Abstract

Islamic education plays a significant role in shaping the character of students through effective management to integrate character development into the learning process. The study aims to examine character-based management in Islamic educational institutions. This research employs a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data were collected from scientific journals and books. The results show: (1) management is a series of planned actions from planning to evaluation. (2) character development is the process of combining values or components into something. (3) Islamic educational institutions are schools based on Islamic religion to shape religious students. (4) character development management in Islamic educational institutions is a framework for organizing and managing education, considering Islamic character development such as honesty, justice, and patience in the curriculum and classroom learning. Conclusion: character development management is able to shape students to become more Islamic in schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain and describe the role of the principal in improving the quality of human resources at Al-Ghafur Vocational High School in Sumenep. The research method used is qualitative through a case study. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that the principal's strategy in improving the quality of human resources includes the design and development of a curriculum that meets the needs of students, with a primary focus on HR management. The goal is for all school members to have a high spirit to advance the educational institution. Other strategic steps include regular performance monitoring and evaluation, as well as staff training and skills development. The principal also strives to build good relationships with the community through meetings with students' guardians, social activities, and school events. As an educational manager, the principal focuses on improving HR quality through regular planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and supervising. Factors such as effective leadership, a supportive organizational culture, clear policy implementation, technology development, and HR training also play important roles in improving HR quality.

Abstract

The study seeks to identify the approaches and factors, both supportive and hindering, utilized by teachers in fostering a compassionate ethos at MI Ash Shiddiqiyah. Employing qualitative descriptive research, the author draws upon school principals, teachers, and students as data sources. Data gathering methods encompass observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis involves the reduction of information, presentation of findings, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the teacher strategy used is implementing activities that must be carried out daily so that it becomes a habit, such as cleaning every morning, in addition to providing sufficient cleaning tools, providing insight into the importance of caring for environmental cleanliness which is integrated into the learning process, providing motivation. , appreciation, and good example by teachers. The supporting factor in forming this character is that teachers receive a lot of support from the school principal and the school committee. Apart from supporting factors, there are inhibiting factors in this process, namely the lack of availability of clean water supplies. The conclusion is that the strategies used by teachers are quite varied and continue to be implemented and even improved in protecting the environment.

Abstract

Management of facilities and infrastructure in schools is a crucial activity that greatly influences the success of the learning process. This research aims to understand the management of facilities and infrastructure in the learning process of group B1 at kindergarten 17 Teladan Sugar Factory Sumberharjo, Pemalang District. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a case study design. Primary data is obtained from the school principal, educators, and parents, while secondary data is gathered from relevant documents and records. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data processing involves reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Research findings indicate that planning: is conducted through discussions with teachers and parents, along with short, medium, and long-term school programs. Procurement: realized through funding from operational assistance and parental contributions. Arrangement: carried out by placing learning facilities according to the needs in classrooms and schoolyards. Utilization: is the responsibility of all school members, with routine maintenance every Friday. Disposal: This is done by storing damaged items or disposing of unused ones. Inhibiting factors include limited funds, lack of specialized management, and parental cooperation in fundraising. Supporting factors include committee involvement, financial support, and student numbers. Conclusion: facility management has been maximized, leading to quality learning outcomes.

Abstract

Students' religious behavior can be influenced by parental leadership style. When parents adopt an authoritarian leadership style, there may be a decrease in students' religious behavior. This research aims to describe the relationship between parental leadership style, students' religious behavior, and its impact. Conducted at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Wathoniyah1A Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, this research employs a descriptive quantitative method with correlation statistical analysis. From a population of 203 students, a sample of 50 students was taken, using a questionnaire for data collection. The analysis results indicate that both parental leadership style and students' academic achievement fall into the good category. The results also show a significant influence between parental leadership style and students' religious behavior, with a correlation coefficient of 0.787, exceeding the critical value of 0.250 at a significance level of 0.01. The obtained R2 of 0.705 indicates that parental leadership style influences students' religious behavior by 70.5%.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze curriculum management at Kulliyatul Mu'allimin Al Islamiyah in preparing quality teachers. The research method is qualitative, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that at the planning stage, the curriculum is designed based on the needs of Islamic education and labor market demands. The curriculum implementation involves innovative and participatory teaching methods, as well as the strengthening of the religious and professional competencies of teachers. Evaluations are conducted periodically to assess the effectiveness of the curriculum and teacher performance. Curriculum development is carried out by integrating feedback from evaluations and the latest developments in education and technology. This study concludes that the structured and adaptive curriculum management at Kulliyatul Mu'allimin Al-Islamiyah plays a significant role in preparing quality teachers who possess strong religious competencies and are capable of competing in the modern education landscape.

