AbstractLearning activities are basically a process of communication between teacher and students. The teacher is able to pursue a predetermined tasks, the researcher conducted the research on the teacher's task in learning expressive language for children in class B1 at Taman Kanak-kanak Bruder, Pontianak. The teacher's tasks was carried out namely learning planning, learning implementation and learning evaluation, before the teacher did the learning, first the teacher did the planning namely preparing tools and materials after preparing the tools and materials the teacher did the implementation while the implementation of the teacher was telling stories, asking questions and giving assignments, after planning and implementing the teacher evaluates, the evaluation conducted by the teacher was to re-ask the learning that was done on that day and ask what the child experienced during the learning. The expressive language learning done by the teacher was to do question and answer, namely the child tells the teacher what they wants and asks something they wants to know. From the results of the study showed that before carrying out learning the teacher have been done the planning, implementation and evaluation, the learning conducted has shown that the teacher carries out expressive language learning by telling stories and asking questions.Key words: Early childhood, Expressive Language, Teacher’s task

Abstrak : Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana starategi kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan mutu dan penerapan kurikulum di MTs Negeri Sintang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Starategi yang ditempuh oleh kepala Madrasah Negeri Sintang untuk meningkatkan mutu dan penerapan kurikulum madrasah antara lain : (1) Memberikan arahan tentang pemahaman mutu dan penerapan kurikulum yang berorientasi pada peningkatan dan perubahan. (2) kebijakan dalam menetapkan perencanaan pengelolaan madrasah dan mengoptimalkan hubungan masyarakat dan dewan guru yang meliputi kegiatan silaturahmi rutin. (3) Mengefektifkan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler sebagai nilai jual lembaga adapun kegiatan tersebut Kata Kunci : Strategi, Mutu dan Penerapan Kurikulum  Abstract : Both headmaster is one component that plays an important role in improving the quality of education and quality-oriented sense of community among teachers. This study used a qualitative approach with case study design. The data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. Indications about the quality of the madrasah in MTs Sintang include (1) the development of the curriculum is done with a mix of approaches humannistik (learner-based curriculum) and the inquiry approach (problem-based curriculum) is supported by the local curriculum that is based on community needs. (2) humanistic approach or approaches that learner-centered learning is done with the goal of achieving a more holistic learning leads to life skills (live skills). Starategi taken by the heads of State Madrasah Sintang to improve the quality of Madrasah, among others: (1) Provide direction on understanding the quality of the madrasah eraglobalisasi future, oriented to the improvement and change. (2) policies and optimize the management and board of public relations and teacher covering routine gathering activities. AbstractThis research was done to know how the use of word wall as the media can improve students’ vocabulary on descriptive text especially on adjective words. This research is designed as a classroom action research on the second grade students of SMP LKIA Pontianak in academic year 2017/2018. The researcher used observation checklist, field notes, and test to collect data. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The result showed that the students’ vocabulary in each cycles has improved during their discussion and performance in applying each steps of word wall. The students discussed in a group in selecting the words, pictures were also functioned to help them finding the meaning of the words. The students interacted with each other to finish their work sheet. They gave and asked for opinions to each other in the process of selecting the words. The teacher also took a role in that process. Although, some students did not speak up, they still paid attention to their groups. When they performed their word wall, each student had their roles. The improvement of students’ vocabulary is also shown by mean score of the students’ tests. In the first cycle, the students’ mean score was 50.45 it increased to 76.02 in the second cycle. In conclusion, the findings confirmed that the use of word wall as a media can improve students’ vocabulary on descriptive text. Key words: Descriptive text, Vocabulary, Word wall

AbstractThis study aims to find out about, " multicultural values in VII G grade student in SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak. The problem is as follow : how is cultural awareness and sensitivity of VII G student in SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak ? how is the cultural tolerance and how to reasponsive grade .The porpose of this study was to determine cultural awareness and sensitivity,cultural tolerance and cultural responsive in clas VII G student in Negeri 2 Pontianak.this research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach.informants obtained through direct observation,interviews, and documentation..data validations used is triangulation,data soursece and time. Abstract Oral participation is inherently important in English classroom. The writer observed and found that the grade VIII students of SMP LKIA Pontianak, tended to be reticent when classroom discussion conducted. They chose to remain silent rather than participating actively in the discussion. This study aimed to investigate the reasons for students’ reticence in English classroom using case study method. The participants were three students from Class VIII of SMP LKIA Pontianak. The participants were chosen by the characteristics of reticence such as tending to be reluctant in responding teachers’ or other students’ questions, sitting at the middle/back rows, and rarely asking questions (rarely raising hand). Using direct observation and semi-structured interview, the study found that the main reasons of students’ reticence were anxiety, shyness, unfamiliarity with the topics/materials, low English proficiency, fear of making mistakes, lacking confidence in oneself, and being underprepared. Based on the findings, it showed that affective, individual, and psychological factors had a dominant influence on students’ reticence. Keywords: EFL Class, Students’ Reticence, Reasons..

