Abstract

Abstract: The main goal of this study was to improve student’s activity and achievement of reaction rate Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model. A two cycles of classroom action research was conducted. A total of 30 science class students of SMAN 1 Jawai participated in this study. Achievement test, observation sheet, and interview guidelines were used to collect data. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Students would be identified to have improvement  on visual, and verbal activity and achievement when they obtained score of 75, 25 and 60 respectively. The result showed that students have pass grade point do to the improvements they made. Those improvements were improve on visual activity from 56,6% to 76,6%, verbal activity from 10% to 26,6% and achievement from 23,3% to 83,3% respectively.  Those result indicated that the cooperative learning model type TAI give an positive effect toward student learning activity and achievetment.Keywords: Team Assisted Individualization (TAI), reaction rate, activity and learning outcomes.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is aimed at improving the eighth- grade students of SMP N 2 Pontianak speaking ability in Academic Year 2017/2018. This research used English video conversation "asking and giving opinion" in teaching speaking. The method of the research was the classroom action research, which consisted of 2 cycles. The subject of this research was the students of class 8F of SMP N 2 Pontianak in academic year 2017/2018. The result of this research showed that the students? speaking ability in each cycle has improved during their activity in the asking and giving opinion. The technique of data collection in this research  observation. The tools of data collection are a recorder, a observation checklist, and a field note. The result of data analysis showed that the students' speaking ability improved after the process the teachers drilling the students' pronunciation continuously and applying vocabulary practice using English video conversation "asking and giving opinion". Keywords: English Vide Conversation ?Asking and Giving Opinion?,Speaking, Classroom Action Research

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kualitas butir soal ulangan umum Bahasa Indonesia kelas XI semester 1. Kualitas soal yang dimaksud yaitu ditinjau dari validitas isi, tingkat kesukaran, dan bahasa soal. Ditinjau dari validitas isi terdapat sepuluh soal yang tidak valid atau 25% yaitu butir soal 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, dan 14. Hasil perhitungan indeks kesukaran diperoleh enam soal atau 15% termasuk kategori sukar, tiga belas soal atau 32, 5% termasuk kategori sedang, dan dua puluh satu soal atau 52, 5%  termasuk kategori mudah. Dari hasil analisis bahasa diketahui terdapat satu kalimat soal yang tidak komunikatif yaitu soal nomor 23, enam teks bacaan yang tidak komunikatif yaitu teks bacaan untuk soal nomor 1—3, 11 & 12, 15, 16, 19, dan 23, satu teks tidak benar secara gramatikal yaitu soal nomor 23, dan terdapat satu teks yang tidak menggunakan kosakata baku. Secara umum bahasa soal sudah baik namun masih perlu diperbaiki, baik itu pilihan kata, pengetikan, maupun struktur kalimat.   Kata Kunci: Kualitas Butir Soal, Ulangan Umum   Abstrac: This study aimed to describe the quality of items Indonesian general tests semester of classes XI 1. The quality problem is that in terms of the validity of the content, level of difficulty, and language problems. The method used is descriptive method with a form of qualitative and quantitative research. Judging from the content validity there are ten questions that are invalid or 25%, items 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12,13, and 14. The results of the calculation of the index above difficulties, there are four questions, or 15% including difficult categories, fourteen matter or 35% including the medium category, and twenty-matter or 50% including the easy category. From the analysis of an unknown language, there is one sentence that is a matter that is not communicative about the number 23, six reading text reading text that is not communicative to Question 1-3, 11 & 12, 15, 16, 19, and 23, the text is not correct grammatically namely about the number 23, and there is a text that does not use the standard vocabulary. In general, the language question has been good but still need to be improved both the choice of words, typing, as well as the composition of structure.    1 Keywords: Quality Items, General Tests

Abstract

AbstractThe role of slogans in presenting snacks is hoped to help consumers in always remembering the brand of the offered product. Slogans with good quality requires high creativity, because slogans require correct dictions and must be interesting. The purpose of this research is to find the language style used in snacks slogans and finding out the purpose of said slogans. This research is a qualitative descriptive research, by following the steps of collecting, sorting, clarifying, analyzing, and concluding. This research is a descriptive research because of the data obtained cannot be put to numbers. The finding of this research shows that the slogans that are found in snacks have the language style of hyperbole, metaphor, repetitive, and denotative meaning. Therefore, in one advertisement not only one style is found, multiple language styles can be found, this give the effect of reinforcement of meaning in influencing the interest of a snack product by using hyperbole and metaphor.Keywords: slogan, snack, language style, pontianak

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar servis forehand melalui gaya mengajar divergen pada siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode deskriftif kuantitatif dengan teknik persentase. Berdasarkan data hasil tes melakukan servis forehand tenis meja diketahui nilai siswa tuntas 80% sehingga dalam kriteria baik. Ada perbedaan antara tes siklus 2 dengan tes siklus 1 adalah 80% - 22,86% = 57,14% atau 28 siswa – 8 siswa = 20 siswa dari 35 siswa. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar servis forehand tenis meja melalui gaya mengajar divergen pada siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak.   Kata kunci: Hasil Belajar, Gaya Mengajar Divergen Abstract: The aim of this study was to determine the learning outcome forehand service through divergent teaching styles to students. This research method is using quantitative descriptive method by using percentages. Based on test data table tennis forehand serve students completed the known value of 80 %, so that in both criteria . There is a difference between test cycle 2 with a test cycle 1 was 80 % - 22.86 % = 57.14 % or 28 students - 8 students = 20 students from 35 students . It can be concluded that the results of this study indicate an increase in learning outcomes table tennis forehand service through divergent teaching styles to students of class VII A Junior High School 2 Pontianak .  Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Divergent Style

