Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the implementation of library facility maintenance at MI Ma’ariful Ulum, covering aspects of awareness-building, understanding, organization, implementation, and documentation. This study employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological research design, focusing on understanding experiences and real practices in library facility maintenance activities. The research subjects consisted of 13 people, including the principal, the vice principal for facilities and infrastructure, the librarian, teachers, and students. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation, while data analysis is conducted through stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with data validity tested using source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that the maintenance of library facilities has been carried out fairly well through habituation in maintaining cleanliness, providing understanding to school members, task distribution involving various parties, implementation of routine maintenance activities, and documentation through inventory books. However, maintenance activities are still relatively simple, not yet based on a preventive schedule, and the documentation system is still conducted manually. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a more structured system and utilize technology to improve the effectiveness of library facility maintenance

This study aims to analyze the implementation of educational quality management in improving teacher performance at SD Negeri 172 Palembang. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a field research design. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation, involving the principal and teachers as informants. The data analysis technique begins with data collection, data presentation, verification, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of educational quality management at SD Negeri 172 Palembang has been carried out through systematic stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. The application of quality management is also supported by a quality culture, academic supervision, and well-organized administrative systems. Teacher performance is categorized as fairly good, as indicated by the ability to plan, implement, and evaluate learning processes. However, there are still several obstacles such as limited facilities and suboptimal use of technology. The implementation of educational quality management has proven to have a positive impact on improving teacher performance, particularly in terms of professionalism, discipline, and learning quality. The limitation of this study lies in its scope, as it was conducted in only one school, so the results cannot yet be widely generalized. The recommendation is that the school should strengthen continuous evaluation, teacher training, and collaboration among school members so that the implementation of quality management becomes more effective in improving teacher performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using PhET simulation on students’ understanding of function graph concepts and their self-efficacy. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects consisted of two groups: an experimental group using PhET simulation and a control group using conventional learning, each consisting of 13 students. The research instruments included a conceptual understanding test and a self-efficacy questionnaire administered before and after the learning process. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including the Shapiro–Wilk test, Wilcoxon test, and Mann–Whitney test. The results showed that both groups experienced improvements in conceptual understanding and self-efficacy, with greater improvement observed in the experimental group. The Mann–Whitney test indicated a significant difference between the two groups in both conceptual understanding and self-efficacy (p < 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of PhET simulation is effective in improving students’ understanding of function graph concepts and their self-efficacy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of digital teaching modules, students’ perceptions, teachers’ readiness, as well as the availability of facilities and infrastructure in science and social studies (IPAS) learning at elementary schools. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical design. The study was conducted through fieldwork at UPT SDN 04 Jaho, UPTD SDN 05 Sarilamak, and UPT SDN 16 Pulau Karam. The research subjects consisted of teachers from the three schools and 20 third-grade students of UPTD SDN 05 Sarilamak. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, and then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results indicate that digital teaching modules are aligned with the curriculum and are able to present abstract material more concretely through visual media. Students’ perceptions of digital-based learning are generally positive, as reflected in increased interest, motivation, and engagement in learning. The use of digital media also encourages student independence. However, teachers’ readiness remains limited due to a lack of training and varying levels of digital competence. The availability of facilities and infrastructure is also inadequate, such as limited devices and internet access. Efforts that can be made include continuous training, provision of facilities, and the development of flexible offline-based modules.

Abstract

Low learning motivation in Mathematics is a persistent challenge in elementary schools, particularly those with limited digital infrastructure. This study aims to describe how digital teaching modules improve the learning motivation of fourth-grade students at SDN 08 Talamau, Pasaman Barat. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design, data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman interactive model, with validity ensured through source and technique triangulation. Findings indicate that prior to the intervention, learning was teacher-centered, constrained by limited teacher training since the COVID-19, scarce digital facilities, and recurring power outages. Following the contextual implementation of digital teaching modules, notable improvements were observed across three motivational indicators: attention became more sustained, interest increased as students spontaneously raised questions, and active participation grew through discussion and voluntary engagement. These findings demonstrate that context-sensitive digital teaching modules can serve as an effective strategy to strengthen Mathematics learning motivation in resource-limited elementary schools. This study is limited to a single school with a small sample, restricting generalizability. Future research should employ a mixed-method approach across multiple schools for more comprehensive evidence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze various obstacles in the implementation of e-modules in the Integrated Science (IPAS) subject, particularly on the topic of the human respiratory system in Grade V at MIS Kajai Talamau. The main focus of this study is to explore the gap between the potential of digital innovation and the reality of infrastructural constraints in elementary schools. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects include fifth-grade teachers and students, with data collection techniques consisting of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that although digital media has the potential to enhance learning motivation, its implementation still faces significant challenges. The main obstacles include psychological factors and teachers’ readiness in dealing with high administrative workloads, as well as students’ economic limitations and accessibility. In addition, the lack of technical support and the limited availability of high-quality digital resources constitute significant barriers to the effectiveness of e-modules. As a solution, this study recommends the need for equitable technology policies, intensive digital skills training for both teachers and students, the implementation of interactive learning, and the provision of digital resources to ensure equitable access to education across various regions in Indonesia

Abstract

This research focuses on the development of reading and writing modules, as well as the validity and effectiveness of using these modules for children who cannot yet read or write at primary school level. This R&D study developed an interactive module based on Self-Directed Learning (SDL) for pupils in Years 1–6 at MI Mambaul Hidayah. The research was conducted using the ADDIE model, with instruments including observation, interviews, and analysis via a Likert scale. This study produced a key finding: the design of the interactive module, which is structured according to students’ ability levels and features images, illustrations, and QR-code videos as hallmarks of the SDL approach. The results of the validation test by media and material validators indicated that the module is suitable with minor revisions. Based on the results of the pilot test of the interactive reading and writing module, 5 respondents in the small class stated they ‘strongly agreed’ at 96.7%, whilst in the large group pilot test, the percentage of positive student responses was 90.0%, with the breakdown being: Agree: 68.3%, Strongly Agree: 21.7%. This indicates that an interactive reading and writing module based on Self-Directed Learning can assist both students and teachers in addressing reading and writing difficulties at school. This research still has limitations in terms of wider dissemination as its implementation is currently confined to a single institution; it is recommended that further research be conducted through long-term trials, involving the development and refinement of advanced reading and writing modules
