Abstract

Introduction: Minimum Service Standards (SPM) for tuberculosis is an important pillar in efforts to control this disease. Implementing SPM can overcome various challenges, such as limited resources, increasing public awareness, supporting the implementation of national policies, and optimizing program implementation. Objectives: To analyze efforts to improve the achievement of SPM for TB services at the Sawangan Health Center, Depok City, in 2024. Method: This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach to explore the implementation of Minimum Service Standards for tuberculosis at the UPTD Puskesmas Sawangan, Depok. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with key, main and additional informants during the period May-July 2024. Informants were selected based on their role in the tuberculosis control program at the health center. Result: Several obstacles hinder the achievement of TB SPM. Human resources are insufficient both in quantity and competence, with outdated training and no formal assignment for the TB program officer. Infrastructure is lacking—TB services are merged with the ARI clinic and lack diagnostic tools like TCM and BSC. Although TB medication is adequately supplied and funding from APBN and APBD is sufficient, low motivation among officers due to absence of incentives affects service delivery. Administrative processes meet standards, but patient adherence to treatment remains a challenge. Conclution: Barriers to achieving TB SPM at the Sawangan Health Center include limited human resources, inadequate facilities, and low staff motivation. Enhancing capacity, infrastructure, and incentive systems is essential to improve program outcomes.

Abstract

Introduction: Head and neck cancers are among the most lethal, with nasopharyngeal cancer being prominent. According to WHO (2015), these cancers rank sixth globally and fourth in Indonesia. Approximately 70% of nasopharyngeal cancer cases begin with enlarged lymph nodes. Data from the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) in 2017 indicate that 56% of lymph node cases occur in adults, often without clinical symptoms. Objective: This study aims to describe the examination procedures, scanning techniques, and sonographic findings of lymphadenopathy in the submental region at Mayapada Hospital. Method: A descriptive qualitative study was conducted through direct observation from November 2024 to January 2025 at Mayapada Hospital, Jakarta. The sample consisted of one patient who underwent neck ultrasound focused on the submental area. Data were collected and analyzed qualitatively. Result: The patient underwent a scheduled neck ultrasound using a 7–12 MHz linear transducer. No special preparation was required. Imaging involved three transverse and three longitudinal views, focusing exclusively on the submental region. The sonographic findings revealed lymphadenopathy characterized by an oval shape, regular margins, and a visible hilum. Conclusion: The study outlines the standardized procedures for submental ultrasonography in identifying lymphadenopathy at Mayapada Hospital. Minimal preparation is needed, and the technique provides clear imaging features that support diagnosis.

Abstract

Introduction: Electron beam radiotherapy is commonly used to treat tumors located near the surface of the body due to its limited tissue penetration. Mycosis fungoides is a type of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, a rare disease that predominantly affects men over the age of 40. Objectives: To describe the use of electron beam radiotherapy in the treatment of mycosis fungoides at the Radiotherapy Installation of Dharmais Cancer Hospital, Jakarta. Method: This descriptive study was conducted through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis related to electron beam radiotherapy procedures in a case of mycosis fungoides. Result: Electron beam radiotherapy was administered using a 25 x 25 cm field size. Radiotherapy plays a significant role in treating mycosis fungoides, both in early and advanced stages. Localized and total skin electron therapy can offer effective treatment outcomes. Conclution: Electron beam radiotherapy is an effective modality for treating mycosis fungoides, particularly for lesions located on or near the skin surface, as demonstrated in the case treated at Dharmais Cancer Hospital.

Abstract

Introduction: The Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) is a factor that plays an important role in hospital services. With the SMK3, it is hoped that the hospital will carry out health and safety efforts that can control and minimize potential hazards that may arise and threaten the lives and lives of hospital employees, patients and visitors in the hospital environment. However, until now the implementation of SMK3 in hospitals has often not been implemented properly. This is because there are various inhibiting factors that interfere with the smooth implementation of the RS SMK3 program Objectives: This research was conducted to determine the relationship between inhibiting factors and the implementation of SMK3 at the Gunung Jati Regional General Hospital, Cirebon City, by looking at the significant value Method: This research was conducted with a cross sectional design. Respondents in this study were 70 employees taken by stratified random sampling technique. More in-depth information about the variables studied was obtained through a questionnaire Result: The independent variable of this research is the inhibiting factor while the dependent variable of this research is the implementation of SMK3. The Somers' D correlation test shows that there is a relationship between the inhibiting factors and the implementation of SMK3 (p = 0.0001). Conclution: The conclusion that can be drawn is that there is a relationship between the inhibiting factors and the implementation of SMK3 at Gunung Jati Hospital, Cirebon Regency.

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescent reproductive health (ARH) remains a critical global issue, with social media serving as a primary yet complex information channel for youth. Understanding how health students, as future professionals, engage with these platforms for ARH is essential. Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the determinants of interest and behavior among health students in Cirebon City in accessing ARH services through social media platforms. Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted from January to March 2025, involving 150 health students from three institutions selected via proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and bivariate tests (t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, Chi-Square). Result: The results revealed that knowledge (r = 0.612) and trust (r = 0.489) were strongly and positively correlated with both interest and behavior (p < 0.001). Gender (p = 0.015) and academic program (p = 0.016) were also significantly associated with interest. A notable gap was identified between students' high interest and their more moderate actual service-seeking behavior. Conclution: To effectively leverage social media for ARH, interventions must cultivate digital health literacy and trust. Addressing the practical barriers that create an "interest-behavior gap" is crucial for empowering future health professionals.

Abstract

Introduction: Telemedicine's rapid adoption in Indonesia, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, presents a potential solution to healthcare access challenges. However, this digital transformation also carries the risk of exacerbating health inequities due to a significant digital divide. Objectives: This scoping review aims to systematically map the scientific evidence on the telemedicine digital divide as a determinant of health inequity in Indonesia. Method: A scoping review was conducted following PRISMA-ScR guidelines. Four electronic databases (PubMed, Scopus, GARUDA, Google Scholar) were searched. After a rigorous screening process of 18,892 initial records, six relevant studies published between 2021-2024 were included for thematic synthesis. Result: Included studies were predominantly quantitative and focused on young, urban populations in Java. Key drivers of telemedicine adoption were trust, perceived usefulness, and ease of use. However, significant structural barriers constituting the digital divide were consistently identified, including infrastructure limitations, socioeconomic factors, and, most critically, low digital health literacy. Conclution: The digital divide in Indonesian telemedicine is a significant determinant of health inequity, not merely a technical barrier. A holistic approach combining technological innovation with policies for equitable infrastructure and public digital literacy is essential to ensure telemedicine promotes health equity rather than worsening existing disparities.
