Abstract

The curriculum serves as a fundamental foundation in the development of education in Indonesia. Currently, the curriculum in Indonesia is transitioning from the 2013 Curriculum to the Merdeka Curriculum. This transition process requires the strategic role of the Head of Madrasah in supporting its implementation, namely as an Educator, Manager, Administrator, Supervisor, Leader, Innovator, and Motivator. Without these roles, the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah cannot proceed as expected, especially since Madrasah Ibtidaiyah has distinctive Islamic characteristics. This study employs a qualitative method with a case study approach conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Legowetan. Data collection techniques include interviews with the Head of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Legowetan, observation, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the role of the Head of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Legowetan has been actively carried out in accordance with its functions. Although various challenges were encountered in its implementation, these challenges did not become obstacles but rather served as drivers for the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Legowetan.

Abstract

Lomba Bersama PGMI (OMAMI), sebagai ajang kompetisi akademik yang bergengsi, diharapkan dapat menjadi wadah bagi siswa untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif, dan inovatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi mahasiswa PGMI terhadap perlombaan OMAMI dalam meningkatkan kreativitas untuk persiapan menjadi guru. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dari penelitian ini adalah melalui informan yaitu mahasiswa PGMI yang berpartisipasi dalam lomba OMAMI. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mencatat hasil wawancara dari pewawancara ke informan yang terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi dalam lomba OMAMI memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kreativitas mahasiswa dalam merancang pembelajaran yang inovatif. Mahasiswa mengungkapkan peningkatan ketrampilan dalam berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah dan kemampuan berkomunikasi. Selain itu, lomba ini juga berfungsi sebagai motivasi bagi mahasiswa untuk lebih aktif dalam kegiatan akademik dan pengembangan diri mereka sebagai calon guru.

Abstract

Inclusive education at SDN Cinunuk 01 faces the main challenge of the lack of special services and adequate support, including accompanying teachers and infrastructure. The purpose of this program is to ensure equal access to education for all students, including ABK. This qualitative descriptive research evaluates the effectiveness of the program through questionnaires, observations, and interviews, analyzing how effectively schools meet inclusion goals. Evaluation includes four aspects. The Context aspect examines the social conditions of students, special needs, and support for inclusion policies at the regional and national levels. Input focuses on school resources: facilities, teacher quality, and ABK special teaching materials. Process assesses the implementation of inclusive curriculum, teaching methods, and the involvement of parents and the community. Finally, Product measures academic achievement, participation in school activities, and socio-emotional development of ABK. The findings from these four aspects are expected to provide insight to formulate more effective and responsive education policies. Data will be the basis for schools and stakeholders to improve the quality of inclusive education services, including better provision of resources, teacher training, and more adaptive curriculum development. This research aims to increase awareness and active participation of parents and the community, create a better learning environment for all students, and develop an inclusive education model that can be adopted by other schools.

Abstract

Abstract The lecture method is one of the approaches widely used in the learning process at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This article aims to analyze the implementation and impact of using the lecture method in the context of education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This research employs a literature review approach by examining various relevant sources, including books, articles, and previous studies on the application of the lecture method in Islamic primary schools. The analysis results indicate that the lecture method can improve students' understanding of the material, although there are challenges regarding student engagement and creativity development. Therefore, this study recommends the need for variation in teaching methods to support the effectiveness of learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Abstract

Islamic character education in madrasah ibtidaiyah has a strategic role in forming a generation with noble character and adaptive to the challenges of the digital era. This research aims to analyze the concept, implementation, challenges, and strategies for strengthening Islamic character education in madrasah ibtidaiyah in the face of digital technology developments. This study uses a literature review method by utilizing various relevant latest references. The results of the study show that the concept of Islamic character education in madrasas is centered on the integration of Islamic values in the curriculum, madrasah culture, and learning activities. The implementation of Islamic character education is carried out through a holistic approach that involves teaching values, habituating behavior, and using digital technology. However, the main challenges faced are the lack of digital literacy, exposure to negative content, and limitations in the effective use of technology. To overcome this challenge, a strengthening strategy is needed in the form of collaboration between madrasas and parents through Islamic parenting programs, joint supervision, and effective communication. This research contributes to the development of literature on Islamic character education in the digital era and provides practical recommendations for madrasas to strengthen Islamic character education. With a comprehensive approach, madrasah ibtidaiyah can become an institution that is able to produce a generation with Islamic character who is resilient and responsive to the times.

