Abstract

Kegiatan peningkatan kualitas membaca Al-Qur'an pada karyawan Pesantren Mahasiswa (Pesma) KH Mas Mansur Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur'an dengan metode Smart Tahsin. Metode ini dipilih karena praktis dan dapat diterapkan pada berbagai usia. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif dari peserta, yaitu 17 karyawan Pesma. Kegiatan berlangsung selama satu bulan dengan empat pertemuan, setiap hari Sabtu pada pukul 09.00-10.00 WIB. Tahapan kegiatan mencakup observasi awal, pretest, pengenalan metode, sesi pelatihan, evaluasi tengah, serta posttest sebagai evaluasi akhir. Hasil pretest menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas peserta mengalami kesulitan dalam membaca huruf sambung dengan harakat pendek, sementara setelah dilakukan pelatihan, terjadi peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan makhorijul huruf, hukum bacaan, kelancaran, dan ketepatan bacaan. Nilai rata-rata pretest dan posttest menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan, meskipun belum mencapai skor sempurna. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode Smart Tahsin efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas membaca Al-Qur'an di kalangan karyawan Pesma dan memberikan rekomendasi untuk melanjutkan kegiatan serupa guna meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Pondok An-Nahdloh merupakan lembaga pendidikan yang berafiliasi dengan Nahdlatul Ulama dan mengembangkan model pendidikan integratif antara penguatan keilmuan keislaman dan pembinaan karakter santri. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk bedah buku dengan tujuan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, membaca, dan menulis santri, sekaligus sebagai media edukasi akhlak dalam upaya pencegahan pacaran di lingkungan pesantren. Hasil evaluasi kuantitatif menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan bedah buku Perempuan Sejuta Kepahitan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi dan pemahaman nilai akhlak santri. Instrumen penelitian dinyatakan valid dan reliabel dengan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,812, data berdistribusi normal dengan signifikansi 0,200, serta terdapat peningkatan skor pascakegiatan yang signifikan secara statistik (mean = −6,42; t = −10,19; Sig. = 0,000). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa bedah buku dapat dijadikan model intervensi pedagogis yang efektif di pesantren.

Abstract

Kemampuan membaca huruf hijaiyah ialah kompetensi dasar dalam pembelajaran Al-Qur’an yang perlu dikuasai peserta didik sejak dini. Namun, pada praktiknya masih ditemukan peserta didik yang kesulitan untuk mengenali dan melafalkan huruf hijaiyah secara tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan membaca huruf hijaiyah melalui penerapan metode pratikum video. Studi ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif melalui metode deskriptif. Subjek pada studi ini ialah peserta didik Anak-anak dan Remaja TPA di Surau Sulaiman Nur Sungai Buluh, Kec. Ngabang, Kab. Landak KALBAR. Metode yang diterapkan dalam menghimpun data ialah dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi. Triangulasi sumber dan metodologi digunakan untuk mengkonfirmasi kebenaran data. Reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan ialah tahapan pada analisis data interaktif. Temuan studi ini menunjukkan penerapan metode pratikum video mampu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca huruf hijaiyah peserta didik, yang ditandai oleh meningkatnya pengenalan huruf, ketepatan pelafalan sesuai makhraj dan Sifat, serta kelancaran membaca. Selain itu, metode ini juga meningkatkan keaktifan dan motivasi belajar peserta didik pada tahap pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, metode pratikum video bisa diterapkan menjadi strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk menumbuhkan kemampuan membaca huruf hijaiyah.

Abstract

In the last decade, Indonesia has faced the problem of extremism and radicalism. The strengthening of these two ideologies is driven by a pattern of thinking that is exclusive, closed, and intolerant of religious texts. This radicalism and extremism ideology has infiltrated in various forms and modus operandi, ultimately targeting young people in Islamic boarding schools, universities, schools, and even tahfiz houses. This ideology is better known as the Salafi group, which understands Islam exclusively, textually, and intolerantly, because its understanding of the verses of the Quran is not deeply understood. This community service activity aims to address this by providing support to the Bustanqu Institute in Merjosari, Malang. The goal is to reduce intolerant attitudes toward religion and to help students understand the Quran through the Inclusive Verse Literacy Program. This community service method uses Participatory Action Research, which, in the future, is expected to create a community of students at the Bustanqu Tahfidz House with an inclusive and tolerant national and Islamic perspective. The results of this mentoring program include changes in the students of the Bustanqu Tahfidz House in their understanding of the Koran's verses in a deep, non-textual way, as well as visible changes in their attitudes toward being moderate, tolerant, and gentle in their religious life.

