative juridical approach by analyzing Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (PDP Law), the Indonesian Penal Code (KUHP), and other related legal provisions. Furthermore, the study examines recent cases to illustrate the weaknesses in cyber law enforcement. The findings reveal that although personal data protection regulations exist, significant gaps remain in implementation, inter-agency coordination, and the effectiveness of criminal sanctions.

This study examines the legal framework and procedural mechanisms for resolving Sharia economic disputes within the Indonesian Religious Court system. As the growth of Islamic finance continues to increase, the number and complexity of disputes related to Sharia-based contracts, financing schemes, and commercial agreements have also risen. This research aims to analyze the principles, legal foundations, and procedural stages used by Religious Courts in handling such disputes. Using a normative juridical approach supported by statutory, conceptual, and case-based analyses, the study explores how judges interpret Sharia principles alongside national law, the effectiveness of dispute resolution procedures, and the extent to which decisions reflect justice and legal certainty for the parties involved. The findings indicate that although the legal basis for Sharia economic dispute resolution is well-established, several challenges remain, including varying interpretations of Sharia, limited expert involvement, and procedural inefficiencies. Strengthening legal harmonization and improving judicial competence are essential for achieving a more effective and equitable dispute resolution system.
