Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the implementation of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) aspects in enhancing employee engagement, work flexibility, and productivity at PT Karuniatama Polypack. Methodology/approach: The research adopts a qualitative approach using data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The study focuses on understanding the integration of SHE practices within the company's work culture and their impact on human resource performance. Results/findings: The findings reveal that the implementation of SHE remains largely formalistic and has not been fully embedded in the organizational culture. The lack of employee involvement in SHE monitoring and communication results in low engagement levels, limited work flexibility, and decreased productivity due to poor safety awareness among employees. Conclusions: The study highlights the importance of holistic SHE integration to foster a safe, participatory, and productive work environment. A shift toward participatory managerial practices and safety-oriented organizational culture is recommended as a strategic approach to improving employee performance. Limitations: This research is limited to a single company and uses a qualitative design, which may restrict generalization. The findings are context-specific and may differ in organizations with varying SHE maturity levels or corporate cultures. Contribution: This study contributes to the body of knowledge on workplace safety and HR performance by emphasizing the strategic role of SHE in shaping employee behavior, engagement, and productivity. It also provides practical insights for manufacturing companies to improve SHE integration in daily operations.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the influence of servant leadership style on employee loyalty, both directly and indirectly through job satisfaction, at PT Graha Sarana Duta (Telkom Property) Bali Area. Research Methodology: This is a quantitative research using a survey-based non-experimental approach. Data were collected from 76 outsourcing employees selected through simple random sampling. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) via SmartPLS 3.0. The study is underpinned by Equity Theory, which explains that perceptions of fairness influence both job satisfaction and employee loyalty, especially in relation to leadership behavior. Results: The results indicate that servant leadership positively affects job satisfaction and employee loyalty, with job satisfaction also acting as a partial mediator in this relationship. Conclusion: Servant leadership, marked by love, humility, and support, enhances job satisfaction and ultimately boosts employee loyalty, highlighting the importance of empathetic and service-oriented leadership. Limitations: This study focuses on outsourcing employees in a single company with a cross-sectional design, limiting its ability to capture long-term effects. Future research should consider additional variables like work environment or company policies for broader insights. Contribution: This study contributes by validating Equity Theory in the context of employee loyalty and job satisfaction in Indonesia’s property sector, while offering practical insights for enhancing retention through servant leadership.

Abstract

Purpose: The increasingly competitive fertilizer industry requires companies to pursue continuous product innovation. This study aims to evaluate the influence of product characteristics, sales promotion, and corporate reputation on the success of new product development (NPD) for Liquid Organic Biofertilizer (LOB) at PT XYZ. Methodology/approach: This study employed a quantitative approach using quota sampling involving 48 respondents who are consumers of the LOB product. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. Results/findings: The findings indicate that, simultaneously, product characteristics, sales promotion, and corporate reputation significantly affect NPD success. However, partially, only product characteristics have a positive and significant influence. Sales promotion and corporate reputation do not significantly impact NPD success. Limitations: The study's limitation lies in the sample size, which only includes 48 respondents and focuses on one company and one product type, limiting generalizability. Contribution: This study contributes to marketing and product development disciplines by highlighting the dominant role of product characteristics in NPD success in agribusiness. It offers strategic insights for business managers, especially in sustainable agriculture and organic product development.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine the patron-client relationship in the trading practices of middlemen at the Kuta market in Pemalang. It examines how these relationships influence transaction dynamics, bargaining power, and economic dependency among micro-enterprises. This study also examines business ethics, including honesty, fairness, and responsibility in trading activities. Furthermore, it examines the role of management business education in shaping ethical practices and supporting the sustainability of micro-enterprises within traditional market settings. Methodology/approach: Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Results: The study shows hierarchical patterns in the patron-client system that hinder micro-enterprise autonomy. Conclusions: This study reveals that patron dominance in the tengkulak business limits client autonomy and ethical fairness, highlighting the need for improved community-based training and ethical practices. Limitations: This study was limited to a specific location and community; therefore, the findings cannot yet be generalized to other traditional market contexts in Indonesia. Contributions: This study contributes to the fields of educational business management and business ethics, particularly within the informal microeconomic sector. These findings provide conceptual and empirical insights into patron-client dynamics and related ethical challenges. Furthermore, this study offers valuable references for academics, policymakers, and community development institutions to understand and address ethical issues within patron-client systems in traditional markets.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to explore the influence of Fear of Missing Out (FoMO)-based marketing strategies on Umrah consumer decision-making in the digital era. FoMO as a psychological phenomenon that develops due to the use of social media has been shown to influence consumption behavior widely, including in the context of religious travel. Methodology/approach: The approach used in this study is qualitative with a literature study method, examining relevant research results from internationally reputable journals for the last five years. Previous research has shown that FoMO correlates positively with purchase intent, especially through temporary marketing content and the role of social media influencers. Results/findings: In the context of Umrah, a promotional strategy that emphasizes quota limitations, departure times, and testimonials from previous pilgrims is able to create a perception of urgency and emotional attachment of potential consumers. This study concludes that FoMO can be an important variable in crafting marketing strategies that are more effective and relevant to today's digital Muslim generation. Conclusion: FoMO significantly shapes consumer behavior in umrah travel, where urgency-based marketing and digital content enhance purchase intention. However, its application should be sensitively aligned with spiritual values and community togetherness, not merely emotional pressure. Limitations: Limited to only variables FOMO, Marketing Strategy, Promotion, Consumer, Umrah, Qualitative Studies with the results. Contribution: The contribution of this research lies in the integration of digital psychology perspectives, religious consumer behaviuor, and ethical marketing strategies, as well as providing direction for further research and practical implications for the Umrah travel service industry players.

