Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan multimedia pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar membaca teks report. Multimedia pembelajaran berbantuan komputer yang berisi naskah materi pembelajaran, flowchart, storyboard, dan pengumpulan bahan-bahan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen, dimana teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes pemerolehan belajar dan angket motivasi belajar. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis terbukti bahwa :  (1) Hasil belajar siswa  dalam membaca text report menggunakan multimedia pembelajaran lebih baik dari pada tanpa menggunakan multimedia pembelajaran, (2). hasil belajar kelompok motivasi belajar tinggi pada siswa yang menggunakan multimedia pembelajaran lebih baik dari pada siswa kelompok motivasi belajar tinggi yang tidak menggunakan multimedia pembelajaran, (3) hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan multimedia pembelajaran kelompok motivasi rendah lebih baik dari pada siswa kelompok motivasi belajar rendah yang tidak mengunakan multimedia pembelajaran, (4) hasil belajar kelompok motivasi belajar tinggi lebih baik dari pada siswa kelompok motivasi belajar rendah. Kata Kunci : Multimedia Pembelajaran, Motivasi Belajar, Teks Report Abstract: The objectives of this researh was to know the influences of using the learning multimedia and learning motivation of students learning result of reading report text. Learning multimedia containing scripts of learning materials, flowcharts, and storyboards,and compiling materials.This reseach was the experiment research, the data collection technique through tests acquisition of learning and motivation questionnaire. Based on the results of hypothesis testing proved that: (1) Students learning result of reading text report using Multimedia is better than not using Multimedia, (2). Students learning result of reading text report for high group motivation is better than not using Multimedia, (3) Students learning result of reading text report for low group motivation is better than not using Multimedia, (4) Students learning result of reading text report for high group motivation is better than low group motivation. Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to describe the meaning of conversational implicature, the type of conversation implicatures and the form of conversational implicature. A short story of compass selection is the best short story written by famous writers and through the screening stage conducted by five jurors who have been competent in their field.This research method was a descriptive method. This research was qualitative using documentary study technique. Data in this research in the form of conversation sentences that contained conversational implicatures in a collection of short stories Kompas 2014 data sources in this study were short stories contained in a collection of Short Selection Kompas 2014.The results of this study got 41 conversational implicatures from 13 short stories contained figurative meanings, emotive meanings, affective meanings, and pictorial meanings. Figurative meaning consists of 26 meanings, emotive meaning consists of 5 meanings, affective meaning consisted of 8 meanings, and the meaning pictorial consists of 2 meanings. There were 3 forms of implicature sentences, ie news sentences, sentence, and sentence commands. The news sentence consists of 28 sentences, 13 sentence sentences, and a command sentence consisted of 6 sentences. There were two types of conversational implicatures namely, general conversational implicatures and special conversation implicatures.  Keywords: Conversation Implicature, Implicature Meaning, Implicature Type

Abstract

Abstract: The research was conducted to find out the effectiveness of comic strips to teach English reading comprehension on descriptive texts to Year-7 students of “SMPN 22 Pontianak” in Academic Year 2014/2015. The research method was a quasi-experimental research with one group as experimental group and another group as the control group. The subject of the research was class VIIB as experimental group and class VIIC as control group. The research data were collected by a test. Both groups were given pre-test and post-test to measure the students’ ability of reading comprehension. The data was analyzed by effect size formula. The obtained effect size was 0.61. It was larger than 0.51 but less than 1.00 and be categorized as moderate. Thus, the effectiveness of comic strip to teach English reading comprehension of descriptive texts to Year-7 students of “SMPN 22 Pontianak” in Academic Year 2014/2015 was moderate.   Key words: Comic Strips, Teaching Reading Comprehension, Descriptive Texts. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui efektivitas dari komik strip untuk mengajar pemahaman membaca bahasa Inggris pada teks deskriptif untuk siswa kelas tujuh "SMPN 22 Pontianak" di tahun ajaran akademik 2014/2015. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi-eksperimental dengan satu kelompok sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok lain sebagai kelompok kontrol. Subyek penelitian adalah kelas VIIB sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan VIIC kelas sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan tes. Kedua kelompok diberi pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur kemampuan siswa dari membaca pemahaman. Data dianalisis dengan rumus effect size. Effect size yang diperoleh adalah 0.61. Jumlah ini lebih besar dari 0.51 tetapi kurang dari 1.00 dan dikategorikan sebagai moderat atau sedang. Dengan demikian, efektivitas komik strip untuk mengajar pemahaman membaca bahasa Inggris pada teks deskriptif untuk siswa kelas tujuh "SMPN 22 Pontianak" tahun ajaran akademik 2014/2015 adalah moderat atau sedang.   Kata Kunci: Komik Strip, Mengajar Pemahaman Membaca, Teks deskriptif.