Abstract

This study is grounded in the empirical phenomenon of declining learning motivation among Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) students, which has implications for suboptimal learning outcomes, particularly in the subject of Islamic Religious Education. Learning motivation is understood as an educational psychology construct that plays a crucial role in guiding students’ learning engagement across the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. This study aims to systematically examine the relationship between learning motivation and the learning outcomes of MTs students based on a synthesis of empirical findings from previous research. The method used is a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review design. Data were sourced from accredited national scientific journal articles as well as academic theses (undergraduate and master’s theses) spanning from 2020 to the present, collected via Google Scholar and university repositories. Analysis techniques included data reduction, thematic categorization, and interpretive synthesis to produce a systemic understanding. The results of the study indicate that learning motivation has a significant and determinative influence on variations in the learning outcomes of MTs students. Intrinsic motivation tends to be more consistent in supporting sustained academic achievement compared to extrinsic motivation, while also reinforcing the internalization of Islamic values. The study’s findings confirm that learning motivation is a central variable in optimizing learning outcomes, making its enhancement an essential prerequisite for pedagogical design at the MTs level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan membandingkan dimensi kesabaran profetik dalam QS. Al-Qalam ayat 48 berdasarkan perspektif tafsir klasik dan kontemporer. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian kepustakaan (library research) serta metode tafsir muqaran (komparatif). Sumber data primer berupa tafsir Jāmi‘ al-Bayān karya Al-Tabari dan Tafsir Al-Misbah karya M. Quraish Shihab, sedangkan data sekunder berasal dari literatur ilmiah mutakhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesabaran dalam QS. Al-Qalam ayat 48 merupakan konsep multidimensional yang mencakup aspek teologis, psikologis, dan sosial. Dalam perspektif Al-Tabari, kesabaran dimaknai sebagai kepatuhan total terhadap ketetapan Allah yang berfungsi sebagai stabilisasi iman dan ketahanan spiritual. Sementara itu, Quraish Shihab memaknai kesabaran secara kontekstual sebagai kemampuan pengendalian diri, adaptasi psikologis, serta strategi menghadapi dinamika sosial modern. Analisis komparatif menunjukkan adanya pergeseran epistemologis dari pendekatan normatif-teologis menuju kontekstual-transformatif. Namun demikian, kedua perspektif bersifat komplementer dan dapat disintesiskan menjadi model kesabaran profetik yang integratif. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kesabaran Qur’ani memiliki relevansi signifikan dalam membangun resiliensi individu dan harmoni sosial di tengah krisis modern

Abstract

This study aims to describe the methods used by teachers in supporting the early reading skills of Year 1 pupils at MI Muhammadiyah Klaseman, to identify the factors that support and hinder their implementation, and to explain the efforts made by teachers to overcome the obstacles that arise. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach and was conducted at MI Muhammadiyah Klaseman Gatak, Sukoharjo, during the 2025/2026 academic year. The research subjects were Year 1 teachers, with the headteacher and pupils serving as supporting informants. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data validity was tested using source and method triangulation, whilst data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research findings indicate that teachers apply the phonetic method, the Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS) method, and educational games in an integrated manner. Supporting factors include teacher consistency, the use of varied learning media, and institutional support. Hindering factors include differences in pupils’ initial abilities, time constraints, and a lack of support at home. Teachers overcame these obstacles through individual guidance, grouping based on ability, gradual repetition of material, and active communication with parents. This adaptive approach had a positive impact on the development of pupils’ early reading skills.

Abstract

Decision-making is a core managerial function that determines the direction of organizational policies and actions. This study aims to analyze the inhibiting factors in the decision-making process and formulate comprehensive strategies to overcome them. This study used a literature study method (library research) by searching scientific sources through the Google Scholar database and national journal repositories, selected based on the criteria of relevance, accreditation, and topic suitability. The results of the study indicate that obstacles to decision-making originate from internal factors, including bounded rationality, escalation of commitment, personal bias, time pressure, and uncertainty; as well as external factors, including rigid organizational structures, ineffective communication, inter-stakeholder conflict, and environmental uncertainty. To overcome these obstacles, organizations can implement data-driven information system strengthening, systematic decision models, collaborative participation, cognitive bias awareness training, decentralization of organizational structures, and effective time management. These findings confirm that the quality of decision-making can be significantly improved through an approach that integrates technical and managerial aspects simultaneously.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of interest in learning PJOK (Physical Education) for futsal among students in Year 8 at SMP Negeri 2 Pattallassang, Gowa Regency. The study used a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey method. The sample size was 28 students, selected using random sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire on learning motivation, which was designed based on the indicators of attention, interest, enjoyment, and involvement of students, with measurement using a Likert scale. Data collection was carried out by distributing the questionnaire to the respondents, and then analysed using descriptive statistics in the form of percentages with the help of SPSS version 29.0 and Microsoft Excel 2023. The results of the study showed that student interest was in the 'very low' category at 10%, 'low' at 17%, 'moderate' at 32%, 'good' at 39%, and 'very good' at 0%. Despite the presence of students with low learning motivation, the average score of 94.86 indicates that, in general, students' learning motivation for the futsal PJOK subject is in the good category. This finding implies that PE teachers need to maintain and improve their varied and engaging teaching strategies to ensure that students' learning motivation is more evenly distributed and improves, particularly among those who are still in the lower category.

