Abstract

The development of internet of thoughts technology, in an era of increasingly massive digital disruption, the church faces new problems in delivering the message of the Great Commission. Where busyness and the internet that changes the culture of communication becomes a new opportunity in digital mission. One of the tools that is now increasingly popular is podcasts, a medium that allows evangelism to be carried out more flexibly and accessibly. The role of podcasts in digital evangelism is becoming increasingly relevant given the high internet penetration and people's preference for audio content consumption. This study aims to examine how churches utilise podcasts as a tool to support evangelistic missions and theological ethical formation of congregations in the midst of changing times. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach and content analysis of podcasts uploaded on digital platforms.  The conclusions of the findings of this study indicate that digital mission is actually in the order of the Great Commission. and the role of podcasts in digital evangelism provides new opportunities for wider and deeper evangelism, expanding the reach of the gospel message among all audiences. This is what educates the church in building a culture of mission and forming digital ethics. although there is an influence of digital evangelism on the mission of the church, the formation of digital ethics in evangelism. this is an opportunity and challenge in digital evangelism through podcasts. In addition, podcasts are also an important tool in shaping theological understanding and church ethics that are more relevant in this era of disruption.  Therefore, the church can utilise podcasts as a medium that is adaptive to cultural and technological changes, strengthening the relevance of evangelistic mission in a changing world.AbstrakPerkembangan teknologi internet of Thinks, di era disrupsi digital yang semakin massif, gereja menghadapi persoalan baru dalam menyampaikan pesan  Amanat Agung. Di mana kesibukan dan internet yang merubah budaya komunikasi menjadi peluang baru di misis digital. Salah satu sarana yang kini semakin populer adalah podcast, sebuah media yang memungkinkan penginjilan dilakukan secara lebih fleksibel dan aksesibel. Peran podcast dalam penginjilan digital menjadi semakin relevan mengingat penetrasi internet yang tinggi dan preferensi masyarakat terhadap konsumsi konten audio. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana gereja memanfaatkan podcast sebagai alat untuk mendukung misi penginjilan dan pembentukan etis teologis jemaat di tengah perubahan zaman. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskritif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka dan analisis konten podcast yang diupload di platform digital.  Adapaun kesimpulan dari temuan  penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sejatinya digital misi dalam perintah Amanat Agung. dan peran podcast dalam penginjilan digital memberikan peluang baru untuk penginjilan yang lebih luas dan mendalam, memperluas jangkauan pesan Injil di kalangan semua audiens. Hal inilah yang menjadi edukasi jemaat dalam membangun budaya misi dan membentuk etika digital. walaupun adanya pengaruh penginjilan digital terhadap misi gereja pembentukan etika digital dalam penginjilan. ini menjadi kesempatan dan tantangan dalam penginjilan digital melalui podcast. Selain itu, podcast juga menjadi sarana penting dalam membentuk pemahaman teologis dan etika gereja yang lebih relevan di era disrupsi ini.  Maka itu gereja dapat memanfaatkan podcast sebagai media yang adaptif terhadap perubahan budaya dan teknologi, memperkuat relevansi misi penginjilan dalam dunia yang terus berubah.

Abstract

The importance of prayer shows the quality of the believer's relationship with God and the quality of his spirituality. Prayer should be the main center for the life of a believer so that prayer is not a formality or routine of the believer's life but rather a close or intimate relationship with the Creator. This understanding needs to be straightened out through Paul's consistency in praying related to the letters he wrote, especially in 1 Thessalonians. Paul stated this as an important principle in the life of a believer. The author uses a descriptive qualitative method with a thematic approach through literature reviews related to the topic discussed. The purpose of this study is First, to state Paul's lifestyle about prayer according to 1 Thessalonians. Second, to implement a lifestyle of prayer in the lives of believers.AbstrakKeutamaan doa menunjukkan kualitas hubungan orang percaya dengan Tuhan dan kualitas kerohaniannya. Seharusnya doa menjadi sentral utama bagi hidup orang percaya sehingga doa bukan menjadi formalitas atau rutinitas hidup orang percaya melainkan terjalinnya hubungan yang erat atau intim terhadap Sang Pencipta. Pemahaman seperti ini perlu diluruskan melalui kekonsistenan Paulus dalam hal berdoa terkait surat-surat yang ditulisnya, terutama dalam 1 Tesalonika. Paulus menyatakan hal ini sebagai prinsip penting dalam kehidupan orang percaya.  Penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan tematik melalui literatur riview terkait topik yang dibahas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Pertama, menyatakan gaya hidup Paulus tentang doa menurut 1 Tesalonika. Kedua, mengimplementasikan gaya hidup doa dalam kehidupan orang percaya.