Abstract

Research aimed at explaining the enhancement of teachers' pedagogical competence through Information and Communication Technologies using qualitative methods with a literature review approach. Data was gathered through relevant literature to grasp the concepts, theories, and information and Communication Technologies practices in education. Data processing techniques involved data reduction, presentation, and triangulation of sources to validate research findings. The research results indicate that enhancing pedagogical competence through Information and Communication is crucial for optimizing learning. Teachers need to master learning management that considers individual student needs, designs and implements effective teaching methods and systematically evaluates learning outcomes. On the other hand, information and Communication Technologies encompass technologies such as computers, the internet, and audiovisual media that support communication and information distribution. Strategies to achieve these goals include teacher training to understand student characteristics in the technology era, developing technology-integrated curricula, and providing educational infrastructure that supports efficient access and communication.

Abstract

The percentage of teachers teaching outside their field is 22.1%, with an average UKG test score of only 40.71, indicating a significant lack of professionalism. This is attributed to inadequate education, motivation, and dedication to their work. This research aims to explain the school culture at SD Islam Al-Azhar 14 Semarang used to shape professional teachers. The study employs qualitative methods with a case study approach, gathering data through interviews with principals, teachers, staff, and students. Data processing involves condensation, data presentation, and conclusions. Data validity is ensured through triangulation of techniques and sources. Results show that the communication culture at SD Islam Al-Azhar 14 Semarang emphasizes teacher professionalism through a unique system to build solids working relationships and maintain a strong culture. Integrated management aligned with the school's vision and mission, along with continuously updated structured planning, reflects discipline in adherence to regulations. External collaboration, including foundation oversight of principals and support from parents, strengthens synergy among teachers, principals, and staff. Conclusion: The implemented school culture helps in shaping teacher professionalism.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning in the character building of students at Public Middle School 1 Percut Sei Tuan. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive type. The techniques used in the study are observation techniques, interviews, and documentation studies. The analysis techniques used: were data reduction, data visualization, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning in the formation of student character through habituation and role models from teachers, performing Dhuha prayers in congregation, and flag ceremony activities. 2) Supporting factors for the formation of student character include internal factors that come from within the individual himself. While external factors are the influence of society, educational regulations, integrated curriculum, evaluation of learning experiences, and parental guidance. Furthermore, inhibiting factors in the implementation of student character formation come from differences in students themselves, differences in backgrounds owned by students, some students whose parents are always at home, and also some students whose parents travel abroad to work.

Abstract

Damage to the education management system is often caused by ineffective school principal leadership. The success of educational institutions depends greatly on the ability of madrasa heads to carry out management functions such as planning, organizing, directing, and controlling. This research uses qualitative methods by collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation at State Islamic High School 3 Central Tapanuli. Next, the data was analyzed through the stages of reduction, analysis, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research identify several important points related to management at State Islamic High School 3 Central Tapanuli. First, analyze the role of school principals in improving institutional performance through good leadership. Second, strategic planning involving staff participation contributes to the establishment of clear educational goals. Third, optimal organization with a structured division of tasks increases coordination and operational efficiency. Fourth, inspirational guidance from the madrasa head motivates teachers and staff to contribute optimally. Lastly, regular control ensures that the quality of education is maintained through continuous evaluation and improvement. Overall, this research confirms that the success of educational institutions is highly dependent on the effective implementation of management functions.
