Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to determine and describe the translation ability of students' mathematical representations in the material of adding fractions in class VII SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak. The subjects of this study were 27 grade VII students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a survey form. The techniques used in this research are measurement techniques through written tests in the form of essays and direct communication techniques through interviews. Based on the results of data analysis, the translation ability of students' mathematical representations is included in the medium category. The ability to translate students 'representations from verbal to symbolic forms is in the high and very high category and vice versa, the translational ability of students' representations from symbolic to verbal forms is in the low, medium and high categories. The ability to translate students 'representations from verbal to image forms is in the medium, high and very high categories and vice versa, the translational ability of students' representations from images to verbal forms is in the medium, high and very high categories.Keywords: Fraction, Representation, Translation Ability

Abstract

This research aims to determine the perceptions of students regarding the  implementation of history teacher learning at Madrasah Aliyah Mathla'ul Anwar Pontianak. This research used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Sources of data in this study were teachers of history subjects, students, and RPP documents. The Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documents. The Data collection tools used observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and documentation. The Data analysis used data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this research showing to (1) The Preliminary activities of learning implementation have been carried out by the teacher in accordance with the lesson plans and the answers of some of the teacher students have carried out preliminary activities. (2) The core activities of learning implementation have been carried out by the teacher although there are activities that are sometimes not carried out in learning but learning continues to run smoothly. (3) The closing activities of the learning implementation have been carried out by the teacher in accordance with the lesson plans and are also supported by the answers of several students that the teacher has carried out closing activities in learning

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research was describe the Analysis of IPS Learning Devices in Grade III of Public Elementary School 66 Pontianak City. The method used in this research was by descriptive method of qualitative research type. The data source in this study was in the form of a learning device document in the form of learning device plan (RPP) compiled by grade III teachers who teach in the elementary school of pontianak city namely the elementary school of 66 pontianak city. The results showed that there were several components of the study implementation design that have been written or not written according to Permendiknas Number 41 year 2007. Teaching materials submitted by teachers were in accordance with the purpose of learning and teaching materials that were presented easily to be understood in accordance with the student's credible. The form of evaluation given by the teacher was in accordance with the competency achievement indicator and contains rubric assessment according to the reference aspect that will be achieved by the learner.Keywords: Analysis, Learning Tools, Learning Social Knowledge

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has paralyzed tourism and decreased tourist visits, one of which has been affected is the Polaria Tanjung Pagar mangrove tourist destination in Mendalok Village, Sungai Kunyit District, Mempawah Regency, while traders depend on tourist visits, the more tourists visiting the more There are also many income opportunities for traders. This study aims to determine the condition of the Tanjung Pagar Polaria Mangrove tourist destination during Covid-19 and to determine the economic activities of the community around the Tanjung Pagar Mangrove tourist destination during Covid-19. The type of study in this research is a qualitative research. The population in this study was the community around the Tanjung Pagar Mangrove Polaria tourist destination, totaling 11 people using snowball sampling. The data used in this study were observed, interviewed and recorded. Analyzing data using Miles and Humberman analysis. The results of this study indicate that to see the condition of the Polaria Tanjung Pagar mangrove tourist destination seen from accessibility, attractions, and amenities. Meanwhile, to see the economic activities of the community around the Polaria Tanjung Pagar mangrove tourist destination, it can be seen from the changes in the livelihoods of the surrounding community. Prior to the existence of this destination, the local community worked as fishermen, but since the existence of the Polaria Tanjung Pagar mangrove tourist destination, the surrounding community can open up opportunities for their own work by trading snacks so that visitors do not have to go out to buy food.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research was to improve students learning outcomes of heat transfer material on Class VII SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak. The method conducted in this research was pre-experimental method with one-group pretest-postest research design. The sample of this research was Class VII A using Simple Random Sampling technique. The data of learning outcomes was conducted using 6 questions with multiple choices and 4 essay questions. The technique of data analysis conducted in this research was Wilcoxon Test. The conducted Wilcoxon Test showed that the sig. result was 0.000 (<0.05) which means there was such differences on students learning outcomes of science before and after learning. The improvement of students learning outcomes was 20.7 with learning effectiveness about 1.3 and categorized as high in improving students learning outcomes on Class VII A SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak, so it concluded that the use of Predict, Observe, Discuss, Explain (PODE) learning model could improve the students learning outcomes on heat transfer material.Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Heat Transfer, PODE Model