Abstract

Misinterpretations of 1 Corinthians 10:13 are common in the modern Christian tradition, especially when the verse is understood as a guarantee of total freedom from suffering. An overly literal interpretation of the phrase "God will not let you be tempted beyond your strength" has the potential to lead to unrealistic expectations and spiritual disappointment, especially when people face severe trials. This study aims to explore the original meaning of 1 Corinthians 10:13 through a hermeneutic and theological approach, by analyzing the biblical text in its historical, literary, and sociocultural context. This study was conducted using a qualitative method with a literature study approach, which refers to the works of leading theologians. The results of the analysis show that this verse does not promise the elimination of suffering, but affirms God's faithfulness in providing strength and a way out (ekbasis) for His people to survive in the midst of trials. This study provides a new contribution to the study of hermeneutics with a comprehensive approach to the context of the Corinthian congregation, so that it can correct various theological misunderstandings that have developed in the church today. The pastoral implications of a proper interpretation of this verse are also relevant to strengthening the faith of Christians and the ministry of the church in facing challenges of faith. Thus, this study is expected to be a reference for the development of a more contextual theology, while also helping Christians understand trials as part of the journey of faith accompanied by a faithful God.AbstrakKesalahan tafsir terhadap 1 Korintus 10:13 sering kali terjadi dalam tradisi Kristen modern, terutama ketika ayat ini dipahami sebagai jaminan kebebasan total dari penderitaan. Penafsiran yang terlalu literal terhadap frasa "Allah tidak akan membiarkan kamu dicobai melampaui kekuatanmu" berpotensi menimbulkan pengharapan yang tidak realistis dan kekecewaan rohani, khususnya ketika umat menghadapi pencobaan yang berat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi makna asli 1 Korintus 10:13 melalui pendekatan hermeneutik dan teologis, dengan menganalisis teks alkitabiah dalam konteks historis, tekstual, dan sosiokulturalnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan, yang mengacu pada karya-karya teolog terkemuka. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ayat ini tidak menjanjikan penghapusan penderitaan, tetapi menegaskan kesetiaan Allah yang menyediakan kekuatan dan jalan keluar (ekbasis) bagi umat-Nya untuk bertahan di tengah pencobaan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi baru dalam studi hermeneutika dengan pendekatan yang menyeluruh terhadap konteks jemaat Korintus, sehingga dapat mengoreksi berbagai kesalahpahaman teologis yang berkembang di gereja masa kini. Implikasi pastoral dari penafsiran yang tepat atas ayat ini juga relevan untuk memperkuat iman umat Kristen dan pelayanan gereja dalam menghadapi tantangan iman. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi referensi bagi pengembangan teologi yang lebih kontekstual, sekaligus membantu umat Kristen memahami pencobaan sebagai bagian dari perjalanan iman yang didampingi oleh Allah yang setia.