Abstract The purpose of this research is to know the use of guided discovery learning in improvingstudent participation on accountancy computer lesson on class XI in SMKN 3 Pontianak. The method in this research is the experimental method with pre-experimental design. The population in this research is 157 students. The number of samples in this research is 40 students. Data collection techniques in this research are direct communication techniques(interview guidelines), indirect communication techniques (student participation observation sheets), and documentary study techniques (photos of student learning activities). The results of this research showed that there is an increase in student participation before and after the experiment as many as 7.75. This can be known from the correlation value of both variables is 0.933 with a significance value 0.000, so that Ha is accepted. The conclusion of this research is that there is an increase in student learning participation after using guided discovery learning. Keywords: Guided Discovery Learning, Learning Participation

AbstractThis study attempts to ascertain whether there are the influence and how big the influence of social competence they think of the motivation to study grader XI student of accounting of SMKN 7 Pontianak. The form of this research is quantitative research with the kind of research ex-post facto. Samples to this research is student of grade XI of accounting of SMKN 7 Pontianak the school year with the number of 64 student. A method of the sample collection too was Stratiffied Proportional Random Sampling. Data collected by the questionnaire that has been tested validity and reability. Data analysis technique that is used is the program SPSS volume.18. The result of this research shows that after do linear regression simple on the variables of x and y be said that competence social have a negative influence on the motivation to study the student with the regression equation is 23%. With do the hypothesis and obtained value significance of 0,000<0,05. So that it can be concluded that ( h0 ) will be rejected and (ha) were received which would mean there are the influence of social competence between “they think of the motivation to study students” Keywords: Social competence teachers, The motivation to study students

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan perbedaan hasil belajar dan kepercayaan diri siswa yang diajar dengan model ARIAS dan konvensional di kelas XI MIA SMAN 7 Pontianak tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen semu dengan rancangan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Tes yang digunakan adalah tes berupa soal esai. Berdasarkan analisis data, terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran ARIAS dan tanpa menggunakan model pembelajaran ARIAS. Hasil uji U-Mann Whitney diperoleh nilai Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000, hal ini menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa kelas XI MIA 3 dan XI MIA 4. Model ARIAS memberikan hasil effect size sebesar 1,58 tergolong kategori tinggi. Perbedaan kepercayaan diri siswa kelas eksperimen dan kontrol di uji dengan independent-test dan diperoleh hasil sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000, hal ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan kepercayaan diri siswa. Kata kunci : hasil belajar, kepercayaan diri, assurance relevance interest assessment satisfaction, hidrolisis garam Abstract: This research aims to determine the differences between learning students and self-confidence who are taught by the model of ARIAS and conventional, in grade XI MIA SMAN 7 Pontianak 2015/2016 school year. The form of the research that is used is a quasy experimental design with the design of the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The Test that is used is a test essay question. Based on the analysis of the data, there is a difference in the study between the students who were taught with the model of teaching ARIAS and without using the model of teaching ARIAS. Test results U-Mann Whitney obtained the value Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) of 0,000, this shows there is a difference in the study between the students of class XI MIA 3 and XI MIA 4. ARIAS Model provides the results of the effect size of 1.58 classified as high category. The difference of self-confidence grade experiment and control in test with independent-test and obtained the results of sig. (2-tailed) of 0,000, this shows the difference in the confidence of the students. AbstractThis research is motivated by the attentiveness of researchers to find out how the development of a child with autism develops before or after doing research. Researchers saw firsthand how the attitude of compliance with Wilson's autistic children in speaking skills, how to form eye contact with autistic children Wilson in speaking skills, and how to shape responses to commands and calls to people with autistic Wilson's speaking skills. The study directly observed ABK activities following therapy classes using the ABA method, as well as increasing the skills of autistic children.Based on data analysis in this study, it can be concluded: 1) The ability to read pictures of children with autism mental age of 6 years can be grouped into three, namely, the ability to read nouns, verbs and adjectives. 2) The ability of children to count for children with autism mental age of 6 years through pictorial card media can be grouped into three, namely, the ability to count, recognize numbers and sort numbers.. 3) Therapy for the ability to read pictures and children's abilities to count for children with autism, starting from preparation by preparing a room, preparing a number card, preparing an image card, ball and rooting and preparing the mental and psychological children to learn. Abstract The data of this study is the Dwilogi Surga Yang Tak Dirindukan by Asma Nadia. Data that was collected was analyzed by using a non-interactive analysis model with three steps, namely: (1) data reduction (2) data presentation (3) drawing conclusions or data verification. The results of this study are as follows (1) the role of femalecharacter as Ibu includes: as an educator, a nanny, supervisor an introducer to culture, a companion husbands, and as policy makers. Role as wife: as a housewife, and as a companion to husband. Role as worker: woman as writer, or an employee. (2) the role of woman in society: first, the character Ibu as a wife, a caregiver, and a supervisor of child development. Second: wife's attitude as the manager of the household, wife's attitude as husband's companion, wife's attitude as husband's companion, wife's attitude as a member of the community. (3) the image of a female figure named Arini is a strong, kind, gentle woman always fighting for the happiness of her children. The image of Mei Rose, an orphaned woman who lives with her aunt, her life is hard and she experience many things in her life that teach her how to be a strong and independent woman.