Abstract

The management of education budgets is a key issue in the management of regional finances because it directly affects the equitable distribution of access to and quality of education. This study aims to analyse the regulatory framework for education funding, examine the allocation and implementation of education budgets in Surabaya based on previous research findings, identify the factors causing the discrepancy between planning and budget implementation, and formulate policy recommendations for improvement. This study uses a systematic literature review method to analyse 25 sources in the form of accredited journal articles, official government reports, audit results, and related regulations published between 2017 and 2025. Data were analysed using content analysis and narrative synthesis techniques. The results of the study show that while Surabaya consistently allocates more than 20% of its budget to education, there is still a significant gap between planning and implementation, particularly in capital spending and earmarked funds. This gap is influenced by the limited capacity of educational institutions to plan, the complexity of procurement procedures, delayed disbursement of funds, weak monitoring and evaluation systems, and external fiscal policy dynamics. This study emphasises the importance of strengthening the system for planning and controlling education spending in a coordinated manner

Abstract

This study aimed to enhance the mathematical efficacy of secondary school students through the implementation of the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual) learning model. The study used a quasi-experimental approach with a non-equivalent control group design, involving final-year students at SMA Negeri 1 Sedayu. The sample was determined using cluster random sampling and divided into one experimental group and one control group. Data on self-efficacy was collected using a validated questionnaire and analysed using a t-test. The results of the study showed that the SAVI learning model significantly increased self-efficacy in students compared to conventional learning (p = 0.020 < 0.05). The N-Gain value of 0.37 indicates an improvement in the moderate category for the experimental group. These findings suggest that SAVI learning, which integrates various learning modalities, is effective in building students' self-efficacy through active and collaborative learning experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of resistance band weight training on shooting speed in soccer games for students of MA Darussalam Patalassang, Sinjai Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method and a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were all students of MA Darussalam Patalassang, with a sample of 35 students selected according to research needs. Data collection was carried out through a shooting skills test measured using a stopwatch to see the speed before and after treatment. Data analysis techniques used include descriptive analysis, normality test, and hypothesis testing using the t-test. The results showed that there was a significant effect of resistance band weight training on increasing shooting speed in soccer games for students of MA Darussalam Patalassang, Sinjai Regency. Thus, resistance band training can be used as one of the training methods to improve students' shooting abilities in soccer games

Abstract

Social Studies learning in the eighth-grade curriculum at SMP Negeri 4 Kubung requires active participation and the ability of students to engage dynamically with social phenomena. However, traditional teaching methods still dominate, leading to a more passive approach among students, despite the availability of technological resources such as smartboards at school. This study aims to create a smartboard-based learning media to facilitate interactive and collaborative learning experiences for eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Kubung. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) methodology with the ADDIE model. This study focuses on class VIII.2 and social studies teachers. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, expert validation questionnaires for content, media, and language, and a practicality response survey. The results show that the developed smartboard-based learning media is categorized as highly valid based on expert assessments. The practicality test shows that both teachers and students consider the media very practical. The use of this media has been proven effective in increasing active participation and enthusiasm for learning among students through its interactive features. Future researchers are advised to develop similar smartboard media for other eighth-grade social studies materials such as social dynamics or globalization.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the motivation of young entrepreneurs experiencing fatherlessness, namely the physical and psychological absence of a father in their child's life. This study uses a qualitative approach with a narrative-biographical method to understand the subject's life experiences in depth. The subject of the study was a young entrepreneur experiencing fatherlessness, with additional informants from the immediate family. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth semi-structured interviews, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the subject's motivation is formed through intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation arises from the desire to improve the family's economic condition, achieve a better life, and become an independent individual. Meanwhile, extrinsic motivation is influenced by family support, the social environment, and work experience. The subject's fatherlessness is characterized by minimal attention, the absence of a father's role, and experiences of verbal and physical violence that result in trauma and low emotional closeness. However, the subject is able to build resilience so that these experiences actually become a driving force in achieving entrepreneurial success. This research shows that negative family experiences do not always have a destructive impact, but can be a source of motivation in achieving life goals