Abstract

In this digital era, it provided its own challenges for the church in carrying out the great commission of the lord jesus christ to go and make disciples of all nations. Social media seemsed to be opening up opportunities for the church to spread the gospel more freely to remote areas, even with new ways of worship, even though it's online. However, on the other hand, existing programs have resulted in the onsite disconnection of the congregation. This is what caused direct relationships or communication with one another to be of less value. By using a descriptive qualitative approach and literature study method, this study aimsed to answer several questions about how to apply the discipleship model through relationships in this increasingly modern era. This meansed that paul and timothy's model of discipleship as relationship-based discipleship should be applicable and even multiplied in today's church.AbstrakDi era digital seperti sekarang ini memberikan tantangan tersendiri bagi gereja dalam menjalankan amanat agung tuhan yesus kristus untuk pergi dan menjadikan semua bangsa murid kristus. Sosial media sepertinya membuka peluang bagi gereja untuk memberikan injil dengan lebih leluasa sampai di daerah-daerah terpelosok bahkan dengan cara-cara baru dalam peribadan meskipun secara online. Namun di sisi lain, program-program yang ada malah mengakibatkan semakin tidak terhubungnya jemaat secara kedekatan (onsite). Inilah yang mengakibatkan hubungan atau komunikasi secara langsung satu dengan yang lain menjadi kurang nilainya. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif serta metode studi literatur, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab beberapa pertanyaan tentang bagaimana mengaplikasikan model pemuridan melalui hubungan di tengah-tengah zaman yang semakin modern ini. Ini berarti model pemuridan paulus dan timotius sebagai pemuridan yang berdasarkan hubungan harusnya dapat diterapkan bahkan dimultiplikasikan di dalam gereja masa kini.

Abstract

Christian leadership in the digital age faces serious challenges due to the rapid flow of information, rapid social change, and the weakening of truth due to subjectivity in the midst of a post-truth culture. Moreover, Christian leaders are often caught up in digital image-building that is oriented towards popularity, thereby neglecting the spiritual dimension and role models that should be the basis of leadership. In this study, the exemplary nature of biblical figures is important as a foundation for a solid and relevant theology of leadership. Moreover, the phenomenon of hoaxes, ethical crises, and social polarisation further emphasises the need for Christian leadership and role models. This study aims to examine Paul's leadership example as a theological strategy for Christian leaders in facing the dynamics of the digital age. The study was conducted using a qualitative approach through literature review, leading to the conclusion that Paul's integrity is the theological foundation that strengthens Christian leadership in the digital age, because from it springs spiritual honesty that keeps leaders faithful to the Gospel. From this integrity, Paul's ministry presents a paradigm of transformative leadership that is relevant in the midst of a post-truth culture, while his perseverance in suffering sets an example of spiritual resilience for contextual Christian leaders. All of these examples emphasise the relevance of Paul's theological strategy for today's Christian leaders, namely to build leadership that is integrity-based, transformative, and resilient in facing the challenges of the digital age.

Abstract

The postmodern era is characterised by relativism towards truth, high individualism and subjectivity, as well as massive fake news in the digital era. Surely the church faces great challenges in shaping leaders who are relevant and have integrity. Transformational pastoral leadership is an urgent need to respond to the complexity of the times and maintain the authenticity and orthodoxy of the Christian faith in the midst of socio-cultural changes and beliefs. This study aims to analyse and examine the role of Christian education in encouraging the formation of transformational shepherd leadership as a church strategy to form relevant Christian leaders in the postmodern era. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a practical theology literature study approach. The results of this study conclude that Christian education that is directed, sustainable, and based on Christological spirituality plays a significant role in shaping the mindset and character of transformative leaders. Transformational leadership not only touches managerial aspects, but also spiritual, educative, and relational. The church needs to redesign the Christian education curriculum to be able to foster relevant and impactful pastors in the postmodern context.AbstrakEra postmodern yang ditandai oleh sikap relativisme terhadap kebenaran, individualisme tinggi dan subjektif, serta keadaan berita palsu yang massif di era digital. Tentunya gereja menghadapi tantangan besar dalam membentuk pemimpin yang relevan dan berintegritas. Kepemimpinan gembala yang bersifat transformasional menjadi kebutuhan mendesak guna menjawab kompleksitas zaman serta menjaga otentisitas dan ortodoksi iman Kristen di tengah perubahan sosial budaya dan kepercayaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengkaji peran pendidikan Kristen dalam mendorong terbentuknya kepemimpinan gembala yang transformasional sebagai strategi gereja membentuk pemimpin Kristen yang relevan di era postmodern. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi literatur teologi praktis. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan Kristen yang terarah, berkelanjutan, dan berbasis pada spiritualitas Kristologis berperan signifikan dalam membentuk pola pikir dan karakter pemimpin yang transformatif. Kepemimpinan transformasional tidak hanya menyentuh aspek manajerial, tetapi juga spiritual, edukatif, dan relasional. Gereja perlu mendesain ulang kurikulum pendidikan Kristen agar mampu membina gembala yang relevan dan berdampak dalam konteks pascamodern.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed the way people live. As a community of faith, the church faces the challenge of remaining relevant in reaching the digital generation that lives in a virtual culture. However, traditional evangelism approaches, which still dominate, often fail to adapt to the rapid changes of the times. The phenomenon of increasing digital activity among the younger generation, while the church lags behind in the use of digital media for evangelism, highlights a gap between ministry strategies and real-world needs. This study aims to examine how the integration of evangelistic theology and digital mission can be strategically applied in contemporary church leadership. Using qualitative methods, it can be concluded that the essence of evangelism theology is deeply rooted in biblical foundations, which serve as the primary basis for designing contextual mission strategies in the digital age. The concepts and practices of digital mission represent an actual expansion of the Great Commission, now carried out through media and virtual spaces. Church leadership in the technological era is required to be adaptive, innovative, and theological in order to guide the congregation in mission service. Therefore, the integration of evangelical theology and digital mission has become an urgent need, not only to address the challenges of the times but also to shape a strategic pattern of digital evangelical leadership for the future of the church. This approach will encourage the church to remain faithful to the Gospel call while being responsive to the changes of the times.

