Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the students? mathematical problem solving at Junior High School in academic year 2017/2018. The method used in this research is descriptive method with survey research form. Subjects in this research were students at SMP Negeri 22 Pontianak class VIIID with a number of 29 students. Data collection techniques used were test and interviews. The results of the data analysis showed that students' mathematical problem solving ability were varied, some students were in the high category while the others were in low or medium category. However, generally the students' ability to identifies the elements that were known, asked, and the extent of the required elements were on the medium category (63.45%); to formulate a mathematical problem or to compile a mathematical model were on the low category (48.97%); to apply strategies in solving the problems were on the low category (44,83%); and to explain or interpret the results of problem solving elements on the low category (26.21%).Keywords : Mathematical Problem Solving, Factorization of Quadratic Equations

Abstract

AbstractThe nine-year compulsory program programmed by the government is a continuation of previous educational programs. The goal is to provide the basic right for the community to obtain educational services. To achieve that goal one of the factors that determine its success is the presence of family participation on education. Related to that, the researcher conducted a study at SMP Negeri 1 Salatiga Kabupaten Sambas. Research questions are directed to: How aspirations, expectation, planning and implementation, as well as barriers to the program of increasing family participation in the framework of 9-year compulsory education at SMP Negeri 1 Salatiga Kabupaten Sambas. To express the question the researcher uses a qualitative research approach type of case study research. To gather data and information from informants, researchers used observation, interviews, and document studies in the process of collecting research data. The results revealed that; The aspirations of the family are generally good, the expectation / success of the essence is very high, the planning is done early in the inhibiting factors such as low economic condition of the parents and the pattern of life that has not changed.        Kata kunci: Partisipasi, Pendidikan, Wajib Belajar 9 Tahun

Abstract

AbstractThe problem in this research is "Whether the use of audio media in learning can improve the listening skills of students in grade V of Elementary School 09 Pontianak North". Using descriptive method. Class Action Research Forms. Collaborative. Research subjects are teachers as researchers and students of class V, amounting to 28 people. Setting in class. Using the direct observation technique, the data collection tool of the observation sheet. Score data of teacher's ability to design and implement learning listening skills using children's audio story media as well as improvement of listening skill of class V students. The research was conducted 3 cycles, each cycle 1 meeting. The results achieved in this study the ability of teachers to design the learning cycle with an average score of 3.14, cycle II 3.42, cycle III 3.72. The ability of teachers to implement learning cycle I average 2.64, cycle II 3.62, cycle III 3.77. The listening skill of the learner of cycle I was average 72,39, cycle II 80,61, cycle III 82,96. The use of children's audio media stories can improve the listening skills of learners, so that both are used in learning, especially Indonesian aspects of listening. Keywords: Listening Skills, Audio Media, Children's Stories

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the social integration of multiethnic communities in a functional structural perspective in Durian Village, Sungai Ambawang District. The research method used is descriptive in the form of qualitative research. The source of this research data is obtained by observation, interview and documentation. The results showed that the process of social integration of multiethnic communities occurred because of the existence of individual sociolinguistic abilities, ethnorelativism attitudes, mechanisms for problem solving, especially persuasively and the application of customary sanctions and the strength of local leadership. Meanwhile, the results of social integration are the creation of social stability because of the acculturation of local wisdom values and the development of a high sense of tolerance resulting in inter-ethnic cooperation and interdependence. Keywords: Social Integration, Multicultural Society, Structural Functional

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the ability of teachers in planning, implementing learning, and student learning outcomes in learning Citizenship Education by using cooperative type of talking stick model in class V SD Negeri 14 Pontianak Selatan. This research uses descriptive method with research form that is class action and is collaborative. Subjects in this study were teachers, collaborators, and grade V students, amounting to 35 students consisting of 16 men and 19 women. The technique used is direct observation technique and document scrutiny technique with data collecting tool that is observation sheet and document observation sheet. Data presentation techniques are tables and data analysis to find the teacher ability score in planning and implementing learning and improvement of learning outcomes of Citizenship Education. The results of the study were as follows: (1) the ability of the teacher to plan the learning in the first cycle of meeting I was 2.96, the first cycle of meeting II was 3.70, while the second cycle of meeting I was 3.72, the second cycle of meeting II was 3.87 ( 2) the ability of teachers in implementing learning in the first cycle of meeting I is 2.74, cycle I meeting II is 3.52, while cycle II of meeting I is 3.70, cycle II meeting II is 3.85. (3) The result of study at cycle I meeting I is 64,29, cycle I meeting II is 71,76 whereas cycle II meeting I is 76,67, cycle II meeting II is 83,08. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the ability of teachers in planning, implementing, and learning outcomes of students in learning Citizenship Education by using the model of cooperative type talking Stick. Keywords: Improved, type of talking stick model,learning outcomes, civic education learning.

