Abstract

Abstract: The learning process of the Akidah Akhlak subject at MAS Nurul Haq Semurup shows a clear effort by teachers to create a more interesting and enjoyable learning atmosphere. One of the efforts made is the application of ice breaking strategies as part of the learning method. This study aims to analyze in depth how the ice-breaking strategy is implemented and to examine its impact on student learning activity, especially in grade X. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative, which focuses on a detailed understanding of the process of implementing ice-breaking by teachers in the teaching of Aqidah Akhlak. Data was collected through observation techniques to directly observe learning activities, interviews with teachers and students to obtain their perspectives, and documentation to support the data. Data analysis was carried out by reducing the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions systematically. The results of the study revealed that ice breaking strategies were applied systematically and structurally by teachers, thereby creating a more interactive and enjoyable classroom atmosphere. The application of these strategies succeeded in increasing student participation, maintaining their concentration during lessons, and stimulating enthusiasm for learning. Thus, ice breaking proved to be an effective strategy in fostering student activity. Abstrak: Proses pembelajaran mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MAS Nurul Haq Semurup menunjukkan adanya upaya yang nyata dari guru untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menarik dan menyenangkan. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah penerapan strategi ice breaking sebagai bagian dari metode pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara mendalam bagaimana penerapan strategi ice breaking tersebut dilakukan serta mengkaji dampaknya terhadap keaktifan belajar siswa khususnya di kelas X. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif, yang berfokus pada pemahaman mendetail terhadap proses penerapan ice breaking yang telah dilakukan oleh guru dalam pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi untuk melihat secara langsung kegiatan pembelajaran, wawancara dengan guru dan siswa untuk mendapatkan perspektif mereka, serta dokumentasi sebagai pendukung data. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara sistematis. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa strategi ice breaking diterapkan secara sistematis dan terstruktur oleh guru sehingga mampu menciptakan suasana kelas yang lebih interaktif dan menyenangkan. Penerapan strategi ini berhasil meningkatkan partisipasi aktif siswa, menjaga konsentrasi mereka selama pelajaran, serta membangkitkan antusiasme belajar. Dengan demikian, ice breaking terbukti menjadi salah satu strategi yang efektif dalam menumbuhkan keaktifan belajar dan sekaligus meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MAS Nurul Haq Semurup.

Abstract

The diversity of psychological aspects of students, such as intelligence, emotions, creativity, motivation, attention, memory, language, talent, personality, and learning styles, plays a very significant role in the learning process. This article aims to comprehensively examine how these various psychological aspects influence the dynamics of learning and the final results achieved by students. Through a qualitative research approach with a literature study, this research systematically identifies the various psychological characteristics that cause differences in learning styles, patterns of interaction in the classroom, and responses to various teaching methods applied by teachers. The results of the study show that a deep understanding of these psychological diversities can help educators develop learning strategies that are more adaptive, effective, and tailored to the individual needs of students. Thus, these strategies can increase activity, motivation, and overall learning achievement. In addition, this article emphasizes the importance of applying individual and differentiated approaches in the learning process. Learning planning to optimally accommodate the unique needs of each student. This approach not only helps meet the unique needs of students, but also creates an inclusive, supportive, and conducive learning environment for balanced psychological well-being. The practical implications of these findings are directed at balancing learning models that are responsive to psychological aspects, which in turn can improve the quality of interaction between teachers and students and improve educational outcomes in a holistic, sustainable manner that has a positive impact on the overall development of students

