Abstract

Objective: This systematic literature review aims to analyze research trends related to the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Differentiated Instruction (DI) in elementary mathematics education, particularly in relation to students’ problem-solving abilities. Method: The review followed the PRISMA protocol by systematically searching the Scopus database. From 92 identified records, 24 empirical studies published between 2021 and 2024 met the inclusion criteria. The selected studies were analyzed based on research design, instructional approach, and problem-solving focus.. Results: The findings indicate that both PBL and DI independently contribute positively to students’ mathematical problem-solving skills, including reasoning, strategy development, and higher-order thinking. However, most studies examined PBL and DI separately, while only a limited number explicitly integrated both approaches within a single instructional framework. Novelty: This review highlights a significant research gap regarding the explicit integration of PBL and DI in elementary mathematics learning, emphasizing the need for instructional models that simultaneously address problem-centered learning and learner diversity.

Abstract

This study examines zapin, hadroh, and marawis as forms of embodied pedagogy within Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) pesantren in Tasikmalaya, Indonesia, based on a multi-sited ethnographic investigation involving 247 santri aged 12–24. Data were generated through 156 hours of participant observation, 42 video-documented rehearsal and performance sessions, and 18 semi-structured interviews with key pedagogical actors. Analysis identified five interconnected mechanisms shaping moral learning: somatic inscription through repetitive bodily practice, relational ensemble-based pedagogy, traditionalist epistemology as a generative constraint, gender-differentiated modes of ethical embodiment, and the longitudinal integration of learned dispositions into everyday behavior. Engagement in Islamic arts was associated with substantial gains in motor competence (70-126%), higher moral development among art-intensive cohorts (d = 0.78, p < 0.012), and sustained reductions in behavioral infractions over 24 months (62–89%, p < 0.001). The findings demonstrate that embodied artistic practice enables Islamic moral knowledge to be internalized as durable bodily habit rather than abstract instruction.

Abstract

Objective: This study investigated the mediating role of customer trust in linking perceived usefulness and ease of use to reuse intention among digital payment users, providing implications for financial technology education curriculum development. Method: A quantitative survey involving 600 Pospay users was conducted using seven-point Likert scale questionnaires. Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) was employed for analysis with bootstrapping (5,000 resamples) to test direct and indirect effects. Results: Perceived usefulness most strongly influenced customer trust (β = 0.611, p < 0.001), followed by perceived ease of use (β = 0.359, p < 0.001). Customer trust significantly predicted reuse intention (β = 0.447, p < 0.001) and fully mediated both pathways. The model explained 86.8% of trust variance and 82% of reuse intention variance. Novelty: This research extends the Technology Acceptance Model by identifying trust as the key psychological mechanism linking perceived usefulness and ease of use to reuse intention. More importantly, it highlights a pedagogical shift in financial technology education by emphasizing that financial literacy programs should integrate trust-building competencies alongside technical operational skills.

Abstract

Dyslexia is a specific learning disability that affects an individual's ability to read, write, and recognize written language symbols. This disorder is neurobiological, involving brain areas that regulate phonological and visual processing. An interesting phenomenon emerges when children with dyslexia show better ability in reading Arabic letters (Hijaiyah) compared to the Latin alphabet. This study aims to provide an in-depth description of the ease with which dyslexic children read Hijaiyah letters, despite difficulties with the Latin alphabet. Unlike previous studies that predominantly focus on deficits in Latin-based reading, this study offers a novel perspective by examining the contrasting proficiency of dyslexic children in reading Hijaiyah script and identifying the underlying spiritual and multisensory learning mechanisms. A qualitative approach with a phenomenological design was used to explore the subjective experiences of dyslexic children in the process of reading two different writing systems. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies involving children, parents, classroom teachers, psychologists, and religious teachers (ustazah). Data analysis was conducted through reduction, categorization, and thematic interpretation to uncover the essential meanings of the experiences of the subjects. The results indicate that Hijaiyah letters are easier for dyslexic children to read because their learning process involves a multisensory religious approach, activating alternative learning pathways through auditory repetition, kinesthetic movement, and spiritual guidance. This condition fosters emotional calm, intrinsic motivation, and self-confidence in reading Hijaiyah letters compared to the Latin alphabet. Religious values and a spiritual learning environment play a crucial role in enhancing self-confidence and reducing academic anxiety in dyslexic children. This phenomenon suggests that spiritual and multisensory-based learning could be an effective intervention alternative for children with literacy difficulties.

Abstract

This study examines the leadership strategies of a school principal in improving the performance of administrative staff at MTsN 2 Bengkulu Tengah. While previous studies have highlighted the importance of principal leadership in educational settings, limited research has specifically explored how leadership strategies are enacted to address administrative performance challenges in the context of digital transformation in madrasah. This study adopts a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation involving the principal, administrative staff, vice principals, and teachers. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, supported by triangulation. The findings reveal four key leadership strategies: (1) competency development through targeted training and mentoring, (2) motivation enhancement through recognition and a supportive work climate, (3) continuous supervision and feedback, and (4) integration of digital technology in administrative processes. These strategies contributed to improved discipline, task efficiency, technical skills, and service quality. However, challenges remain, particularly in digital competence gaps, workload distribution, and adaptation to administrative digitalization. This study highlights the novelty of an adaptive and participatory leadership approach that integrates human resource development with digital transformation in madrasah administration. The findings offer practical implications for school leaders in designing context-sensitive strategies to strengthen administrative performance.
