Maalim Jurnal Pendidikan Islam adalah jurnal yang dikelola oleh Juruasan Pendidikan Agama Islam Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Ilmu Keguruan IAIN Ponorogo. Abstract

AbstrakArtikel ini membahas tentang kepemimpinan kiai di dua pondok pesantren di Kota Cirebon. Difokuskan pada sistem pemilihan kiai di pesantren, model kepemimpinan yang dikembangkan oleh kiai, efektifitasnya, dan peran kiai di masyarakat. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan di dua pesantren, ditemukan bahwa pola kepemimpinan di pesantren di Kota Cirebon berbeda. Pemilihan didasarkan pada diskusi, keturunan, dan penunjukan pemerintah. Namun secara umum sistem pemilihan pimpinan yang berkembang di pesantren-pesantren di Kota Cirebon diketahui bahwa ada dua, yaitu sistem musyawarah dan pengajuan; dan sistem keturunan (nasab). Dari kedua sistem pemilihan tersebut, tentu memiliki karakteristik serta nilai kelebihan dan kekurangannya masing-masing. Sedangkan tipe kepemimpinan yang dianut pada Pondok pesantren atau boarding school di Kota Cirebon mencakup dua tipe kepemimpinan, yaitu Kepemimpinan Paternalisitik dan Birokratik. Kedua tipe kepemimpinan tersebut sebenarnya tidak terlepas dari sistem pemilihan yang dilakukan.Kata Kunci : Pondok Pesantren, Boarding School, Kiai, Model Kepemimpinan

Abstract

This research reviews the problem of continuity in Islamic philosophy by focusing on the crucial role of philosophers as a bridge between tradition and innovation of thought. In facing the complexity of contemporary developments, Islamic philosophers are faced with the challenge of maintaining a rich intellectual heritage without sacrificing the ability to innovate. In this context, philosopher's manhaj is not only a method of intellectual research, but also a philosophical strategy for designing a balanced approach between maintaining traditional values ”‹”‹and responding to the demands of contemporary thought. This research uses a qualitative research method with a literature study approach. This research takes data from various sources such as books, academic journals, or online sources, to identify themes, patterns, and trends related to research questions or topics on the continuity of Islamic philosophy: the manhaj of philosophers as a bridge between tradition and innovation of thought. This research analyzes the traditional heritage in Islamic philosophical thought, the innovation and development of contemporary thought, and the continuity in contemporary challenges. In conclusion, the philosopher's manhaj is described as an important tool in maintaining the continuity of Islamic philosophy, helping to create relevant and ethical thinking for the present without losing its traditional roots.

Abstract

Human resources are an important aspect of exploring the philosophy of Islamic education. Human potential can be synthesized in the world of education, and its development leads to the realm of contemporary education. This makes human resources something that must be examined. To produce novelty in contemporary Islamic education. The data analysis technique uses a deductive descriptive method by examining various sources by synthesizing from general to specific. The results of this study are fitrah innate from birth in a holy manner, reason is a process of critical thinking power, qalb the last filter process of the thinking process in other words self-purity, nafs tendency to positive morals with proper and accurate control. Its development is through education, teaching, and ta'dib. While the relevance of human potential is to produce integrated scientific curriculum products.

Abstract

Islamic religious education today runs conventionally and traditionally. Teachers or educators only teach knowledge or theory to students, without actually appreciating the theory. This failure boils down to the reality that Islamic religious education only focuses on the knowledge (cognitive) aspect in the form of the growth of religious values and ignores other critical aspects. The conative and affective aspects of religious education are sometimes under-noticed. So that the piety of worship sometimes has less impact on the 'anal piety and social piety. The aim of this research is to formulate the development of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum with the content of Hikmah at-Tasyri'. This study employs a qualitative approach with a literature review as its research type. The research objects include primary and secondary literary sources. The findings of this research indicate that the content of Hikmah at-Tasyri' would be highly effective when implemented in the development of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum to shape students with strong character, instilling Islamic values, and enabling them to apply these principles in their daily lives.