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between motor skill completion and conceptual understanding in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning process at an elementary school (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah). The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Eight informants—four students and four teachers—were purposively selected based on initial findings regarding motor deficiencies through preliminary observations and the Developmental Coordination Disorder Questionnaire (DCDQ). Data collection techniques included semi-structured interviews, participant observation during Quranic recitation, memorization, and writing activities, as well as documentation studies in the form of student assignments and learning evaluation reports. Data validity was maintained through triangulation of sources, methods, and time, as well as member checking. The results showed that fine motor limitations impact the accuracy of Tajweed pronunciation, the ability to write tafsir (interpretation of the Quran), and neuromuscular coordination, ultimately affecting the tadabbur process and the devotion to learning. Meanwhile, incomplete gross motor skills cause students to easily become fatigued during group memorization activities and prayer practices, thus reducing spiritual motivation and the effectiveness of teacher role models. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman interactive model revealed a causal relationship between motor, cognitive, and spiritual aspects in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. These findings critique the view of religious education that separates the physical and spiritual dimensions and emphasize the importance of integrating motor development into memorization learning and worship practices. Research recommendations include conducting regular motor screenings, implementing therapeutic calligraphy exercises, using rhythmic prayer movements, and designing ergonomic classroom environments. This holistic approach is expected to improve overall Islamic Religious Education (PAI) understanding, support the formation of noble character, and have a lasting impact on students' lives.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of Islamic education and modern agriculture at MA Muhammadiyah 01 Tegalombo, highlighting how the school cultivates a holistic learning environment that harmonizes faith, knowledge, and practical skills in the era of Society 5.0. Employing a qualitative case study approach, the research was conducted in December 2025 through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving school leaders, teachers, and students. Findings reveal that this integration is not merely curricular but embedded as a living culture within the madrasah community. Agricultural activities become spiritual and moral education arenas that strengthen discipline, gratitude, and environmental responsibility. Teachers and leaders act as murabbi, guides who nurture intellect and character simultaneously. Despite technological and infrastructural limitations, the madrasah demonstrates how Islamic education can adapt dynamically to modernity while maintaining its spiritual essence. This study concludes that such integration fosters insan kamil, morally grounded, independent, and socially responsible individuals capable of facing global challenges with faith-driven innovation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji kelayakan media pembelajaran Fotonovela pada materi shalat fardhu untuk siswa kelas empat di SDN 47 Tongkonan, Kecamatan Bastem Utara, Kabupaten Luwu. Media Fotonovela dikembangkan sebagai alat pembelajaran inovatif yang menarik, interaktif, dan kontekstual untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang praktik shalat fardhu dalam pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D yang terdiri dari tahapan Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Fotonovela yang dikembangkan dianggap sangat cocok untuk digunakan. Penilaian oleh ahli materi pelajaran memperoleh persentase 92,85% dengan kategori sangat valid, sedangkan penilaian oleh ahli media memperoleh 82,69% dengan kategori valid. Hasil uji coba skala kecil terhadap respons siswa menunjukkan tingkat daya tarik sebesar 85,56% dalam kategori valid. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran Fotonovela dinyatakan sah, praktis, dan menarik untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif alternatif dalam meningkatkan efektivitas dan motivasi siswa dalam mempelajari materi shalat fardhu di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Character education is a fundamental element of the educational process because it plays a vital role in shaping students' superior personalities, not only on an intellectual level but also in the moral and spiritual dimensions. From an Islamic educational perspective, character education has a strategic position because it is oriented towards the internalisation of Islamic values ​​based on monotheism and noble morals. This study aims to analyse the concept of Islamic educational epistemology in the strategy of character building for students at the elementary school level, with a focus on the study at the Nurul Musthofa International Islamic Elementary School (SDII) in Klaten, and to examine the impact of its implementation on student character development. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Research data were obtained through direct interviews with teachers at SDII Nurul Musthofa in Klaten and supported by documentation studies from various relevant literature sources, such as books, journals, and scientific articles. The results of the study indicate that Islamic educational epistemology plays a significant role in shaping students' character through the implementation of school programs integrated with the values ​​of monotheism, moral development, and social responsibility. An educational environment built on these values ​​can create a conducive school culture and support the holistic development of student character. This research confirms that the application of the epistemological principles of Islamic education, particularly through role-modelling and habituation strategies, makes a significant contribution to student character development and has practical implications for Islamic educational institutions in building a values-based education system.