Abstract

Purpose : This study examines the effect of career development and work environment on employee productivity, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. Methodology/approach: Conducted at Halim Kusuma Airport, the research used a quantitative approach with a census of 56 respondents. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. Results/findings: The findings reveal that career development and work environment significantly influence job satisfaction and employee productivity. Of the two, the work environment has the most dominant effect on job satisfaction, which in turn significantly affects productivity. Job satisfaction acts as an effective mediator, linking career development and work environment to productivity outcomes. Conclusions : These results indicate that achieving optimal employee productivity requires attention not only to formal organizational policies but also to how employees perceive their jobs and surroundings. A positive work environment contributes more strongly to satisfaction than career development, but both remain essential for fostering long-term motivation. Limitations: This research highlights the critical role of comprehensive human resource strategies that balance structural and affective aspects to enhance employee performance. Contribution: However, the study is limited by its focus on one sector, use of a cross-sectional design, and lack of analysis of specific work environment elements. Future research could adopt a longitudinal approach for deeper insights.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the extent to which advertising rates, number of listeners, and number of companies that advertise affect the receipt of advertising revenue in LPP RRI Bandar Lampung. Research Methodology: The data used include advertising rates based on the type of service (ad spots, adlibs, talk shows), the number of radio listeners per month from 2022 to 2024, the number of companies that advertise, and the receipt of advertising revenue during the period. Results: The results showed that the variety of flexible advertising rates, increasing the number of listeners, and increasing the number of companies that advertise significantly contribute to the increase in advertising revenue in LPP RRI Bandar Lampung. Conclusions: The results showed that the advertising tariff strategy implemented by LPP RRI Bandar Lampung succeeded in increasing revenue, supported by an increase in the number of listeners and advertiser confidence. However, a comparison with other radio stations shows that strategies and results may vary depending on different business models, target audiences, and sociocultural contexts. Limitations: This study has limitations on the scope of data that only includes LPP RRI in Bandar Lampung City, so the results cannot be generalized to all regions of Indonesia. In addition, the variables studied are limited and do not include other external factors, such as marketing strategies and economic conditions, which can also affect advertising revenue. Contributions: This study provides an empirical understanding of the factors affecting the receipt of advertising revenue at LPP RRI, especially in the city of Bandar Lampung. The results of this study can serve as a reference for RRI management in formulating strategies to increase advertising revenue through tariff optimization, increasing the number of listeners, and cooperating with more advertising companies.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to analyze how market competitive pay, career growth, and job satisfaction affect the job-hopping intentions of Generation Z employees in Yogyakarta. Methodology/approach: This study utilized a quantitative method with purposive sampling. A total of 104 Generation Z respondents filled out an online questionnaire, and the data were processed using multiple linear regression through SPSS 25. Results/findings: The findings indicate that market competitive pay, career growth, and job satisfaction collectively exert a significant influence on job-hopping intentions. However, market competitive pay and job satisfaction show a negative influence, meaning higher levels of both reduce the tendency to job hop. Interestingly, career growth has a positive effect, indicating that greater perceived opportunities for advancement can increase job-hopping intentions when expectations are not met internally. Conclusion: Career growth can motivate Gen Z employees to pursue external opportunities if their current organization lacks clear advancement paths. Meanwhile, competitive pay and job satisfaction can reduce the desire to job hop, making them essential components of effective retention strategies. Limitations: This study is limited by a short data collection period of only one month. This may lead to temporal bias and restrict the depth of analysis, so the findings should be interpreted with caution and not generalized without considering longer-term dynamics. Contribution: This study highlights the need for companies to integrate fair compensation, transparent career development plans, and job satisfaction strategies to retain young employees effectively, particularly in competitive job markets.
