Abstract

The environment is a global concern, including within Bunaken National Park. Safeguarding biodiversity is crucial for sustainable use. However, conservation efforts still face challenges. A significant threat to forest ecosystems is illegal logging, fragmentation, and forest conversion. This study aims to comprehend the local wisdom of the Bunaken National Park community concerning marine conservation. The study employs a qualitative research method with an ecological anthropology approach. Data were collected by means of interviews, observations, and document analysis from local communities. The findings reveal several significant points: Firstly, the community actively engages in the marine conservation process through a participatory approach. Despite the initial clash of interests between fishermen and the national park management, a mutual understanding was eventually reached regarding marine protection zones, encompassing core and utilization zones. Secondly, religious leaders wield a pivotal role in conservation endeavors. They interact with formal leaders and the community during worship, encouraging marine environment protection and community involvement in trash cleanup and preservation of mangrove trees. Thirdly, local wisdom, knowledge, and values persist in people's daily lives. Despite the religious shift from traditional beliefs to Christianity and Islam, certain values endure, such as the correlation between celestial bodies (moon and stars) and agricultural and fishing activities. Fourthly, the Navy contributes to marine conservation by offering close supervision, influencing changes in the mindset and behavior of the neighboring community to safeguard mangrove forests and marine habitats while diminishing the risk of wave-related disasters during high tides.

Abstract

Organizations and institutions serve as dynamic hubs where diverse backgrounds and perspectives converge. While individuals often establish deep connections, considering these places a second home. This study explores how personal diversity, technology, and organizational culture intersect in organizations, aiming to understand their impact on self-belonging and the overall culture. Through literature review and case analysis, we scrutinize the intricate relationships between personal diversity, technology, and culture. Effective management can alleviate challenges stemming from these dynamics, enhancing human resource conditions. Successful strategies embracing diversity and technology can positively influence these conditions. Although technology accelerates institutional development, cultural change is gradual. Effective management is crucial in bridging gaps between personal diversity, technology, and cultural continuity. Improved conditions foster self-belonging, enriching organizational culture. This research underscores the role of strategic management in harmonizing personal identities with organizational values, ultimately fostering an adaptive institutional culture.

Abstract

Work stress, often arising from factors such as heavy workloads, tight deadlines, and interpersonal conflicts, can negatively impact employees' mental and physical health, job satisfaction, and overall job performance. High levels of work stress can lead to decreased motivation, increased absenteeism, and reduced productivity, which can ultimately affect an organization's bottom line. On the other hand, job satisfaction is a measure of how content employees are with their work and the work environment. When employees are satisfied with their jobs, they tend to be more engaged, motivated, and committed to their tasks, leading to higher job performance and overall organizational success. Job satisfaction is influenced by various factors, including job security, recognition, work-life balance, and opportunities for growth and development. This study aims to determine the effects of work stress (X1) and job satisfaction (X2) on the performance (Y) of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk, Panakkukang Makassar Branch. The research type employed is descriptive quantitative. The study's population consists of all employees at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk, which includes 73 branches in Panakkukang Makassar. The sample size comprises 73 employees. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire. Data analysis involved simple regression analysis using SPSS Version 25 in 2023. The results indicate that work stress has no positive and significant effect on performance; when work stress increases, employee performance decreases, and vice versa. Conversely, job satisfaction has a positive and significant impact on performance. When individuals experience higher job satisfaction, it leads to improved performance.

Abstract

The low level of customer satisfaction at PT K.A generally arises because the quality of service provided is not in accordance with the expectations of railway customers. Low customer satisfaction will result in customers being reluctant to use rail transportation services. This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality and the online ticket purchasing system on customer satisfaction with Sribillah train services. The influence of the related variables, namely the quality of service and online ticket purchases, will be analyzed both partially and simultaneously on customer satisfaction. This study employs a quantitative research approach with an associative methodology. Sampling was done using purposive sampling techniques, involving 100 respondents as the research sample. Primary data for this study were obtained through the distribution of conventional questionnaires, and secondary data was gathered through a literature review. The analytical methods used include validity tests, classical assumption tests, reliability tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results of the research indicate that the service quality variable (X₁) and the online ticket purchasing system variable (X₂) both have a significant effect on customer satisfaction when considered separately. Furthermore, when these variables are considered together, they also have a significant impact on customer satisfaction. Based on the coefficient of determination test, there is a fairly strong relationship between service quality and online ticket purchases in influencing customer satisfaction, with an R value of 0.837. Through the adjusted R square, it is determined that service quality and online ticket purchases contribute to customer satisfaction by 31%.

Abstract

Consumer purchase decisions, whether to buy a product or not, are influenced by several key factors, including service quality, lifestyle, and price. This holds true for the current trend of increased ornamental plant purchases, particularly during the pandemic, which has notably boosted sales at the Madirsan Flower Tourism Village. This study's primary objectives were to assess the impact of price, service quality, and lifestyle on the purchasing decisions related to ornamental plants within the Madirsan Flower Tourism Village during the COVID-19 pandemic. Quantitative research methods were employed, with a sample of 100 respondents from the Medan and Deli Serdang regions, selected using the classical formula for sampling. Data were collected via questionnaires using the Likert scale, and the analysis involved instrument testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing through tools like MS Excel and SPSS 23. The findings of this research underscore that price, service quality, and lifestyle all play significant and positive roles in influencing purchasing decisions among the residents of Medan City and Deli Serdang. This suggests that businesses operating within the ornamental plant sector should consider these factors carefully to optimize their strategies, especially in the context of the ongoing pandemic.