Abstract

The low level of students’ interest and understanding of zakat material is one of the challenges in Islamic Religious Education at the junior high school level. Zakat material is often perceived as difficult and tedious due to conventional teaching approaches and limited student interaction. This study aims to improve the interest and comprehension of Grade IX students in zakat material through the implementation of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model. This research was conducted as Classroom Action Research (CAR) in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection phases. The research subjects were 27 ninth-grade students. Data were collected through observation, learning interest questionnaires, and comprehension tests. In the pre-cycle, the students' average score was 63.63 with a mastery level of 33%. After implementing the Jigsaw model, the results in Cycle I showed an increase in the average score to 69.81 with 41% mastery, and in Cycle II it significantly increased to 78.70 with 100% mastery. Additionally, students showed increased participation, active engagement in group discussions, and enthusiasm toward learning zakat. The Jigsaw model encouraged students to take more responsibility in understanding the material since they were required to explain their assigned part to their peers. The study concludes that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model is effective in enhancing students’ interest and understanding of zakat material through an active, collaborative, and meaningful learning process.

Abstract

Arabic language education occupies a central position in Islamic primary education, not only as a medium for understanding religious texts but also as a foundation for Islamic intellectual and cultural formation. However, in many Islamic primary schools, particularly Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Arabic learning continues to face structural and pedagogical challenges that hinder its effectiveness. This article critically examines the role of Islamic education management in shaping the future of Arabic language learning in Islamic primary education. Using a critical-conceptual approach supported by relevant literature, the study argues that the sustainability and quality of Arabic education at the primary level are not merely pedagogical concerns but are deeply rooted in managerial orientations, institutional priorities, and governance practices. The article highlights key managerial issues, including curriculum governance, leadership vision, teacher development, and learning culture, and proposes a reorientation of Islamic education management toward a more strategic, integrated, and future-oriented framework. This study contributes to the discourse on Islamic education by positioning management as a decisive factor in revitalizing Arabic language learning in Islamic primary education.

Abstract

Learning concentration is a crucial prerequisite for students' academic success, yet attention degradation has become a serious challenge in the digital era. This study aims to analyze the influence of Quranic recitation habituation on the learning concentration of students in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Using a causal-associative quantitative approach, this research involved upper-grade students as samples selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through recitation habituation questionnaires, structured observations, and the Grid Concentration Test. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression and the coefficient of determination. The results indicated that the habituation of Quranic recitation significantly acts as a positive determinant of learning concentration. Neuro-pedagogically, consistent morning recitation is able to condition alpha brainwaves that support cognitive readiness. Furthermore, precision in Tajwid was found to correlate with students' attentional sharpness in understanding lesson instructions. This study recommends the implementation of routine recitation as an attention management strategy within the madrasah environment.

Abstract

Penilaianadalah kegiatan mengumpulkan informasi dari hasil belajar peserta didik. Penilaian hasil belajar secara umum dibagi menjadi tiga aspek; sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Pembahasan ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan scara teoritis mengenai teknik penilaian sikap, penilaian pengetahuan dan penilaian keterampilan. metode yang di gunakan dalam pembahasan ini adalah metode kajian pustaka. Metode ini menekankan pada buku teks sebagai sumber data dan kajian teoritis serta sebagai acuan panduan dalam menyelesaiakn penulisan ini. Hasil dari pembahasan ini menemukan bahwa Kriteria dalam penilaian sikap yang pertama, perilaku melibatkan perasaan dan emosi seseorang. Kedua, perilaku harus tipikal perilaku seseorang. Kriteria lain yang termasuk ranah afektif adalah intensitas, arah, dan target. Penilaian kompetensi pengetahuan atau kognitif adalah penilaian yang dilakukan guru untuk mengukur tingkat pencapaian atau penguasaan peserta didik dalam aspek pengetahuan yang meliputi ingatan atau hafalan, pemahaman, penerapan atau aplikasi, analisis, sintesis dan evaluasi. Cakupan penilaian dimensi keterampilan atau psikomotorik meliputi keterampilan dalam ranah konkret mencakup aktivitas menggunakan, mengurai, merangkai, memodifikasi, dan membuat.
