Abstract

Dukuhdimoro Village in East Java is home to various educational and religious institutions. However, the challenge lies in shaping the character of the younger generation due to a lack of guidance and role modeling from educators. To address this issue, community service activities are conducted with social and psychological approaches. One of the focuses is Quranic character education for educators to integrate religious values into teaching. Evaluations show an improvement in educators' understanding of the Quranic generation concept. The pocketbook "Shaping the Quranic Generation" serves as a practical tool supporting independent learning. Its impact extends to economic, social, and educational sectors. It is hoped to make a positive contribution to the development of children's character and moral values, as well as the religious awareness of the community as a whole.

Abstract

Di era masa kini, penting bagi generasi muda untuk memahami dan mengimplementasikan moderasi beragama dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hal ini diperlukan mengingat dalam era globalisasi ini, keberagaman menjadi semakin nyata dan relevan dalam konteks kehidupan masyarakat. Keberagaman agama merupakan salah satu aspek yang krusial dalam dinamika sosial yang mempengaruhi cara individu memandang dunia, bertindak, dan berinteraksi satu sama lain. Implementasi moderasi beragama dapat diwujudkan salah satunya melalui pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan di MTs Almaarif 01 Singosari. Pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa KKM UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang ini mengimplementasikan moderasi beragama melalui lomba mading. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian berupa pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil yang didapat adalah adanya dampak positif bagi para siswa, karena dapat memiliki pemahaman yang komprehensif serta dapat mengimplementasikannya dalam karya mading. Meskipun demikian, masih ada beberapa kendala seperti kurangnya minat sebagian siswa terhadap tema moderasi beragama. Dari hasil tersebut, dibutuhkan adanya pemaksimalan dalam mempromosikan tema moderasi beragama untuk menarik minat generasi muda.

Abstract

Penguatan moderasi dalam membangun identitas kebangsaan merupakan salah satu tantangan utama yang dihadapi masyarakat Indonesia di era modern. Desa Cipurut, dengan keberagaman budayanya, menjadi lokasi yang strategis untuk melaksanakan program pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan memperkuat nilai-nilai kebangsaan melalui kegiatan perayaan Hari Ulang Tahun Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia (HUT-RI). Program ini menggunakan pendekatan Asset Based Communities Development (ABCD) yang menekankan pada pengidentifikasian dan pengoptimalan aset-aset yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat desa. Metode ABCD dipilih karena mampu memberdayakan masyarakat dengan mengedepankan kekuatan dan potensi lokal dalam membangun identitas kolektif yang inklusif dan moderat. Kegiatan pendampingan melibatkan berbagai unsur masyarakat, termasuk pemuda, tokoh adat, dan aparat desa, dalam merancang dan melaksanakan berbagai kegiatan yang berfokus pada penguatan nilai-nilai moderasi, seperti gotong royong, penghargaan terhadap perbedaan, dan cinta tanah air. Melalui kegiatan HUT-RI, masyarakat diajak untuk merenungkan kembali makna kemerdekaan dan pentingnya menjaga kerukunan dalam keberagaman. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya moderasi dan identitas kebangsaan yang kuat sebagai fondasi dalam menghadapi tantangan globalisasi. Keberhasilan program ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ABCD efektif dalam mendukung pembangunan sosial yang berkelanjutan dan relevan dengan konteks lokal.

Abstract

The community service program in the form of al-banjari training for TPQ santri in Kedungbogo village aims to preserve and develop traditional Islamic musical arts among the younger generation, namely al-banjari. Al-banjari is a form of tambourine musical art, which has an important role in efforts to strengthen religious and cultural values ​​in society. Usually TPQ students in Kedungbogo village use al-banjari as a herding tool during the evening Lailatus Sholawat activities. However, the lack of understanding in innovating rhythm and tone makes al-banjari activities felt less effective, and there is also a lack of trainers in carrying out al-banjari exercises. This training involves TPQ students in Kedungbogo village who have an interest in the tambourine musical art instrument. The training methods used include the caramah method and coaching. The results of the al-banjari training showed an increase in understanding of playing al-banjari using the tambourine musical instrument and by making a guidebook containing the al-banjari formula. It is hoped that the success of this training will be an inspiration for other students to be enthusiastic about preserving and developing traditional Islamic musical arts.

