Abstract

This study aims to describe the portrait of online learning at SD Negeri 15 Lalembuu, explain the obstacles in its implementation, and describe students' learning motivation in following this learning model. Data collection methods consist of interviews, observation, and documentation, which are then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The study shows that online learning at SD Negeri 15 Lalembuu, Konawe Selatan District, uses the WhatsApp application; the teacher creates class groups consisting of teachers, students, and student's parents. Assignments are sent via the WhatsApp group. However, some students did not have cell phones and did not understand the teacher's presentation while studying. Student learning motivation in online learning is divided into motivation that arises from within the student himself and motivation that arises from outside the student's self, namely the family environment, school environment, and community environment. Keywords: Student motivation for learning, online learning, and online learning limitations

Abstract

This study aims to assess the effects of putting the Pancasila student profile project into practice on the development of student character. This study is a review of the literature. As part of the literature search step, data gathering was done utilizing a database search tool. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review AND Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) approach is used for data collecting. According to the screening findings, there were four foreign and 11 national journals. Examining the article's findings demonstrates that the profile of Pancasila students promotes the development of decent people with six primary qualities, including faith, the awe of God Almighty, moral character, respect for world variety, reciprocal collaboration, independence, critical thinking, and creativity. For kids to be able to autonomously establish character values and noble character that can be realized in their lives, character values are taught to them as part of the learning process in the contexts of school, family, and community. Honesty, civility, discipline, responsibility, and religion are strengthened character qualities. Keywords: Pancasila student profile, student character, character building

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the picture and picture learning model assisted by diorama media in science subjects in elementary schools, to determine the increase in student activity by applying this learning model, and to determine the increase in student learning outcomes after learning is carried out. This research is classroom action research—data collection techniques in the form of observation and tests. The research data was then analyzed by descriptive qualitative. The results showed that applying the picture and picture learning model with the help of diorama media was carried out by following the learning syntax. Learning activities are getting better with the use of diorama media. During learning in each cycle, student activity gets better. Students look more active in class and do not hesitate to ask questions. Students learning outcomes increased after applying the picture and picture learning model assisted by diorama media. The number of students who achieved the KKM score (58) in the pre-cycle was only 4. However, after the implementation of the action, the number of students who achieved the KKM score increased to 9 students in cycle 1 and 18 students in cycle 2.Keywords: Learning outcomes, picture and picture learning models, the water cycle

Abstract

The mother tongue remains an important part of elementary school students’ daily communication, especially in communities where local languages are actively used at home and in social interaction. This study aims to describe patterns of mother tongue use and explain their relationship with Indonesian language proficiency among third-grade students at SD Negeri 7 Mawasangka Tengah. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, with credibility ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings show that the mother tongue dominates informal communication at school and at home, while Indonesian is used more frequently in classroom learning and formal situations. The mother tongue helps students understand teachers’ explanations, communicate more comfortably, and maintain connections with local culture. However, some students still experience difficulties with Indonesian vocabulary, complex instructions, and expressing ideas in complete sentences. Code-mixing also occurs when students cannot find appropriate Indonesian words. These findings indicate that the mother tongue can function as a linguistic bridge in learning Indonesian. Teachers should therefore use it proportionally while expanding students’ opportunities to use Indonesian in academic contexts. Keywords: mother tongue; Indonesian language; elementary school students; code-mixing; language learning