Abstract

Abstract The aims of this study was to describe students’ communication skills on topic of food additives. In order to achieve the aim, a descriptive study was conducted. A class of 29 students from 8th grade of SMPN 17 Pontianak participated in this study. It began with observation of activities during food additives class. The observation sheets were used to collect data of students’ communication skills. After class activities ended, a set of questions were asked to 10 students whom were selected randomly in order to obtain students’ response during previous class activities. Data were then analyzed descriptively. Results showed that students percentage score of verbal communication skills on asking, answering, and responding skills were 52.59 %, 24.14 %, and 17.24 % respectively and students percentage score of written communication skills on presenting data in table-form, writing a discussion, and writing a conclusion were 43.10 %, 56.90 %, and 44.83 % respectively. In conclusion, students’ verbal and written communication skills were 31.23 % and 48.28 % which were categorized as poor and good respectively.  Keywords : Additives Compounds, Communication skils, Descriptive

Abstract

AbstractLand use is process system spasial planning for hold the reins land use. Sejangkung sub-district happen flood every years because deviation land use by regional spatial planning at Sejangkung sub-district. This research as a purpose analyze deviation land use directive fungtion land use. The research sample is xsisting land use map, regional spatial planning map, fall of rain map, slope map, soil map. Method this research is descrivtif kualitatif. Overlay land use map and regional spatial planning map method two matriks dimentional. Overlay fall or rain map, slope map, and soil map for directive fungtion land use map. Result this research is sub-district Sejangkung exsisting land use is housing land use, work land use,service land use and agricultural land use. Housing land use have 266,05 hectare, work land use have 16,01 hectare, service land use have 12,49 hectare and agricultural have 51887,14 hectare. Regional spatial planning map at Sejangkung is housing land use, agricultiral land and protection region.Housing land planning have 3350,08 hectare, agricultural land have 41870,1 hectare and 1523,12 hectare. Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of providing the feedback in the form of answer sheet correction with teachers explanations to remediate student mistake on reflection of light in SMP Bumi Khatulistiwa Sungai Raya. This research used pre experimental design which was formed in one group pre-test post-test design. Sample of this research was done by random sampling technique with intact group to 20 students in the class IX B. Means of data collecting in essays form consists of 8 questions. The data analysis result showed that providing the feedback in the form of answer sheet correction with teachers explanations effective to remediate student mistake of the average proportion value, the result shown decline from the students who got a mistake as much as 0.41, it was in moderate effectiveness. Providing the feedback in the form of corrected answer along with teacher's explanation can be an alternative to remediate students' mistake in subject material about light reflection. Keyword: Answer Correction, Mistake , Light Reflection Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pemberian umpan balik berupa koreksian jawaban disertai penjelasan guru untuk meremediasi kesalahan siswa pada materi pemantulan cahaya di SMP Bumi Khatulistiwa Sungai Raya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Pre-Experimental design dengan bentuk one-group pretest posttest design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara random sampling dengan teknik intact group yaitu sebanyak 20 siswa di kelas IX B. Alat pengumpul data berbentuk esai terdiri dari 8 soal. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan pemberian umpan balik berupa koreksian jawaban disertai penjelasan guru efektif untuk meremediasi kesalahan siswa dengan harga rata-rata proporsi penurunan siswa yang mengalami kesalahan sebesar 0,41 tergolong sedang. Pemberian umpan balik berupa koreksian jawaban disertai penjelasan guru dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam meremediasi kesalahan siswa pada materi pemantulan cahaya.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan representasi visual dan verbal (lisan dan tulisan) matematika siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Raya dalam menyelesaikan Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 27 orang siswa kelas IX F yang kemudian dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok.  Sebelum diberikan soal tes, kemampuan representasi visual dan verbal siswa dalam menyelesaikan SPLDV masih rendah yakni 42%. Setelah diberikan soal tes, kemampuan representasi visual dan verbal siswa dalam menyelesaikan SPLDV meningkat. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa soal tes yang diberikan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan representasi visual dan verbal siswa dalam menyelesaikan SPLDV.   Kata kunci : representasi visual, representasi verbal. Abstract: The aims of this research were to increase visual reprentation capabilty and verbal in written or spoken in solving the System of Linear Equation Two Variables (SLETV) of class IX of SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Raya. This research was descriptive. It was qualitative approach. The subject was 27 students of class IX F of SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Raya which divided into 3 groups. Before the test given, the capability of students visual representation and verbal SLETV solving was low it was about 42%. After the test given, the capability of students visual representation and verbal SLETV solving was increased. This research shows that test item given can increase the students visual representation capability and students verbal in solving SLETV. Key words : visual reprentation, verbal reprentation.

Abstract

AbstractThe problem of this research is how to improve student learning outcomes by using jigsaw on Natural Science learning in grade IV Pontianak Utara? The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes on learning Natural Science by using jigsaw in class IV. The research method used is descriptive research method. The study consisted of two cycles and each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, reflection. The results of the study were as follows: (1) Teacher improvement in learning plan on cycle I 3.77 and cycle II 3.95 with an average increase of 0.18. (2) Teacher improvement in learning in cycle I 3.39 and cycle II 3.74 with an average increase of 0.35. (3) Increased student learning outcomes, average cycle I 72.78 and cycle II 83.33 with an average increase of 10.56. There is an increase in student learning outcomes in student learning using jigsaw in grade IV Sekiolah Dasar Negeri 40 Pontianak Utara. Keywords: Student Learning Outcomes, Natural Sciences, and Jigsaw Type
