Abstract

This research explores the dynamics of corporate performance and governance in the context of globalization and fierce business competition. With a focus on the Spanish tourism sector and evaluating corporate governance in Latin America, the study uses a mixed approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis. The study aimed to understand the relationship between corporate performance and corporate governance by exploring the differences between family and non-family businesses. The research provides insight into how ownership, management, and governance practices can affect corporate performance through literature studies, return on capital analysis, and corporate governance evaluations. The results show that family businesses have unique dynamics involving emotional involvement and creativity, while good corporate governance is concerned with consistency of return on capital. Implications include a better understanding for organizational leaders in making investment decisions and sustainable business strategies. This research makes theoretical and practical contributions to understanding performance dynamics and corporate governance in global and local business contexts.

Abstract

Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is a serious medical condition that includes myocardial infarction and unstable angina. This study aimed to determine the factors that can predict mortality in ACS patients. This study used qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques in this study use literature study research methods obtained from Google Scholar. The data that has been collected in this study is then analyzed using three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results showed that Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) occurs because the coronary arteries experience the thickening of lipid plaques and can develop into Unstable Angina Pectoris (UAP), Non-ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (NSTEMI), or ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI). Risk factors involve age, sex, smoking, dyslipidemia, diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. Symptoms of Acute Myocardial Infarction (IMA) include chest pain, shortness of breath, and fatigue. Prognosis is influenced by treatment speed, left ventricular ejection fraction (FEVKi), and risk factors for comorbidities. Initial therapy of MONACO (Morphine, Oxygen, Nitrate, Aspirin, Clopidogrel/Ticagrelor) with statins. Administration of anticoagulants and reperfusion measures such as fibrinolysis or percutaneous coronary intervention (IKP) is important. Therapy options are adjusted to risk factors to improve prognosis.

Abstract

The provision of the Indonesia Smart Card-Independent College (KIP-KM) has been running since 2021. The current condition of KIP-KM is decreasing in numbers in almost all regions of Indonesia. Some universities still often change recipients and stop giving KIP-KM. Until now there is no information about the accuracy and success of the program, so there needs to be an academic study. This research aims to evaluate the implementation of providing KIP-KM to poor students in private universities under the guidance of LLDIKTI Region XII. XYZ University and ABC were chosen because these two universities are the largest private universities in LLDIKTI Region XII and have a large KIP-KM quota in Maluku. This research is qualitative research with analysis techniques Miles and Huberman (2014). Data collection using documentation and interviews. Data were analyzed using the CIPP evaluation model. The results showed that: 1) The KIP-KM program is contextually not entirely appropriate but has been successful; 2) The input is correct, but not yet fully successful; 3) The process is correct, but not yet fully successful; 4) Product-wise it is correct and successful.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of store atmosphere and baristas on customer loyalty, mediated by customer satisfaction as an intervening variable. The study was conducted with the hope of enhancing customer loyalty in coffee shops located in the city of Cirebon. Convenience sampling was employed in this study. The primary data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 115 consumers in coffee shops located in Cirebon city. The data was analysed using partial least squares (SEM-PLS) structural equation modelling with the Smart-PLS 3.0 application. The study's results indicate that the store's atmosphere has a positive impact on customer satisfaction and loyalty. Additionally, the barista variable was found to have a positive effect on customer satisfaction and loyalty. It was found that the customer satisfaction variable mediated the relationship between store atmosphere and baristas on customer loyalty. Achieving customer loyalty is not solely dependent on the store atmosphere and baristas. It is important to explore other variables that can contribute to this goal. Future researchers should investigate these variables further.