Abstract

TPQ Ar-Rohman, terletak di Dusun Bebekan, Desa Bakalanrayung, adalah lembaga pendidikan Islam yang fokus mengajarkan Al-Qur'an kepada anak-anak. Dalam pelaksanaannya, TPQ ini menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti kurangnya tenaga pengajar, fasilitas yang masih terbatas, dan tingkat kehadiran santri yang sering berubah-ubah. Dari 60 santri yang terdaftar, hanya 35 anak yang rutin mengikuti kegiatan mengaji. Selain itu, pemahaman santri tentang ilmu tajwid masih rendah, padahal tajwid adalah hal penting dalam membaca Al-Qur'an dengan benar. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, dikembangkan media pembelajaran berupa buku saku tajwid. Buku ini disusun dengan bahasa yang mudah dipahami dan dirancang agar santri bisa belajar secara mandiri. Program penerapan buku saku tajwid ini bertujuan untuk membantu santri lebih mudah memahami dan menerapkan aturan tajwid saat membaca Al-Qur'an. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman santri TPQ mitra terhadap ilmu tajwid. Sebelum pelaksanaan program, sebanyak 12 dari 15 santri masuk dalam kategori kurang mampu, sedangkan hanya 3 santri yang tergolong mampu. Setelah program selesai, terjadi peningkatan signifikan, di mana 14 santri berhasil masuk ke dalam kategori mampu, dan hanya 1 santri yang masih berada pada kategori kurang mampu. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa program pembelajaran telah efektif dalam memperbaiki pemahaman santri tentang tajwid.

Abstract

Pegon serves as an Islamic literacy bridge, facilitating the integration of local culture and Islamic teachings. It preserves the local language while strengthening religious values within the community. The objective of this community service program is to introduce Islamic literacy to students at the TPQ in Made Village through training in Pegon script writing. It is hoped that this will increase their understanding of Islamic cultural heritage and develop literacy skills that focus on Islamic values. The methodology employed is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which is oriented towards community empowerment through the active participation of students from three TPQs in Made Village: TPQ Al-Fathani, TPQ Al-Ikhlas, and TPQ Nurul Iman. The training proved effective in enhancing the students' comprehension of the Pegon script and facilitating a more profound understanding of Islamic literacy. The students' enthusiasm was palpable during the training sessions, particularly during the question-and-answer periods and the interactive discussions, during which they proactively sought clarification and demonstrated a keen interest in practicing writing in the Pegon script. Furthermore, the TPQ teachers provided comprehensive assistance, which was crucial to the successful implementation of the activities. This support fostered a collaborative learning environment and contributed to the program's success. Reviving Pegon literacy through this type of training is crucial. It not only preserves the cultural heritage of Islam in the archipelago but also enhances religious literacy within a pertinent local context. The program significantly reinforces the identity of Muslims in Indonesia by ensuring the maintenance and advancement of religious and cultural values through Pegon literacy in Islamic educational settings.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan ibu lansia di Desa Cupak melalui upaya pemberantasan buta huruf Al-Qur'an dengan kegiatan Baca Tulis Qur'an (BTQ). Program dilaksanakan pada tanggal 14 dan 22 Agustus 2024, dengan melibatkan 25 peserta lansia. Sebelum pelatihan dimulai, dilakukan pre-test untuk mengukur kemampuan awal peserta dalam membaca Al-Qur'an, termasuk huruf hijaiyah, tanda baca (mad, waqaf, qolqolah), dan tajwid (izhar, ikhfa, idgham, iklab). Hasil pre-test menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pemahaman peserta hanya mencapai 66%, yang mencerminkan rendahnya literasi Al-Qur'an di kalangan ibu lansia. Setelah pelatihan dilaksanakan dengan metode partisipatif dan berbasis komunitas, hasil post-test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dengan rata-rata pemahaman mencapai 85%, memperlihatkan peningkatan sebesar 19%. Pendekatan partisipatif yang digunakan berhasil menciptakan suasana belajar yang interaktif, dengan peserta aktif berlatih dan saling mendukung dalam kelompok kecil. Selain peningkatan kemampuan teknis dalam membaca Al-Qur'an, program ini juga berdampak positif pada aspek sosial dan spiritual. Ibu-ibu lansia menjadi lebih percaya diri dan lebih terlibat dalam kegiatan keagamaan seperti pengajian dan tahlilan setelah pelatihan. Program ini membuktikan bahwa pendidikan berbasis komunitas yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif dapat meningkatkan keterampilan literasi dan memberdayakan masyarakat secara spiritual. Beberapa tantangan, seperti kesulitan dalam memahami tajwid yang lebih kompleks, diatasi melalui bimbingan tambahan dan pendampingan intensif.