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif dengan berorientasikan teori Van Hiele yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada materi dimensi tiga di kelas X SMA. Metode penelitian pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengadopsi prosedur pengembangan 4 tahap menurut Newby (2000), yaitu planning, instructional design, pengembangan, dan test. Populasi terukur dalam penelitian ini adalah guru matematika dan siswa kelas X tahun ajaran 2014/2015 di SMAN 1 Tekarang, SMAN 9 Pontianak, dan SMK SMTI Pontianak. Sampel yang diambil terdiri dari 36 siswa dan 2 guru SMAN 9 Pontianak, 35 siswa dan 3 guru SMAN 1 Tekarang, serta 36 siswa dan 1 guru SMK SMTI Pontianak. Produk yang dihasilkan berupa CD pembelajaran simulasi interaktif untuk materi dimensi tiga yang telah dinilai sangat layak oleh ahli dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil uji coba produk menunjukkan produk mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada materi dimensi tiga. Kata kunci: Media Pembelajaran Interaktif, Teori Van Hiele, Motivasi Belajar   Abstract: This study aims is to develop interactive learning media based on Van Hiele theory which can improve student learning motivation at three-dimensional subject in senior high school tenth grade. The method used in this research adopts 4 phase development procedure according to Newby (2000), were planning, instructional design, development, and test. Population measured in this study are math teachers and students in the 2014/2015 academic year tenth grade from SMAN 1 Tekarang, SMAN 9 Pontianak, and SMK SMTI Pontianak. Samples taken consisted of 36 students and 2 teachers from SMAN 9 Pontianak, 35 students and 3 teachers from SMAN 1 Tekarang, and 36 students and 1 teacher from SMK SMTI Pontianak. The product of this research is a CD interactive learning simulation for three-dimensional subject that have been rated highly qualified and valid by experts. Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh keinginan guru untuk memperbaiki kualitas pembelajarannya. Kualitas pembelajaran dapat ditentukan oleh aktivitas dan hasil belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas XB MAN 2 Pontianak pada materi tata nama senyawa sederhana melalui model kooperatif tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) berbantuan kartu domino kimia. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Sebanyak 41 orang siswa berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Lembar observasi dan tes hasil belajar digunakan sebagai instrumen penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan aktivitas memperhatikan, aktivitas lisan dan aktivitas menulis dari pra siklus ke siklus I berturut-turut sebesar 66,00%, 54,30%, dan 49,00%. Aktivitas memperhatikan, aktivitas lisan dan aktivitas menulis meningkat dari siklus I ke siklus II berturut-turut sebesar 2,50%, 6,70%, dan 14,20%. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan peningkatan terhadap hasil belajar dari pra siklus ke siklus I sebesar 44,00% dan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 9,36%. Kata kunci : Team Assisted Individualization, kartu domino kimia, tata nama senyawa sederhana, aktivitas, hasil belajar Abstract: This research was based on the teacher pretension to fix the qualities of learning. The learning qualities may be determined by learning activities and results. The objective of this research is to increase results and activities of learning on the students of  X b class of  Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (State Islamic High School) 2 Pontianak for simple compound nomenclature in cooperative mode of Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) with chemical domino. Class Action Research method was used in this analysis with 41 students as the responders. The research instruments are observation and test papers. The results showed the activities escalations on speaking and writing from pre-cycle to 1st cycle consecutively; 66.00%, 54.30% and 49.00%. The escalations were also monitored from 1st to 2nd cycle on 2.50%, 6.70% and 14.20%. These results also showed 44.00% escalation from pre to 1st cycle, and 9.36% from 1st to 2nd cycle. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mengetahui pengaruh  metode discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar memahami struktur teks cerpen siswa kelas VIIC SMP Kristen Immanuel 2 Sungai Raya. Bentuk penelitian adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian ini adalak kelas VIIC sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIID sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda berjumlah 20 soal. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen  15,8, sedangkan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas kontrol 14. Berdasarkan uji U Mann-Whitney dengan tarf signifikan  a = 5% menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan metode discovery learning dengan siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran saintifik. Nilai effect size yang diperoleh  sebesar 1,07 dengan lategori sedang dan  memberikan kontribusi sebesar 36,77% artinya metode discovery learning berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa.   Kata Kunci: pengaruh, discovery learning, pemahaman, struktur teks cerpen Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of discovery learning method for learning outcomes to understand the text structure of stories graders VIIC Immanuel Christian SMP 2 Sungai Raya. Form of research is a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. This research sample adalak VIIC class as a class experiment and VIID as the control class. Instruments used in the form of multiple choice tests are 20 questions. The average student learning outcomes experimental class of 15.8, while the average student learning outcomes control class 14. Based on the Mann-Whitney U test with significant and often aloof sphere a = 5% indicates that there is a difference between learning outcomes of the students taught using discovery learning methods with students who are taught using a model of scientific learning. Values obtained effect size of 1.07 with lategori medium and contributed 36.77% means that discovery learning methods influence on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