Abstract

The program to assist in the processing of Lantung oil into diesel fuel and asphalt, implemented by KKN Group 02 STAI Darussalam in Lerpak Village, Geger Subdistrict, Bangkalan Regency, aims to optimize the use of local natural resources while promoting the economic empowerment of the village community. Lantung oil, which has traditionally been used in a traditional manner, has great potential to be developed into an economically valuable product through a simple distillation process. The activities were carried out using a participatory and sustainable approach, including internal planning, coordination with the village government and community, technical capacity building through study visits, hands-on oil processing, product testing, socialization, and program evaluation. The results of the activities show that Lantung oil can be processed into several fractions, mainly diesel fuel and asphalt, which can technically be used as diesel engine fuel and road hardening material. Field trials have proven that the product functions well, while socialization activities have increased community knowledge, participation, and awareness of work safety and the economic potential of Lantung oil. In addition, the involvement of BUMDes Lerpak as a marketing partner strengthened the institutional and sustainability aspects of the program. Overall, this activity successfully transformed local knowledge into productive practices with added value and has the potential to be developed as a model for village community empowerment based on local natural resources.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to strengthen Islamic character education among children in Plosokerep village through a collaborative pesantren kilat involving nine TPQs. The main issue addressed was the limited variation and integration of learning materials in TPQs, which tended to focus only on reading iqra’ and memorizing short surahs. Using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) and Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approaches, the program engaged 29 students as direct beneficiaries. Activities were conducted in TPQ Al-Madinah and integrated four main subjects: basic fiqh, akhlak, Arabic language, and Qur’an recitation (tahsin). Results show that more than 80% of participants improved their understanding and practice, particularly in Qur’an recitation and Islamic manners. A pesantren kilat module was produced as the main output, serving as a practical guide for TPQs to continue the program independently. The collaboration successfully fostered stronger networks among TPQs, increased social interaction, and contributed to the sustainable development of Islamic education in the community.

Abstract

Quranic learning at the Quranic Education Center (TPQ) plays a crucial role in shaping children's character and spirituality from an early age. However, in practice, various problems remain, such as students' poor understanding of makhraj and tajwid, weak learning motivation, and a lack of variety in teaching methods used by Quranic teachers at the TPQ. The primary issue of this community service program is the lack of innovation in learning methods, which results in suboptimal learning outcomes for children. The community service program employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving teachers, students, and parents in problem identification, method planning, implementation, and evaluation. Teachers became more confident in teaching, students became more active and motivated, and parents participated in supporting their children's learning at home. This community service program recommends that TPQs adopt a more creative and collaborative learning approach as a long-term strategy to improve the quality of Quranic education.   Keywords: Mentoring, Learning, Innovation, and Methods

Abstract

The Qur’an encompasses both spiritual and aesthetic dimensions, one of which is manifested through the art of Qira’ah. However, the current phenomenon shows that many young generations are only able to read the Qur’an technically without mastering the variations of Qira’ah tones, making the recitation sound monotonous and less engaging. This condition is also found in Palrejo Village, Sumobito Subdistrict, Jombang Regency, where although competent qaris and qari’ahs exist, structured training platforms for children and youth remain limited. To address this need, a Rapid Training of Qira’ah Seven Tones was implemented using a participatory approach that involved students, teachers, and community leaders. The program was attended by 27 participants from three local TPQs, applying lectures, demonstration, visual aids, hands-on practice, and reinforcement through digital media in the form of QR codes containing recorded materials. Evaluation results indicate an improvement in participants’ skills in reciting the Qur’an with tonal variations, development of vocal and breathing techniques, as well as enhanced self-confidence. Furthermore, this activity strengthened social bonds and religious culture within the community through active participation of various stakeholders. Thus, the Qira’ah Seven Tones training proved effective not only as a medium for improving technical skills, but also as an instrument of da’wah, character education, and the preservation of valuable local religious traditions.

Abstract

The sunnah prayer of rawatib is a form of worship that has an important position in Islamic teachings. In the context of education, teaching and fostering students' interest in the sunnah prayer of rawatib among students at the elementary school level. The purpose of implementing community service activities in the Basic Fiqh Understanding Training for Students of MI Bustanul Ulum, Nglele Village, is that students are expected to be able to understand and practice basic ubudiyyah fiqh. The approach method for implementing community service activities in schools under the School Partnership Program scheme includes lectures and discussions. The training on understanding the Ubudiyah Fiqh of Worship at MI Bustanul Ulum, Nglele Village, Sumobito District, Jombang Regency went well and in accordance with the planned objectives. This activity made a positive contribution in increasing students' knowledge, understanding, and skills regarding daily worship practices, especially prayer, thaharah, prayer, and other worship etiquette. Overall, this training is effective as a means of improving the religious competence of MI Bustanul Ulum students, as well as being a real effort in supporting the realization of a generation that is faithful, pious, and has noble character.

Abstract

Pendidikan agama merupakan fondasi penting yang sangat diperlukan dalam masa pertumbuhan anak karena berpengaruh langsung terhadap sikap dan perkembangan kepribadiannya. Pendidikan ini menjadi tahap awal dalam membentuk identitas diri anak. Salah satu cara untuk membentuk jati diri anak adalah dengan mengenalkan Al-Qur’an sejak usia dini adalah dengan memasukkan anak ke TPQ. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman ibadah wudhu dan sholat pada anak-anak TPQ Desa Budugsidorejo melalui metode partisipatif berbasis video edukasi. Kondisi di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak anak yang belum memahami serta membiasakan kedua ibadah tersebut dengan baik. Situasi serupa juga ditemui di Desa Budugsidorejo, Kecamatan Sumobito, Kabupaten Jombang, khususnya pada TPQ Baitul Jannah dan TPQ Baitul Rohim. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan melibatkan ustadz/ustadzah, santri, dan wali santri. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan anak-anak dalam memahami tata cara wudhu dan sholat, serta tumbuhnya semangat beribadah sejak dini. Program ini juga memberikan dampak sosial, pendidikan, dan kultural yang positif di masyarakat.