Abstract

AbstractThe title of this research is "Social Control by Teachers on Students Who Aggression in Haruniya junior high school East Pontianak”. The problem in this study is how social control by teachers on student who aggression in Haruniya junior high school East Pontianak with sub-problem is how social control by teachers to students who aggression through socialization and punishment at Haruniya Junior High School. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods. The data collection tool uses observation guidelines, interview guidelines and documentation studies. The results of the study show (1) preventive social control by the teacher on students who behave aggressively through socialization actions have been carried out by the teacher well, it is evident that the teacher always provides motivation, advice, patience, discipline, and reminds about school discipline (2) refresive social control by teachers to students who behave aggressively through punitive actions still not good because some teachers still apply negative penalties such as physical punishment, scolding and yelling at students. But, some teachers apply positive penalties such as doing assignments, writing, compliments and calling parents.Keywords: Social Control, Aggression Behavior, Socialization and Punishment

Abstract

Abstract: This study was to find out the extent to which task-based language teaching is applicable and influenced classroom practices and students? performance. The study recorded the implementation of task-based language teaching in order to find the improvement in the teaching learning process, including students? improvement in speaking skills. The data were gathered from classroom observations and interview. The analysis showed how TBLT framework gave an improvement in teaching learning process. It provided exposures, opportunities to use the language, and prudence feedback as well as motivation to help the teacher managing classroom interaction and maximizing opportunities for students to put their limited language to genuine use. It also enabled the students to experience the language; they made noticeable progress in their language learning, gaining the confidence to express themselves more fluently in speaking. In short, this study showed that has TBLT promoted students active participation in the activities with more opportunities to display their thinking through action which in turn increased their positive attitude for language learning. Key words: Task-Based Language Teaching, exposure, speaking.    Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengajaran bahasa berbasis tugas dapat mempengaruhi proses belajar mengajar dan kinerja siswa. Data diperoleh dari observasi kelas dan wawancara. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penerapan TBLT memberikan perbaikan dalam proses belajar mengajar. Adanya eksposur, kesempatan untuk menggunakan bahasa, dan umpan balik serta motivasi dapat membantu guru mengelola interaksi kelas dan memaksimalkan kesempatan bagi siswa untuk bereksperimen dengan bahasa. Hal ini juga memungkinkan siswa untuk lebih percaya diri sehingga dapat mengekspresikan diri lebih lancar dalam berbicara. Singkatnya, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengajaran bahasa berbasis tugas dapat menumbuhkan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam kegiatan dengan belajar dan meningkatkan sikap positif mereka untuk belajar bahasa. Abstract

AbstractThe background of this study was the lack of information about accurate documentation in the form of Jepin Silat dance structure. This study aims to describe the motion, supporting elements, and design of the implementation of Jepin Silat dance. this study uses descriptive methods with qualitative forms and choreographic approaches. The source of the data that researches colleted is the results of interviews and the results of documenttation techniques. The technique of testing the validity of the data the researcher uses persistence of observation, triangulation of sources and techniques. Steps of data analysis techniques used  in the form of data reduction, data display, and verification. There are 3 resource persons namely, Mrs Anisah (traditional art performer), Mrs Dewi Astuti (traditional art performer), and Mrs Marlinda (tradtional art performer). There are several kinds of motion, namely variance 1, variety 2, and variety 3. Supporting ements in fashion are clothes kurong, gill pattern, obi and pants. The make up used is realist make up. Musical instruments used are violin, aqordion, and segment. This dance venue can be displayed on the ground, stage or on the page. This research can be implemented in high school (SMA), in learning art and culture in class Xl.Keywords: structure of dance presentation, Jepin Silat dance

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media komik terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak pada materi tata nama senyawa kimia. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Eksperimental Design dengan rancangan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XA dan XB yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan analisis data posttest menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney, diperoleh nilai Sig. sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 artinya terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang belajar menggunakan media komik dengan siswa yang belajar tanpa menggunakan media komik. Penggunaan media komik memberikan pengaruh sebesar 27,04% terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi tata nama senyawa kimia.   Kata Kunci: Media Komik, Tata Nama Senyawa   Abstract: This research was conducted to know the effect using media of comic toward learning outcomes tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak in the material chemical compounds nomenclature. Type of research is a Quasi-Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The samples were determined using purposive sampling technique. Based on the posttest data analysis using the Mann-Whitney test, Sig values obtained at 0.000 < 0.05 that means there are differences in learning outcomes between students who learn to use media of comic with students who learn without using media of comic. Comic give effect by 27.04% to increase learning outcomes of student in the material chemical compounds nomenclature.   Keyword: Comic Media, Learning Outcomes, Chemical Nomenclature

Abstract

Abstract       This research was motivated by the interest to know the acts of speech contained in the role play of students of class X Pm 2 SMK Kristen Immanuel II.A common problem in this research is how does the act of speech negotiation play the role of students of class X Pm 2 SMK Kristen Immanuel II? The subproblems are: how does speech act locution, ilokusi, and perlokusi.The method used in this research is descriptive method. This form of research is qualitative. The research data was collected by using the technique of referring. The data is listened by using the help of recorder and recorder. Meanwhile, the analysis of data used is through the criteria of the form of speech acts. Sources of data in this study is the act of speech negotiation play the role of class X students of SMK Kristen Immanuel II. Based on the data of this research, it is concluded that the act of speech contained in playing the role of the negotiation of the students of class X Pm 2 SMK Kristen Immanuel II is the act of speech of locusi, ilokusi, and perlokusi.Keywords: speech acting act, illocution, and perlocution.