Abstract

This study aims to develop independence-based learning management in improving student learning achievement. Using library research method with literature review approach in analyzing data and information about independence-based learning management in improving student learning achievement. The result of the research shows that the management of independence-based learning is implemented in ways: the first stage determines clear and specific learning objectives to improve student learning achievement, the second stage develops effective and efficient learning plans to achieve learning objectives, in the third stage uses digital technology to support the self-learning process in improving student learning achievement, the fourth stage guides and accompanies students in the self-learning process to ensure increased student learning achievement, in the fifth stage evaluates the self-learning process, and in the sixth stage develops strategies to improve student learning achievement. The findings of this study are expected to add insight to educators, and educational practitioners in developing independence-based learning management in improving student achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the effectiveness of digital technology integration in active learning strategies in primary schools and evaluate its impact on student engagement and achievement. In addition, it also explores the challenges teachers face in implementing digital technologies in the classroom. Through the analysis of several literatures and empirical studies, it was found that digital technologies such as video conferencing apps, online learning platforms and digital smartboards play a significant role in improving student interaction, engagement and learning outcomes. Although digital technology is capable of creating an interactive and flexible learning environment, challenges such as limited infrastructure and technology skills among teachers are still the main obstacles in its implementation. Therefore, this study suggests more equitable infrastructure support, continuous teacher training and education policies that ensure equitable access to technology across regions. Thus, technology-based active learning can be optimized to improve the quality of education in primary schools.

Abstract

The application of the reading guide learning model in the teaching and learning process in social studies learning is one effort to improve student learning outcomes. This research aims to improve the reading ability of class V MIN 2 West Aceh students, to determine the increase in student learning outcomes by implementing the reading guide model in the reading comprehension of class V MIN 2 West Aceh students. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects in this research were 33 students of class V MIN 2 West Aceh. The data collection techniques used are through observation, tests and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out using qualitative descriptive. Based on the research results, it shows that classical student learning outcomes in the pre-cycle were 12.12%, in the first cycle it increased to 57.57% and in the second cycle it increased further to 90.90%. Based on the results of observations of student activity in cycle I, it reached the sufficient category with a score of 76.92% and in cycle II it increased with a score of 94.23% in the very good category. So it can be concluded that the reading guide learning model can improve the reading comprehension abilities of class V MIN 2 West Aceh students in social studies learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation strategies in differentiated learning in science learning at SD UMP. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2023/2024 school year. Qualitative phenomenology is the type of approach chosen in this study. This study uses interview, observation, and documentation guidelines. The data analysis technique used in this study consists of three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study found things, namely the differentiated learning strategy in science learning has been carried out in essence, both from the planning, implementation, and evaluation strategies. The results of the study also show that there is an important role for the principal and teachers in ensuring that this differentiated learning strategy can run well and continue to be improved. Researchers can conclude from this study that the differentiated learning strategy in science learning starts from the planning stage by mapping student learning needs through diagnostic assessments which are used as the basis for teachers to design learning that is poured into the form of teaching modules. Furthermore, teachers in the implementation strategy include differentiation of content, process, product and learning environment. Differentiation here does not mean that teachers differentiate the entire learning for each student, but differentiation here means that teachers are able to create learning plans that accommodate students' learning needs and students feel comfortable in learning. The evaluation strategy for differentiated learning uses LKPD and test questions. Feedback is also provided to be used as reflection and evaluation material for teachers to design further learning.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to examine the nature of scientific attitudes through the implementation of the scientific approach among fourth-grade students in elementary schools. This research is of the survey research variety. The research was conducted from January to September of 2023. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students in primary schools with a population of all students in SDIT Samawi Bantul. The research sample was obtained through the implementation of a simple random sampling technique, encompassing a total of 54 grade IV students, including 22 male students and 32 female students. The present study will utilize questionnaire guidelines to collect pertinent data. The research instrument employed was a closed-ended questionnaire. The study employed two distinct approaches to data analysis: descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The analysis was conducted using SPSS 25. The findings of this study indicated that the character of scientific attitude can be cultivated in students enrolled in primary schools through the implementation of a scientific approach. The following characteristics are indicative of a scientific attitude: 1) environmental protection; 2) cooperation; 3) honesty; 4) curiosity; 5) creativity; and 6) critical thinking.
