Abstract

The western gate of ITERA. serves as one of the main access points for entering and exiting the campus, however, the pavement in this area has experienced structural deterioration, and pedestrian activities frequently occur on the roadway, posing safety concerns. This study aims to design the rigid pavement la.yer thickness and prepare a cost estima.tion (Bill of Quantities), as well as to plan a pedestrian walkwa.y a.t the western gate of ITERA. The design of the rigid pavement and pedestrian path was carried out using the 2024 Road Pavement Design Manual and the 2023 Technical Guidelines for Pedestrian Facility Planning. The proposed rigid pavement type is Jointed Plin Concrete Pavement (JPCP), consisting of a 150 mm thick concrete slab, a 100 mm thick lean concrete subbase, and a 150 mm thick Class A aggregate base layer. The longitudinal joints are designed using 13 mm dia.meter tie bars with a length of 600 mm and spaced at 750 mm intervals, while the tra.nsverse joints utilize 24 mm diameter dowel bars with a length of 450 mm, spaced at 300 mm intervals, and placed at every 4-meter distance. The total estimated cost for the pa.vement construction is RP 2,118,111,173.31. The pedestrian walkway is planned with a sidewalk width of 1.85 meters and a height of 20 centimeters.

The research method is a quasi-experimental study using a one group pre and post test design, with a sample of 10 samples that were given honey, before the administration, blood pressure was measured first. Research Results after giving honey for 5 consecutive days with 2 tablespoons in the morning and 2 tablespoons in the afternoon there was a decrease in blood pressure with a p_Value of 0.002, which means (p <0.005). Abstract

Cataract is an eye disease characterized by clouding of the lens. Cataracts that develop after the age of 60 are referred to as senile cataracts, a leading cause of blindness among the elderly, marked by progressive lens opacification. Hypertension is one of the risk factors, where cataracts may develop through mechanisms involving increased oxidative stress. This research to analyze the correlation between the duration of hypertension and the stage of senile cataracts. This study falls under ophthalmology and internal medicine. It used a quantitative analytical method with a cross-sectional design. Primary and secondary data were collected from senile cataract patients. A total of 35 patients were selected using purposive sampling, based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Most patients were in the young elderly group (60–69 years; 71.4%), female (65.7%), and housewives (60%). The majority had hypertension for ≤5 years (62.9%) and were diagnosed with immature cataracts (71.4%). A Spearman correlation test showed a significant correlation (p = 0.01; r = +0.561) between the duration of hypertension and cataract stage. The longer the patient had hypertension, the more advanced the cataract stage. There is a significant correlation between the duration of hypertension and the stage of senile cataracts.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate and explain the application of business communication in marketing ice cream products, namely Glico Wings at PT Sriwijaya Distribusindo Raya Palembang. In addition, this research also wants to identify the factors that support and hinder the company in achieving its sales target. In sales, the marketing team has an important role to achieve the desired target. However, in reality, the marketing team faces many heavy workloads as well as a lack of support from stakeholders. One of the challenges faced is the limited promotional programs to partner outlets that can increase the sales spirit of Glico Wings ice cream, especially in the midst of intense competition with other competitors. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results revealed that the marketing team has a strategic role in achieving various company targets that have been set. However, with the lack of adequate support, it will be difficult to compete with existing rivals.

Abstract

The construction industry has the highest rate of occupational accidents, including in Indonesia, accounting for 32% of all cases. Data from the Social Security Agency for Employment (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan) shows a significant increase in claims, from 234,370 cases in 2021 to 360,635 in 2023, with 25% of these accidents occurring in high-rise building projects. In 2023, the province of Lampung recorded 3,142 occupational accidents, ranking 19th nationally and 7th in Sumatra. This study employed a quantitative approach using structured questionnaires, followed by qualitative analysis to identify the key barriers in safety implementation. The level of implementation of the Construction Safety Management System (CSMS) in building projects across Bandar Lampung ranged from 74% to 95%, classified as good to satisfactory, with all projects fully allocating safety-related budgets. The primary obstacles identified include a weak safety culture among leaders and workers, regulations that are not well-aligned with field conditions, and a shortage of qualified safety supervisors. Strengthening safety education, updating regulatory frameworks, and increasing the number of competent safety professionals are critical measures to improve occupational safety in construction projects.

Abstract

Self Efficacy is the belief and confidence possessed by mothers in their ability to breastfeed their babies. Exclusive breastfeeding from 2017 tends to show the highest increase in achievement over the past 5 years. However, this achievement has not been able to reach the national target. Related to that, there is something that is unfortunate, namely the low understanding of mothers, families, and communities regarding the importance of breast milk for babies. This study aims to determine the relationship between breastfeeding self-efficacy and motivation for providing exclusive breastfeeding in primigravida pregnant women. This type of research uses analytical research with a cross-sectional method with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique is a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used is a questionnaire, then the data is analyzed univariately and bivariately with the Spearman test. The research location is the Baqa Health Center and Trauma Center with a total sample of 43 respondents. Statistical analysis using Spearman's rho with a value of p = 0.000 then p <a that the value of Asymp.Sig (2-Sided) <0.05 (0.000 <0.05) then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Primigravida pregnant women with high self-efficacy will be more motivated to provide exclusive breastfeeding. High self-efficacy reflects the mother's confidence in her ability to breastfeed, which in turn increases their desire and commitment to provide exclusive breastfeeding. There is a relationship between breastfeeding self-efficacy and motivation for providing exclusive breastfeeding in primigravida pregnant women. Assessment of self-efficacy and motivation of pregnant women can be done to determine the level of mother's confidence in providing exclusive breastfeeding.