Abstract

This study stems from the reality that women in the Gospel narratives are often perceived as marginalized figures, yet deeper analysis reveals their significant roles within the social and religious context of their time. The purpose of this research is to examine how the representation of women in the Gospels reflects or challenges prevailing gender norms and to highlight their contribution to dynamics of religious power. The methodology employed combines textual analysis through a hermeneutical approach with historical study and academic literature review, providing a comprehensive interpretation. The findings indicate that women’s roles in the Gospels are multifaceted, functioning not merely as supporters but also as agents of transformation who challenge patriarchal structures, as exemplified by Mary Magdalene and the Samaritan woman. The novelty of this study lies in its emphasis that Gospel narratives provide a space for resistance and social transformation for women, which remains relevant for fostering a more egalitarian understanding of gender in contemporary Christianity.AbstrakPenelitian ini berangkat dari kenyataan bahwa perempuan dalam narasi Injil sering kali dipandang sebagai figur terpinggirkan, padahal analisis mendalam menunjukkan bahwa mereka memiliki peran signifikan dalam konteks sosial dan religius pada zamannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana representasi perempuan dalam Injil mencerminkan atau menantang norma gender yang berlaku serta mengungkap kontribusi mereka dalam dinamika kekuasaan religius. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis teks dengan pendekatan hermeneutik, didukung studi sejarah dan kajian literatur akademis, sehingga menghasilkan interpretasi yang komprehensif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran perempuan dalam Injil bersifat multifaset, tidak hanya sebagai pendukung tetapi juga sebagai agen perubahan yang berani melawan struktur patriarkal, seperti terlihat pada tokoh Maria Magdalena dan perempuan Samaria. Kebaruan (novelty) penelitian ini terletak pada penekanan bahwa narasi Injil menghadirkan ruang resistensi dan transformasi sosial bagi perempuan, yang relevan untuk membangun pemahaman gender yang lebih egaliter dalam konteks kekristenan masa kini.

