Abstract

Clean water management is a strategic issue in regional development, including in Pringsewu Regency. This research aims to analyze the clean water management system, identify the main challenges, and formulate strategies for improving clean water services in the region. The research approach uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, field observations and document studies. Data were analyzed using an interactive model with a focus on policy, institutional and community participation aspects. The research results show that clean water management in Pringsewu Regency still faces various obstacles, such as limited infrastructure, low community access to clean water, and lack of optimal coordination between stakeholders. From an institutional perspective, coordination between regional governments, Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD), and the community needs to be improved to create a sustainable system. The proposed strategy includes strengthening regulations and clean water management policies, increasing infrastructure capacity through sustainable investment, and empowering communities in managing water resources. Technology-based approaches are also recommended to improve the efficiency of distribution systems and water quality monitoring. It is hoped that this research can become a reference in policy making to ensure equal, sustainable and quality access to clean water in Pringsewu Regency.

Abstract

City branding is a strategy to introduce a city through its advantages. Cirebon City has a city branding with the tagline "The Gate of Secret" which reflects its identity as a culture-based tourist city. This study aims to analyze the implementation of city branding in Cirebon City and formulate strategies that can optimize it. The research method used is qualitative descriptive through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the Cirebon City Culture and Tourism Office has implemented various city branding initiatives, such as adding culture-based tourist destinations, making tourist locations a place to work through the Work from Destination (WFD) program, and launching the Wistakon tourism application to facilitate access to information for tourists. However, there are several supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study provides insight into the importance of overcoming these obstacles to increase the effectiveness of Cirebon City's city branding

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic role of housewives in social empowerment through the lens of Marxist feminism. In a social system dominated by patriarchal norms, housewives are often positioned as domestic actors without formal recognition of their contributions to the capitalist economic structure. However, they play multifaceted roles in supporting family economic sustainability and social reproduction. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving in-depth interviews, and observations, of housewives in Medan City who are engaged in community activities and home-based micro-enterprises. The findings reveal that housewives contribute to social reproduction through domestic labor and active community participation. Activities such as skill training and self-employment not only enhance family welfare but also foster social solidarity. However, their roles are often constrained by structural barriers, such as gender stereotypes and patriarchal dominance in decision-making. This study concludes that housewives hold significant potential as agents of social change, which can be maximized through interventions supporting their participation in public spheres

Abstract

Employees who are inventors often collaborate with employers to secure funding and facilities for patent research and development. In response to this development, the government established the Patent Law to protect the patent rights of employee inventors for patents resulting from their employment relationship. This study is a normative-sociological legal research. The aim of this research is to find the appropriate mechanism for creating a compensation agreement and fair and reasonable compensation standard for employee inventors. The subjects of this research are employee inventors and employers. The data collection method in this study are literature review and interviews. The data includes regulations, legal experts' opinions, dictionaries, encyclopedias, and others. Based on this research, it was found that there is uncertainty regarding the bargaining position of employee inventors in the agreement drafting process and the standards for providing compensation to employee inventors for the patents they produce. Therefore, a strong legal system is needed to regulate the forms and values of compensation which meet fair and reasonable standards to ensure legal certainty for employee inventors.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang memiliki keberagaman budaya dan entitas kemasyarakatan, salah satunya adalah masyarakat hukum adat penganut kepercayaan (selanjutnya disebut MHPAK). Seringkali hak beragama dan hak pilih para penganut MHPAK yang meyakininya tidak terjamin dan terpenuhi secara optimal, khususnya dalam praktik pemilihan umum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang hubungan antara hak berkeyakinan dan hak pilih dalam konteks “Demokrasi Pancasila” di Indonesia. Untuk mengetahui hal tersebut, makalah ini menggunakan kasus pengalaman yang dialami oleh Masyarakat Adat Penganut Kepercayaan yang kemudian disebut MHAPK. Kasus MHAPK dipilih dengan mempertimbangkan situasi khusus berupa “kekerasan struktural” akibat tidak adanya pengakuan hukum terhadap keberadaan mereka yang menganut kepercayaan setempat. Bahwa terdapat perubahan yang signifikan antara sesudah dan sebelum putusan Mahkamah Konstitusi Nomor 97/PUU-XIV/2016 tentang pemenuhan hak berkeyakinan. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengkaji administrasi kependudukan sebelum dan sesudah putusan Mahkamah Konstitusi serta dampaknya terhadap pemenuhan hak pilih. Lebih jauh, pembelajaran dari kasus MHAPK juga turut andil dalam memikirkan kembali makna klaim demokrasi Pancasila. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengolah sumber pustaka. Selain itu, wawancara juga dilakukan terutama kepada penyelenggara pemilu. Hasil kajian yang dilakukan menunjukkan adanya keterkaitan antara hak berkeyakinan dan hak memilih. Temuan lainnya adalah adanya perbedaan makna Demokrasi Pancasila.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the representation of the Sulang-Sulang Pahompu culture in the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap through John Fiske’s semiotic approach. The film is significant as it presents the life of the Batak community, rich with traditional values and unique kinship relations. Sulang-Sulang Pahompu, a traditional ritual that emphasizes respect for ancestors and family unity, is depicted through various visual and narrative elements within the film. This research applies Fiske's semiotic analysis method, focusing on three primary codes: social, technical, and ideological, to understand how this ritual is represented and interpreted within the Batak cultural context. The findings reveal that Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap successfully represents Batak cultural symbols by portraying intergenerational conflicts that balance modernization with reverence for ancestral traditions. The film serves not only as entertainment but also as an educational tool that introduces and reinforces Batak cultural identity, encouraging viewers to appreciate and understand local culture. The implications of this study show that film, as a popular medium, can play a significant role in preserving and introducing traditional culture to a broader audience in the era of globalization.