Abstract

Othman Yatim's research has provided a clear picture of the influence of Acehnese stones, which are so abundant in the Malaysian peninsula, but on the other hand, there is still a need to carry out a more in-depth comparative study regarding the existence of similar tombstones in Indonesia, especially on the island of Java. On the island of Java itself, the Sultanate of Banten is the only kingdom whose sultans or kings have used Batee Jirat Batu Aceh typology tombstones for generations, from the beginning to the end of the Sultanate. Therefore, comparative research was carried out on similar tombstones in Aceh, and then an analysis of the reconstruction of past relations between Aceh and Banten, as the Big Spice City, which also played a major role in the spread of Islam in Indonesia, was carried out.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze how the Quran influenced a number of figures or scientists who later changed their beliefs or beliefs, as well as trace the background of their lives that contributed to the change in outlook on life. This phenomenon is especially observed through the study of figures who have embraced Islam after studying the Quran, as recorded in the Converts rubric in the Republika Newspaper. The research methodology uses a socio-religious phenomenon approach with a focus on the critical interpretation of hermeneutics towards the lives of converts. The selected figures will be analyzed based on their life background, religious experience before embracing Islam, and how the Quran had a significant impact on their conversion. The results showed that the Quran has a tremendous influence on human life, both psychologically, intellectually, and socio-culturally. The beauty of the language of the Qur'an, its miracles, and satisfactory answers to life's problems are the main factors that stir the hearts of converts. Some characters choose Islam because of inner conflicts, questions related to religion, conflicts in family life, or because of shock at the reality of Muslims that do not conform to initial prejudices. The benefits of this research include strengthening the arguments of the mufassir regarding the miracles of the Quran, providing stronger motivation for Muslims to explore the study of the Quran, and presenting valuable lessons for Muslims regarding the closeness of the Quran to the human heart and life. This research is expected to provide deeper insight into how the Quran can be a driver of changes in people's beliefs and outlook on life.

Abstract

The support of the organization where individuals work influences employees' quality of life in government agencies. Employee-perceived organizational support (POS) has been proven in previous research to help reduce employee stress levels and emotional exhaustion during work. The influence of POS in government agencies in Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia shows similarities and differences. This research explores POS elements, namely Socio-emotional, Orientation towards organization and work, Behavioral outcomes, and Employee welfare, and its impact on government agencies in Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia. The author uses a qualitative literature study approach; this research reveals POS elements practiced in government agencies in Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia. The three countries theoretically use POS elements. However, in practice, their impact is very different, so the results of engagement and performance produced by employees are also different. The difference is that the POS implemented in Singapore and Thailand agencies contains a "behavior results" element, whereas in Indonesia, there is none. In Indonesia, nothing was found explicitly regarding the issue of cross-cultural citizenship behavior and employee withdrawal behavior. Furthermore, the POS measurement tool in the three countries uses the Survey of Perceived Organizational Support. The influence of POS fosters a positive work environment and can encourage employee satisfaction and work commitment. Therefore, agencies in Indonesia need to adapt it to increase employee engagement and performance

Abstract

Religion has been linked to mental health over the years, but its connection to persecutory ideation remains unclear. In this study, Nassarawa State University students' persecutory ideation is examined in relation to religious characteristics as predictors. A cross-sectional survey design was used in the study. In the study, a sample of 162 individuals was chosen at random from the student body. Both the independent and dependent variables were measured with three standardized tools. The use of multiple regression analysis was used to formulate and test two hypotheses. However, the researchers discovered that students' thoughts of being persecuted were jointly and significantly predicted by both hell anxiety and demonic conflict (F = 4.598, p=0.013, R2 = 0.105, r=0.325). Individually,  that demonic struggle had significant contributions to the prediction of persecutory ideation. (R2= 0.342, t=2.844; P < 0.05). Hell, anxiety did not significantly predict persecutory ideation. (R2= -0.043, t=-0.360; P > 0.05). These findings recommended that religious authorities consider. minimizing satanic and hell themes in their sermon and focusing on angels, heaven, forgiveness, and other positive concepts that promote a favorable perspective of God, thereby improving the mental health of its congregation. Additionally, psycho-spiritual therapy on the guidance of one's life by good supernatural beings like angels may assist in lessening religiously insured persecutory thinking.
