Abstract

This study aims to describe students' interest and writing ability using the Problem-Based Learning model combined with the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach. This research is a quantitative study. The sample consisted of all fifth-grade students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Maccini 1/1. Data were collected through tests and observations, and the results were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics through a t-test. Based on the average posttest results of interest and descriptive writing skills using the Problem-Based Learning model with the Teaching at the Right Level approach, the posttest scores were higher than the pretest scores. The research findings show that the average interest score of the control and experimental classes was 86.44 ≤ 93.27, and the average descriptive writing ability score of the control and experimental classes was 83.00 ≤ 95.18. After administering a written test to students, the average pretest score before implementing the model was 63.91%. Following the intervention, the average posttest score increased to 87.73%. Thus, the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model with the Teaching at the Right Level approach in Indonesian language learning had a positive effect on students' interest and descriptive writing skills

Abstract

Amid the rapid development of the digital era, technology has played a vital role in various aspects of life, including the education sector. This study aims to describe the utilization of a Learning Management System (LMS) and the implementation of several digital learning features namely e-modules, quizzes, and assessments in the teaching and learning process of economics in grade X of senior high school. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with observation, interviews, and documentation as data sources. The results of the study indicate that the e-module, quiz, and assessment features in the LMS can enhance student engagement, trengthen understanding of the material, and facilitate teachers in monitoring learning outcomes in real time. These three elements complement each other in creating effective, efficient, and adaptive economics learning aligned with advancements in educational tech .  It is recommended that future LMS development includes increased file upload capacity, optimized loading for large content files, and the provision of offlline access features to overcome network limitations.

Abstract

The transformation of Industry 4.0 has driven the integration of automation and the Internet of Things (IoT) in the manufacturing sector. IoT integration in production systems enables direct manipulation of processes and deeper monitoring of operational conditions, thereby reducing errors and increasing productivity. This study designs and implements an IoT-based monitoring system on a bottle cap assembly station by integrating the Mitsubishi FX5U-32MR/ES PLC and the Haiwell Cloud Box (eBOX-E). The system combines sensors for real-time monitoring, cloud-based remote control, and a SCADA Cloud interface accessible via both desktop web and Android devices. Functional testing of the six-page SCADA Cloud system demonstrated that all system components operated optimally (100% success rate) and were compatible across both desktop web and Android platforms without performance differences. The quality of data transmission using the tested 4G network was rated excellent based on QoS parameter evaluations. These findings indicate that the system enhances monitoring accuracy, reduces human error, and strengthens the role of IoT in boosting industrial productivity through more flexible real-time data access and control.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to evaluate and analyze various recommendation system methods that have been applied in the tourism industry, particularly in the city of Palembang. As many as 35 articles published between 2020 and 2025 were thoroughly reviewed using the systematic literature review (SLR) method. The research focuses on three main aspects, namely: the recommendation system approach methods used, the types of datasets utilized, and the evaluation metrics applied in tourism recommendation systems. The research results show that the Hybrid Filtering method, which combines Collaborative Filtering and Content-Based Filtering, consistently delivers the best performance in improving the accuracy and relevance of recommendations, and is effective in addressing the issues of cold-start and sparsity. The most commonly used datasets come from platforms such as TripAdvisor, Yelp, Foursquare, and OpenStreetMap, which provide user review data, geographical locations, and tourist activities. The evaluation of system performance heavily utilizes metrics such as Precision, Recall, F1-Score, MAE, and RMSE.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the digitalization of the administrative information service system for early childhood education in Rokan Hilir Regency. Using an exploratory qualitative approach, the research was conducted at the Department of Education and Culture of Rokan Hilir Regency through documentation, observation, and in-depth interviews with relevant informants. Data analysis referred to six main components of the information system, namely hardware, software, procedures, human resources, databases, as well as data networks and data communities. The results of the study show that the implementation of administrative digitalization for early childhood education in Rokan Hilir Regency still faces various obstacles. The availability of hardware and software is uneven, digitalization procedures have not been consistently applied, and human resource competencies need to be improved. In addition, digital database management remains limited due to infrastructure and human resource constraints, while internet access and participation in data communities are still suboptimal, especially in coastal and remote areas. Therefore, efforts to improve infrastructure, provide human resource training, and strengthen data communities are necessary to support the effective and equitable implementation of administrative digitalization in early childhood education institutions in Rokan Hilir Regency.

Abstract

This study compared eighth-grade students from Tanjungpinang's SMPN 7 (a public school) and SMP Muhammadiyah (a private school) during the 2024–2025 school year in order to examine the impact of family background on students' English-speaking abilities. 60 students' responses to structured questionnaires and speaking assessments were gathered using a quantitative comparative design. A rubric measuring fluency, accuracy, pronunciation, vocabulary, and coherence was used to evaluate speaking performance, and questionnaires examined parental education, income, home language environment, and English learning support. Students attending private schools typically came from families with higher socioeconomic status and educational attainment, according to descriptive statistics. With notable improvements in pronunciation and fluency, these students also performed better in speaking than their peers in public schools. Speaking scores for the two groups differed significantly, according to inferential analysis using an independent sample t-test. Additionally, correlation analysis showed that students' speaking abilities and family background factors specifically, parental education and the frequency of English use at home were positively correlated. The results showed that students' oral English proficiency was significantly shaped by their family background, and that this influence was stronger for students attending public schools with fewer institutional resources. In order to promote equitable language learning opportunities, the study emphasized the combined effects of the home and school environments on language development and the necessity of cooperation between educators, parents, and legislators.

