Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to determine the effect of peer relationships on students' learning motivation in sociology subjects in XI IIS class at SMA Negeri 1 Batang Lupar. The research method used in this research is quantitative research. The data sources of this research are 49 students of XI IIS class and the data is in the form of student questionnaire answer sheets. The results showed that peer association with the same percentage of age (47.66%), intimacy (41%), the group size (41%), and the cognitive development (40%) was included in the quite effective category. The students' learning motivation with the percentage of being diligent in facing assignments (41%), the tenacious in facing difficulties (43%), the interest in learning problems (42%), happy to work independently (41.5%), not bored in tasks activity (41.8 %), can defend opinions (46.5%) and enjoy solving problems (49%) are included in the category of quite effective. The influence of peer association on students' learning motivation in sociology subjects in XI IIS class at SMA Negeri 1 Batang Lupar obtained tcount 20.778 when compared with a table at a significant level of 5% of 2.011, then tcount> ttable (20.778 > 2.011) then, Ha is accepted. The magnitude of the influence of peer association on student motivation in SMA Negeri 1 Batang Lupar with a correlation coefficient value of 0.902. By the percentage of the contribution of peer association influence on learning motivation of 90.2%, while the remaining 9.8% is influenced by other variables that not examined in this research. Keywords: Learning Motivation, Peer Association, Sociology lesson

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter adalah proses yang dirancang untuk mengembangkan kualitas moral dan etika yang penting bagi kehidupan pribadi dan sosial. Prinsip-prinsip pendidikan karakter yaitu sebagai promosi nilai dasar etika, pendekatan komprehensif, pengembangan komunitas yang peduli, proses aktif dan menyenangkan, evaluasi dan kesinambungan. Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter berfokus pada pengembangan aspek moral, spiritual, sosial, dan intelektual peserta didik agar mampu berperilaku etis, peduli, dan bertanggung jawab baik terhadap diri sendiri, masyarakat, dan lingkungan. Pengajaran pendidikan karakter di sekolah tidak hanya terbatas pada pemberian materi, melainkan melalui integrasi nilai-nilai moral dalam kurikulum, keteladanan guru, pembiasaan sehari-hari, budaya sekolah, dan keterlibatan orang tua serta masyarakat. Karakter yang harus dimiliki oleh peserta didik meliputi berbagai aspek seperti kecerdasan intelektual, emosional, sosial, dan moral. Para ahli menekankan keseimbangan antara pengetahuan akademik dan perkembangan karakter, seperti empati, tanggung jawab, kemandirian, dan kerja sama. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengeksplorasikan pendidikan karakter, prinsip pendidikan karakter, nilai pendidikan karakter, pengajaran pendidikan karakter pada peserta didik, dan karakter yang harus dimiliki oleh peserta didik. Penelitian ini ditulis dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan teknik studi kepustakaan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan karakter merupakan kunci dalam pembentukan kepribadian peserta didik yang tidak hanya cerdas secara intelektual, tetapi juga memiliki integritas moral dan etika yang tinggi. Melalui penerapan nilai-nilai karakter yang konsisten, peserta didik akan tumbuh menjadi pribadi yang siap menghadapi tantangan sosial dan profesional di masa depan.

Abstract

AbstractThe research objective was to reveal the dectic gesture in the scientific approach to learning mathematics towards students' creative thinking and interest at the Cahaya Kemuliaan High School for the academic year 2019/2020. The form of research is Pedagogical Action Research (PTP). The research procedure consists of three stages, namely: preparation, implementation, and final. The results of the content and empirical validity obtained that the questionnaire instruments, pretest questions, and post-test questions were feasible to be used to conduct research. After conducting the research, it was concluded that deictic gesture in the scientific approach had an influence on interest, namely on indicators of feelings of pleasure, interest and attention. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the implementation of the thematic learningmodel in grade IV in terms of the design, implementation process, learningoutcomes as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors for the integratedthematic learning process at SD Negeri 05 Temu and SD Negeri 22 SiboBeringin, District Teriak Bengkayang. The data was obtained by means ofobservation, in-depth interviews, field notes and analysis of document dataand documentation of the teaching and learning process. The data wereanalyzed by triangulation in order to obtain accurate and valid data. Theresults of the research are: (1) The Learning Implementation Plan compiledat SD Negeri 05 Temu uses systematics in accordance with the Minister ofEducation and Culture Number 22 of 2016. (2) Thematic learning activitiescarried out include initial, core and final learning activities. (3) The resultsof integrated thematic learning have increased in every learning processthat has been carried out in class IV of the 05 Temu State Elementary Schooland the 22 Sibo Beringin State Elementary School, Teriak District,Bengkayang Regency. (4) Supporting Factors for the implementation ofintegrated thematic learning strategies in elementary schools are schoolinfrastructure facilities such as a library, available teaching aids, theavailability of learning media, and the ability of teachers to carry out thelearning process.Keywords: Analysis, Implementation, Thematic Learning.