AbstractThe aims of this study is to probe student’s misconceptions about Newton’s laws used Individual Demonstration Interview (IDI) in mother tongue at SMP Negeri 1 Ketapang. This research formed as descriptive survey research that involving 15 studens as sample.  Purposive sampling was used in this study, samples were selected based on their learning acquisition that divided to be high, middle and low category. The Individual Demonstraton Interview’s interview guidelines used Malay Dialect Ketapang to describe student’s misconceptions. The analysis showed that students thought static obejct doesn’t have force, if there’s no force so the force resultan is nothing too, unmove object because of gravity and friction force, external force don’t effect to force resultan, car’s accelaration were more small becauce force‘s more small too, direction of friction force and tire’s car always opposite with car’s motion, displacement as reaction force while walking. Futhermore total student’s misconceptions on learning acquisition category high, middle and low is almost same. Abstract

Abstract The influence of the Student Team Achievement Division model on the learning outcomes of IPS students class V. This study aims to find out how big the influence of the Student Team Achievement Division  model on the results of IPS learning. The method used in this research is experimental method, with nonequivalen control group design. Collecting technique is measurement technique. Based on result of data analysis, the mean of learning result of student of experiment class equal to 83,85  while control class equal to 77,77. The result of hypothesis test (t-test) using t-test pollad variance was obtained tcount of 2,757 and ttable 1,677 (significance level (α) = 5% and dk = 51) showed that tcount is greater than ttable then Ha is accepted. From the calculation of Effect size, obtained 0.80 (medium criterion) This means talking stick model gives a high influence on the learning outcomes of third grade students of Elementary School 11 Pontianak City. Keywords: Influence, Model Student Team Achievement Division, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract       This study aims to: 1) Design the prescriptions of learning tasks that are contained in three-dimensional book media structure and cell functions. 2) Describe the three-dimensional book designing media techniques for cell structure and function. 3) Generate three-dimensional book media display of cell structure and function. 4) Know the acquisition of learning structure and cell function after using the media of three-dimensional book (Pop up book). This research type is research and development with quantitative approach. The research samples used random sampling technique in homogenous population in class XI MIPA 1, XI MIPA 2, XI MIPA 3, XI MIPA 4, XI MIPA 5, XI MIPA 6, XI MIPA 7, XI MIPA 8, and XI MIPA 9. Random sampling technique obtained by one class as research sample that is class XI MIPA 8 SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak. The results of the research are: 1) Learners become very helpful in understanding the concept of cell structure and function in the presence of learning scenarios that contain learning tasks that reflect the scientific approach stages; observing, questioning, collecting data, associating and communicating - as prescriptions of learning tasks. 2) The three-dimensional book is designed based on the learners' needs analysis aimed at solving learning problems. 3) The learners' enthusiasm in the study of cell material can be raised and motivated by a three-dimensional book view of cell structure and function. 4) The acquisition of learning the concept of cell structure and function increases as a result of the three-dimensional book. This can be seen from the results of t-test calculations. In the final stages of data analysis is the value of t arithmetic equal to -9.161 with Sig 0.000. Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to analyze the presence or absence of the effect of applying the model of Problem Based Learning for learning outcomes and analyze how much influence the Problem Based Learning on student learning outcomes in thematic learning in fourth grade Elementary School 39 Pontianak City. This study used an experimental method to formPre-Experimental Design kind of one group pretest-posttest design. The population around the fourth grade students of State Elementary School 39 Pontianak City which consists of 96 students,Sampling is purposive sampling technique, namely SDN 39 IVA class Pontianak City.Techniques used in the data collection is the measurement of the data collection tool that is used is an objective written test form. Based on the result the average pre-test students 67.75 and an average yield of 76.57 students' post-test. This suggests improving student learning outcomes in applying the model of problem-based learning. After the t test obtained t 8.83 while ttable with db = 28-1 = 27 and the significant level(= 5% is 1.703, it turns out t ≥ ttable or 8.83 ≥ 1,703, which means a significant influence on the application of the model Problem Based Learning. From the calculation of effect size (ES) ES obtained at 0.79 with a relatively high criteria. This means that the application of the Problem Based Learning provides high impact on student learning outcomes in thematic learning in fourth grade Elementary School 39 Pontianak City. Keywords: Effects, Model Problem Based Learning, learning outcomes, Thematic