Abstract

Knowledge related to public speaking will be able to facilitate opinions/ideas/information to be accepted by heterogeneous communities. Public speaking skills can also support students' careers in working to produce competent public speakers to meet the needs of today's era. Mojodanu is a village located in Ngusikan District, Jombang Regency. The ability to do Public Speaking among TPQ children in Mojodanu varies. Some of them are used to speaking in public through school activities and religious studies, but there are also those who still feel less confident. From here the author has an idea to improve the mastery of Public Speaking properly and correctly in Mojodanu Village, Ngusikan District. By using the Public Speaking Guide book. The approach method used in community service in Mojodanu Village is to use the PAR method (Participatory Action Research). One of them is by implementing practical methods, training and local community approaches so that indirectly children and the community in Mojodanu Village can capture the Public Speaking training material well. After the Public Speaking training was held, TPQ children in Mojodanu village were enthusiastic in preparing themselves for the Public Speaking competition. The opinion of the head of TPQ from various hamlets in Mojodanu Village said that TPQ children were happy and motivated in the Public Speaking training that we did. With the books provided, it can help partners in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Thoharoh, or purification, is one of the essential elements in Islamic teachings and a fundamental requirement for the validity of worship, especially prayer. However, based on observations in Asemgede Village, there is a gap in understanding the proper procedures for thoharoh among the community. Therefore, this community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge of mosque and musholla congregants in the village through the study of fiqh from the book Safinatunnaja. The methods used include lectures, discussions, Q&A sessions, and hands-on practice. This activity was carried out in collaboration between LPPM UNWAHA, KUA Ngusikan, and local religious leaders. The results show a significant improvement in participants' understanding of thoharoh procedures, as indicated by the pre- and post-activity survey results. This program is expected to strengthen religious understanding and improve the quality of worship in Asemgede Village. Additionally, a product in the form of a thoharoh guidebook was produced, which is easy for congregants to study and aims to enhance daily religious practices.

Abstract

Community service in Kromong Ngusikan Jombang Village was carried out to provide TPQ children with a deeper understanding of ablution procedures in accordance with the guidance of Islamic law and the practice of daily prayers. Through the lecture method, to provide basic insight, as well as educational games to make it easier for children to understand the material. This activity focuses on the process of direct understanding and practice. The results of the questionnaire data show that the average knowledge of TPQ Al Islamiyah children regarding the practice of ablution is at 39%, meaning that there are still many who do not properly understand the ablution procedures according to the guidelines. However, after the implementation of practice and guidance there was a jump to 82%, which reflects the effectiveness of this program in increasing children's abilities and awareness of the importance of performing ablution correctly. This increase not only shows the success of the learning method used, but also emphasizes the importance of repetition and direct practice. in understanding daily worship. The impacts include increasing children's knowledge, teacher innovation, and increasing enthusiasm for learning.