Abstract

This study discusses pastoral discipleship strategies to strengthen the faith identity of the Strawberry Generation based on Titus 2:1–5. This generation is known to have creative potential but is emotionally and spiritually fragile. This phenomenon is influenced by permissive parenting, instant culture, and intensive exposure to digital media. Titus 2:1–5 emphasises the importance of sound teaching, exemplary living, and intergenerational discipleship as the foundation for forming faith identity. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature review, leading to the conclusion that understanding the Strawberry Generation from a sociological and theological perspective shows the need for a holistic approach in understanding the challenges and opportunities of this generation. Faith formation models for the younger generation are often pragmatic and poorly grounded in biblical principles, thus failing to address the emotionally and spiritually fragile challenges of the Strawberry Generation. Through an exposition of Titus 2:1–5 and the application of pastoral discipleship principles, this study formulates a contextual and biblical faith formation strategy. The results provide theological and practical contributions to strengthening the faith identity of the Strawberry Generation and bridging the gap between biblical principles and the needs of the contemporary generation.AbstrakPenelitian ini membahas strategi pemuridan pastoral untuk menguatkan identitas iman Generasi Strawberry berdasarkan Titus 2:1–5. Generasi ini dikenal memiliki potensi kreatif namun rapuh secara emosional dan spiritual. Fenomena ini dipengaruhi oleh pola asuh permisif, budaya instan, serta keterpaparan intensif pada media digital. Titus 2:1–5 menegaskan pentingnya pengajaran sehat, teladan hidup, dan pemuridan lintas generasi sebagai fondasi pembentukan identitas iman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan studi pustaka, maka didapat kesimpulan bahwa adanya pemahaman generasi strawberry dalam perspektif sosiologi dan teologi menunjukkan perlunya pendekatan yang holistik dalam memahami tantangan dan peluang generasi ini. Model pembinaan iman bagi generasi muda sering kali bersifat pragmatis dan kurang berakar pada prinsip biblika, sehingga belum menjawab tantangan generasi strawberry yang rapuh secara emosional dan spiritual. Melalui eksposisi Titus 2:1–5 dan penerapan prinsip pemuridan pastoral, penelitian ini merumuskan strategi pembinaan iman yang kontekstual dan alkitabiah. Hasilnya memberikan kontribusi teologis dan praktis dalam memperkuat identitas iman generasi strawberry serta menjembatani kesenjangan antara prinsip Alkitab dan kebutuhan generasi kontemporer.

Abstract

Divine Hiddenness is an argument that asserts the hiddenness of God. God is hidden in His mysterious place so that He cannot be found by those who seek Him. This hiddenness of God logically implies that God does not exist. However, Christian faith provides a comprehensive answer regarding God's existence. The incarnation stated in John 1:14 provides a historical and theological answer about God. God incarnated in Jesus Christ to build a relationship with His people and be involved in the history of human life. This paper aims to refute the argument of divine hiddenness through incarnation in a historical study and interpretation of John 1:14. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the author argues that God revealed Himself through the incarnation of Jesus Christ as stated in John 1:14. Thus, John 1:14 provides a final refutation of the hiddenness of God. This paper offers a new integrative approach to responding to the claim of divine hiddenness through a historical theological exploration of John 1:14. In addition, this paper affirms that the incarnation is the definitive answer to the accusation of God's absence in history and human existence.AbstrakDivine Hiddenness merupakan argumentasi yang menyatakan ketersembunyian Allah. Allah bersembunyi di tempatNya yang misterius sehingga tidak dapat ditemukan oleh para pencariNya. Ketersembunyian Allah tersebut memberikan implikasi logis bahwa Allah itu tidak ada. Namun, iman Kristen memberikan jawaban komprehensif mengenai keberadaan Allah tersebut. Inkarnasi yang dinyatakan di dalam Yohanes 1:14 memberikan jawaban historis dan teologis tentang Allah. Allah berinkarnasi di dalam Yesus Kristus untuk membangun relasi dengan umatNya dan terlibat di dalam sejarah kehidupan manusia. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan sanggahan argumentasi divine hiddenness melalui inkarnasi dalam kajian historisitas dan intepretasi Yohanes 1:14. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penulis menyatakan bahwa Allah menyatakan diriNya melalui inkarnas Yesus Kristus sebagaimana yang dinyatakan di dalam Yohanes 1:14. Dengan demikian, Yohanes 1:14 memberikan sanggahan final mengenai ketersembunyian Allah. Tulisan ini memberikan kebaruan yaitu adanya pendekatan integratif untuk merespon klaim divine hiddenness melalui eksplorasi teologis historis Yohanes 1:14. Selain itu, tulisan ini memberikan penegasan bahwa inkarnasi merupakan jawaban definitif atas tuduhan ketidakhadiran Allah dalam sejarah dan eksistensi manusia.