Abstract

Students who are already in senior high school should have a plan for a career they will take in the future. But what happens in the field is different. Some students in grade XI still have not fully planned the career they will choose in the future. This study was conducted to test information services based on the Google classroom to improve career planning of students in class XI social science 1 in Senior High School 5 Pontianak. The research method used was pre-experimental design. Subjects were taken based on non-probability sampling techniques with purposive sampling. The subjects were 10 students who had a very low level of career planning from a population of 38 people. The research findings showed information services based on the Google classroom are considered effective to improve career planning of students in class XI Social Sciences 1 State Senior High School 5 Pontianak. Ten students had a very low category with a percentage of 30% and two got results with a percentage of 70% in the high category.

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research is to analyze the beruas wasp pattern of the jepin dance accompaniment of bismillah steps. There is a peculiarity in the wasp pattern. The problems in this research are how is Beruas playing technique, and how the analysis of the Beruas beating patterns on the accompaniment of Jepin Langkah Bismillah dance. The method in this research is the descriptive method in the form of qualitative research. The approach used is the musicology approach. The source of data in the study were sources. The data in this research are the results of interview, observations, documentation results and a diary book regarding the Analysis of Beruas Beating Patterns on the accompaniment of Jepin Langkah Dance. Techniques of data collection in this research are observation, interview, and documentation. The validity test of the data in this research is through the extension of observations and triangulation. The technique of data analysis in this research is done qualitatifvely. The result of this research is there are four Beruas beating patterns on the accompaniment of jepin langkah bismillah dance, which consist of the opening beating pattern, the lampas beating pattern, the sitting takhto beating pattern, and the standing takhto beating pattern.Keywords: Beating Pattern, Beruas, The Accompaniment of Jepin Langkah Bismillah.

Abstract

Analysis of critical thinking skills on rigid body equilibrium material in terms of personality type. This study aims to determine the process of students' critical thinking skills in solving rigid body equilibrium problems in terms of extrovert and introvert personalities at SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak. This study used a survey method involving 37 students of class XI science. The instrument used in this study was a personality type questionnaire, a description test of 6 questions and interviews. The extroverted personality types of the three students (high, medium, low) cannot go through the inference stage. Introverted students are able to go through the stages of clarification, assessment, strategy and tactics and inference. So it can be concluded that the critical thinking skills of students in solving the problem of rigid body balance between extroverted and introverted personalities are different. It is hoped that this research can be considered in improving the ability of students regarding critical thinking abilities by paying attention to their personality type.Critical thinking skills

Abstract

AbstractThe study was conducted to investigate the relationship between the use of vlog media in learning and the concept understanding ability. The results of daily test of students who can achieve or exceed the Minimum Completeness Criteria are only 31.4% illustrating the lack of the understanding of students concepts. Using vlogs can be a choice of interactive and interesting learning media to help increase concept understanding of students. This type of research is explanatory research with selected research subjects are students of the 2019/2020 school year class VIII F according to the teacher's considerations. The research instrument was an essay test of concept understanding ability and a questionnaire of the use of vlog media in learning. The research analysis includes a description of the achievement of concept understanding, the feasibility of vlog learning media, and the Spearman Rank (ρ) test. The analysis results shows that the use of vlog media in learning has a relationship to the concepts understanding ability with a known correlation value of 0.410 which indicates the use of good vlogs as a learning medium sufficiently supportive to increase the ability to understand concepts.Keywords: Concept Understanding Ability, Learning Media, Vlog

Abstract

The low interest in reading in Indonesia threatens the quality of the young generation who hold Indonesia's future. Stimulating interest in reading can be done through reading materials that are popular among students, such as psychological thriller novels. Thus, researchers must encourage students to use English novels as reading material. This study aimed to determine the workability of the novel The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides as reading material for EFL students. This study of "The Silent Patient" by Alex Michaelides used a qualitative descriptive research method. Moreover, the data collection technique used literature study techniques. The results of this study showed that from the reflection of educational values for EFL students in the following ways: first, the value of truth: mental, physical, and social well-being; second, the value of beauty in terms of creativity and uniqueness; third, religious values in terms of believing in God, believing in the hereafter; fourth, moral values in terms of always helping, perversion, and responsibility; The Silent Patient novel by Alex Michaelides is suitable as reading material for EFL students.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research was to describe students' analogical reasoning based on Clement's stages in three-dimensional material at SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak. The method in this research was descriptive method with a case study research form. The subjects in this study were eight students of class XII IPA 3 SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak. The results of the analogy reasoning test showed that students of class XII IPA 3 SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak had analogous reasoning based on the low Clement stage, were of the four stages, namely the Generating the Analogy stage, the Evaluating the Analogy Relation stage, the Understanding the Analogy Case stage and the Transferring Findings stage can only be reached by two students. In Generating the Analogy stage, six students can reach it. Evaluating the Analogy Relations stage can be achieved by four students. Understanding the Analogy Case stage can be achieved by three students. Meanwhile, the Transferring Findings stage can be achieved by two students. Keywords: Reasoning Analogy, Stages of Clement