Abstract

The article attempts to reveal the context of Islamic education in the dimension of Prince Diponegoro's meeting with Sunan Kalijaga, where research on the spiritual dimension of Prince Diponegoro is rarely found. This research is a literature study setting using a qualitative approach. The research results show that Prince Diponegoro's meeting with Sunan Kalijaga in the Tahannuts dimension was a moral message for the Prince to mobilize the Javanese people to expel the Dutch colonial invaders and fight for the establishment of Islam in Java. The Tahannuts dimension is a spiritual experience in the supernatural aspect, not the real aspect. He experienced this spiritual experience by practicing penance by contemplating, tafakkur, remembering Allah, and purifying himself of all despicable qualities. Research implications regarding the importance of purifying oneself as part of serving God. Research is expected to contribute to Islamic education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study, first, is to find out the values of emotional intelligence perspective of Daniel Goleman. Second, to know the integration of the values of emotional intelligence perspective of Daniel Goleman in the Qur'an. This type of research is literature research. Data are taken from various scientific literature sources such as books, journals, and various types of scientific papers relevant to research studies. Data collection techniques use documentation techniques, then analyzed with content analysis methods. The results of this study are: emotional intelligence according to Daniel Goleman includes five aspects, namely self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy and social skills. These five aspects cannot be possessed suddenly, but require a process in learning them and the environment has a great influence in shaping emotional intelligence. The Qur'an discusses these five aspects in detail and thoroughly as a guide for Muslims to guide them in living their daily lives. First, the aspect of self-awareness (QS. An-Nisaa: 1, QS. Al-Hashr: 18). Second, the aspect of self-regulation (QS. Ar-Rad: 28). Third, the motivation aspect (QS. Adz-Dzaariyat: 56, QS. Al-An'aam: 162, QS. Ar-Ra'd: 11, QS. Al-Qashash: 77, QS. Al-Maidah: 48). Fourth, the aspect of empathy (QS. Al-Balad: 17, QS. Maryam: 96, QS. An-Nisaa': 1). Fifth, aspects of social skills (QS. Al-Maa'idah: 2, QS. Ali-Imran: 103, QS. An-Nisaa: 59, QS. An-Nisa: 114).

Abstract

After the fall of the New Order in 1998, Indonesia experienced a major transformation in various aspects of life, one of which was the Islamic education system. The political changes and reforms that occurred had a significant influence on the way Islamic education was managed and developed. In this era of disruption triggered by technological advances, globalization, and Islamic educational institutions such as Islamic boarding schools and madrasas are facing unique and complex challenges. The research aims to understand Islamic education in Indonesia after the New Order and identify and evaluate the challenges faced by Islamic education institutions in the era of disruption. As well as knowing the role of Islamic educational institutions which remain relevant and effective in the modern context. The research method applied is a literature study by examining various literature sources. The results of this research are to improve the quality of Islamic education, equip students with optimal mastery of science and technology supported by a good religious and social mentality, and create a good and true generation of people. The era of disruption presents challenges to the digital divide, as well as the need to balance traditional values ”‹”‹and modern innovation.

Abstract

This article examines the discrimination of women in the education sector perpetuated through the ulama fatwa. The data were taken from the fatwas of Salafi ulama that discussed women's education, both collectively and individually. The structure of the fatwa text is then analyzed using critical discourse analysis at the macro, meso, and microstructural levels. The researcher concludes that Saudi Arabian Salafi scholars use fatwa to practice discriminating against women in education. In this context, the ulama decided (1) differences in the curriculum in girls' schools and boys' schools; (2) instructing women to take specific majors that are deemed appropriate to their nature; (3) prioritizing marriage for women over continuing their studies; (4) enough for women to receive education at the basic education level. The relation between the anti-equality ideology and patriarchal Arab culture influences the construction of ulama fatwas which tend to be discriminatory in women's education. Saudi Arabian Salafi clerics can freely produce and reproduce discriminatory discourse in women's education because Salafi clerics have the power to organize the domain of education in Saudi Arabia, especially before the beginning of the new Saudi Arabia era under the leadership of Muhammad bin Salman.

Abstract

The purpose of education cannot be separated from the role of a teacher, namely educating, guiding, teaching and training. With synergy between moral belief teachers and guidance and counseling teachers, students can overcome disciplinary behavior. The moral aqidah teacher has the role of providing an understanding of religious values, while the guidance and counseling teacher has the role of providing guidance and counseling services to students. This research aims to analyze the synergy of the moral aqidah teacher and guidance teacher in overcoming student disciplinary behavior at MAN 1 Ponorogo. Data collection was carried out using interviews, observation and documentation techniques. With the data analysis stage using the interactive model analysis technique of Milles, Huberman, and Saldana. Meanwhile, the technique for checking the validity of the data in this study uses triangulation techniques. Based on data analysis, it was found that the synergy between moral aqidah teachers and guidance and counseling teachers was well established, while the form of synergy that existed was establishing communication, coordination and cooperation in developing their respective roles to complement each other. Supporting factors come from the teacher and family environment while inhibiting factors come from the student's personality and friendship environment. With the role of moral belief teachers and guidance and counseling teachers, they can help overcome disciplinary behavior even though it is not yet completely perfect. Because there needs to be role and support from all teachers, staff, and employees at the Madrasah.

Abstract

Islamic thought experiences varied dynamics, ups and downs. The clash with Western civilization, which has dominated world civilization, has caused Muslims to rethink their understanding of their religion. Conservative, traditionalist styles of thinking began to be abandoned in the Postmodern era. The tendency to criticize the establishment, modernism and traditionalism is increasingly becoming symptomatic nowadays. To find out about an Islamic boarding school-based educational institution, it is necessary to know the direction of Islamic thought in the Postmodernism era so that we can also know the direction of the Islamic movement in facing this era, especially at the Darul Huda Mayak Ponorogo Islamic Boarding School . The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the analysis state that this Islamic boarding school is based on a classical system and is always innovative following the challenges of current developments, with the motto " Ala Nahjis Salafiyatil Haditsah" Pondok Darul Huda will be ready to compete in the field of educational advancement while still maintaining classical values which have proven to be strong any time and circumstances.