Abstract

Masyarakat Manggarai memiliki kearifan lokal dalam penyelesaian sengketa yang dilakukan melalui musyawarah untuk mencapai mufakat, yang dalam tradisi setempat dikenal dengan istilah Lonto Leok. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan serta menganalisis pelaksanaan penyelesaian tindak pidana melalui mekanisme Lonto Leok oleh lembaga adat Manggarai, termasuk kedudukannya dalam kerangka hukum nasional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian hukum empiris dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi hukum, peraturan perundang-undangan, dan sejarah hukum. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa Lonto Leok merupakan mekanisme penyelesaian tindak pidana melalui peradilan adat yang mengedepankan nilai-nilai musyawarah dan mencerminkan kearifan lokal masyarakat Manggarai. Proses penyelesaian ini dilaksanakan oleh lembaga adat Manggarai yang terdiri dari para pemimpin adat atau tua adat yang memiliki kewenangan dalam pengambilan keputusan. Para tua adat yang terlibat dalam penyelesaian tindak pidana melalui Lonto Leok antara lain tu’a kilo, tu’a panga, dan tu’a gendang. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa penyelesaian tindak pidana melalui mekanisme Lonto Leok memperoleh pengakuan dan penghormatan dalam kerangka hukum nasional.

Abstract

Recommendation systems have become a crucial component in various digital platforms to enhance user experience by providing relevant product suggestions. This research aims to implement and analyze the Content-Based Filtering (CBF) algorithm in a product recommendation system using the MySQL database. The CBF algorithm works by recommending products similar to those already liked or purchased by the user based on the features of those products. In this context, features such as product category, brand, and text description are used to generate relevant recommendations. The implementation of this algorithm involves using Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to extract features from product descriptions stored in the database. The first phase of this research involves collecting and processing product data to ensure consistency and readiness for further analysis. Key features of each product are then extracted and their similarities calculated using the CBF algorithm. Subsequently, the recommendation results are tested and evaluated using performance metrics such as Precision and Recall to determine the system's effectiveness in providing relevant and beneficial recommendations to users. The research findings indicate that the CBF algorithm can provide fairly accurate and relevant product recommendations, enhancing user satisfaction by offering product choices that match their preferences. Performance evaluation also demonstrates that the system is effective in recognizing user preference patterns and providing useful suggestions. Additionally, the use of the MySQL database offers advantages in efficient data management and processing. With this recommendation system, it is expected to improve user satisfaction and engagement in the e-commerce platform. The use of CBF techniques enables the system to continually learn and adapt to user preferences, providing increasingly relevant recommendations over time.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of differentiated learning through guided inquiry model on problem-solving ability and science learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SD Negeri Borongkaramasa in Gowa Regency. This study is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were all fifth grade students of SD Gugus 5, Pallangga District, Gowa Regency in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research sample was fifth grade students of SDN Borongkaramasa with a random sampling technique. The data collection technique in this study was the test and documentation technique. This study was conducted by providing a pretest as an initial result before being given treatment and at the end of the meeting a posttest was given as a result of the treatment. Furthermore, the data obtained were analyzed using the SPSS v.28 application by looking for the results of the normality test, homogeneity test and Independent Sample t-Test to test the hypothesis. Research results (1) There is an influence of differentiated learning through guided inquiry model on the problem solving ability of science subjects of class V of Borongkaramasa Elementary School in Pallangga District, Gowa Regency. (2) There is an influence of differentiated learning through guided inquiry model on the learning outcomes of science subjects of class V of Borongkaramasa Elementary School in Pallangga District, Gowa Regency. (3) It can be concluded that there is an influence of differentiated learning through guided inquiry model on the problem solving ability and learning outcomes of science subjects of class V of Borongkaramasa Elementary School in Gowa Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate development strategies for sport tourism in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ), focusing on synergy with local communities in the villages of Kuta, Mertak, and Sengkol, Pujut District, Central Lombok. Despite Mandalika SEZ’s great potential through hosting international events such as MotoGP, the involvement of local communities in sport tourism activities remains limited. A qualitative approach was applied, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis employed SWOT and PESTEL frameworks, supported by triangulation to ensure data validity. The findings indicate that sustainable sport tourism development requires four key strategies: (1) collaboration between event organizers and local communities, (2) capacity building through training and digital promotion systems, (3) the formulation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for community involvement and partnership regulations, and (4) legal and economic protection for local stakeholders. These strategies are implemented through community asset mapping, needs-based training, the formation of communication forums, and participatory evaluation. This study contributes to the development of a participatory sport tourism model within a special economic zone framework, positioning local communities as active agents of development.