Abstract

The aim of this study is to improve the students’ pronunciation and fluency using chain story technique to the second grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Sukadana in academic year 2019/2020. In this research, the researcher used chain story as technique to solve the students’ problems. The method of this research was a classroom action research, it was done in two cycles. The subject of the research was twenty eight students of the second grade in class VIII E. The findings showed that during teaching and learning process, the students were more confident in speaking and enthusiastic following the activity in the classroom. The chain story technique could also improve students’ speaking skill in front of class. This could be seen from the improvement of students’ fluency and pronunciations, the students could pronounce the vocabulary correctly. In addition, the students also improved their abilities to speak fluently after being taught by chain story technique. It can be concluded that the use of chain story technique improved the students’ fluency and pronunciation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the types of vocabulary that appear in the language ofchildren aged 3-4 years through traditional games and songs at Sekadau Hulu, and in termsof psycholinguistic behaviorism. This study uses the theory of Psycholinguistic Behaviorism.The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative form. The data source of thisresearch is the speech of children aged 3-4 years which is obtained from traditional gamesand songs. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interview,conversational engagement, peer and note-taking techniques. The results of this studyconclude that aspects of linguistic behavior that can be observed directly and therelationship between stimuli (stimulus) and reactions (responses). There are four types ofvocabulary that emerge through the traditional games and songs of Sekadau Hulu Malayuin children aged 3-4 years, namely noun vocabulary, working vocabulary, charactervocabulary, and number vocabulary. There are four types of vacabulary that childrenacquire through traditional games, namely 13 object vocabularies, nine workingvocabularies, two number vocabularies, and two natural vocabularies. While the vocabularyacquired by children through traditional singing consists of four types of vocabulary, namely33 nouns, 11 working vocabulary, one numeric vocabulary, and four character vocabularies.Keywords: Behaviorism, Children aged 3-4 years, Traditional song-games, VocabularyAcquistion.

Abstract

Language that is in accordance with norms and culture to maintain social relations is an important key in communication. Language politeness is often found in daily activities, including in the school environment. Schools have a big role in shaping students' language impressions. The family and community of course also take part and work together in supporting the role of schools in creating children's personalities who are polite in speaking. This research focuses on analyzing language impressions in learning, especially in response text material at SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Raya. This research aims to find out and understand how compliance and violations of language politeness occur at SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Raya, especially in responding discussions and creating response texts. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique used is an observation technique adapted to the proficient free-involved listening technique (SBLC) and note-taking technique. Apart from that, recording techniques were also used in this research. The data analysis techniques used in this research are data transcription, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that student interactions include the six maxims proposed by Leech, both compliance and deviation from the principles of language politeness.

Abstract

AbstractThe research aims to describe whether there is a correlation between learning discipline and learning outcomes for fifth grade students in thematic learning at SDN 34 Pontianak City. The research method is a descriptive method in the form of a correlation study. The research population is all fifth grade students at SDN Pontianak Kota. Sampling used a sampling technique with a sample size of 30 students of class V SDN Pontianak Kota. Data collection techniques, namely, indirect communication techniques and documentary studies. Indirect communication techniques are used to collect data on learning disciplines with a tool in the form of questionnaires, while documentary techniques are used to collect data on learning outcomes for class V SDN Pontianak Kota. The data analysis technique was carried out by statistical analysis showing student learning disciplines on average 85, student learning outcomes on average 87 and the correlation between learning disciplines and student learning outcomes of r _(count) greater than r_(Table) at a significant level 5% with the number 0.660 > 0.361. There is a positive and significant correlation between learning discipline and the learning outcomes of fifth graders at SD N 34 Pontianak City, with a strong correlation.Keywords: Correlation, Learning Discipline, Learning Outcomes, and Thematic Learning

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the strategies and obstacles to using digital marketing in increasing MSME sales in the city of Pontianak. The approach used is in the form of qualitative case study research. Interviews and observations were conducted on 6 MSMEs in the city of Pontianak with different business fields with a total of 12 informants, namely 6 MSME actors and 6 customers. Data collection was carried out using in-depth interviews and observations as well as some documentation relevant to the research. The results of this research found that the use of digital marketing strategies implemented by MSMEs in Pontianak involves the use of social media and ecommerce platforms such as GrabFood, Gofood, Shopee Food, and Maxim. Among social media platforms, Instagram is the most commonly used. Business owners also implement auto reply digital marketing strategies to serve customers in their digital marketing and also collaborate with endorsements in promotional efforts. The increase in sales is one of the results of the strategy of using digital marketing which can be seen in the comparison between before and after the use of digital marketing, with sales income tending to increase from the start of the business or even not decreasing. In using digital marketing, business actors have several obstacles such as limited time in carrying out promotional activities such as content creation and errors in choosing endorsement services.