Abstract

Theoretical thinking is at the core of the development of science, serving as a conceptual framework for understanding, explaining, and predicting phenomena. This study uses the literature review study method. So this study aims to examine the role of theoretical thinking in the formation and development of scientific theories and their implications for scientific progress. Using the literature review study method, this study analyzes a variety of academic sources, including journal articles, books, and research reports, to understand the basic principles of scientific theory formation, the logical structure of theories, and their relevance in various disciplines. The results of the study show that theoretical thinking is not only the basis for the development of science, but also plays an important role in driving innovation, identifying research gaps, and integrating various methodological approaches. In addition, the study found that a solid scientific theory is built on a process of critical reflection and iterative analysis, thus ensuring its reliability in contributing to science universally. The implications of these findings include strengthening the relationship between theory and practice, developing a learning model that focuses on theoretical thinking skills, and increasing cross-disciplinary collaboration in building a more holistic theory. This research is expected to be a reference for academics and practitioners to explore the importance of theoretical thinking in building a strong scientific foundation and applying it effectively in various contexts

Abstract

This study analyzes the tourism marketing communication strategies implemented by the Tourism and Culture Office of Pangandaran Regency to boost tourist visits. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research explores public relations activities, advertising, digital media utilization, event management, and collaboration with local partners. Findings reveal that integrated communication strategies, such as digital-based promotion through social media and official websites, as well as destination branding enhancement through tourism events and clear market segmentation, have successfully increased tourist visits. However, challenges such as limited promotional budgets, insufficient facilities, and the unadaptable mindsets of tourism actors hinder effectiveness. This study highlights the importance of marketing innovation, stakeholder collaboration, and digital technology optimization to strengthen Pangandaran's position as a leading tourism destination at the national and international levels.

Abstract

In the fast-paced era of globalization, preserving local cultural resilience poses a unique challenge. Kampung Adat Cireundeu in West Java is an example of a community that has successfully maintained its local wisdom amidst the currents of modernization. This research examines the strategies for cultural resilience in Kampung Adat Cireundeu and the role of the government in supporting its sustainability. The study found that cultural preservation in Kampung Adat Cireundeu begins within the family environment, building self-awareness among young generations through traditional approaches such as "lengkah munggaran," house spatial arrangements, and strengthening family communication. Traditional-based education in the "bale atikan" serves as a medium for delving into local traditions. Support from the central government is manifested through legal protection, such as the recognition of cassava rice ("rasi") and the "Tutup Tahun Saka Sunda" traditional ceremony as Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) and the protection of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). However, at the local government level, support remains suboptimal in terms of infrastructure development. This research emphasizes the importance of synergy between indigenous communities, the central government, and local governments in maintaining cultural resilience. Efforts that can be undertaken include the development of cultural infrastructure, capacity building for indigenous communities, and the integration of culture into local education. With a holistic approach, Kampung Adat Cireundeu can serve as a real-world example of success in preserving local wisdom in the midst of modernization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji strategi pembuatan konten yang diterapkan oleh akun Instagram @Amorphotoworks dalam mempertahankan konsistensi dan kualitas branding di industri fotografi dan videografi pernikahan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis jenis konten video yang diproduksi serta strategi yang digunakan untuk menjaga konsistensi branding dan meningkatkan kepuasan konsumen. Dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pemilik dan tim media sosial serta observasi langsung pada akun Instagram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Amorphotoworks menerapkan beberapa strategi utama: penggunaan teknik sinematik yang konsisten, riset audiens yang rutin,perencanaan konten bulanan, dan evaluasi performa untuk beradaptasi dengan tren tanpa mengorbankan identitas merek. Selain itu, proses pembuatan konten mengikuti arahan dan kualitas kontrol yang terstruktur untuk memastikan keselarasan dengan nilai-nilai merek. Studi ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pemahaman strategi konten di Instagram untuk penguatan konsistensi branding, dan memiliki implikasi bagi bisnis yangingin mempertahankan citra branding visual secara optimal di saluran digital.
