Abstract

Employee performance is the quality and number of individual consequences or combinations in exclusive actions caused by the characteristic capacity obtained from learning interactions and to perform better. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of work discipline on employee performance at the Bengkulu Province Office of Community and Village Empowerment (DPMD), to determine the effect of work motivation on employee performance at the Bengkulu Province Office of Community and Village Empowerment (DPMD). This study aims to determine the effect of work discipline and work motivation on employee performance at the Bengkulu Province Office of Community and Village Empowerment (DPMD). The sample in this study was 44 employees, data collection using questionnaires and data analysis methods used multiple linear regression, determination test, and hypothesis testing. The results for the multiple regression equation show a positive regression direction with the equation Y = 9,747 + 0,897 (X1) + 0,832 (X2) + e, which means that if there is an increase in work discipline and work motivation, the performance of employees in the community and village empowerment office (DPMD) Bengkulu Province will also increase. Work discipline has a significant effect on employee performance in the Bengkulu Province Community and Village Empowerment Office (DPMD) because the value of ttable (2,954 < 1.677) and a significance value of 0.004 < from 0.050. Work motivation has a significant influence on employee performance at the Bengkulu Province Community and Village Empowerment Office (DPMD) because the value of ttable (2,525 <1,677) and a significance value of 0.014 < from 0.050. The test results conclude that there is a significant influence between work discipline and motivation on employee performance at the Bengkulu Province Community and Village Empowerment Office (DPMD) together because the F arithmetic value > F table (154.995 > 3.133) with a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine whether there is an effect of work discipline and work environment on employee performance at Youth and Sports Department of South Bengkulu. This research includes quantitative research. This research is categorized as a survey, where the research instrument is a questionnaire. The population and sample in this study were all employees at Youth and Sports Department of South Bengkulu, namely 40 people. The instrument test in this study was carried out using validity and reliability. The data analysis technique in this study used multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results showed that: (1) work discipline had a positive and significant effect on employees performance at Youth and Sports Department of South Bengkulu (β = 0.343 with a significance level of 0.001); (2) the work environment has a positive and significant effect on the employees performance at Youth and Sports Department of South Bengkulu (β = 0.471 with a significance level of 0.000); (3) Work discipline and work environment have a positive and significant effect on employees performance at Youth and Sports Department of South Bengkulu, which is shown from the results of the regression test that the independent variable greatly influences the dependent variable with a value of 10.058 and work discipline = 0.208 with a significance level of 0.001 and work environment =401 with a significance level of 0.000).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of service quality and brand image on customer satisfaction at the Kimia Farma Bengkulu Clinical Laboratory and researches used research with quantitative descriptive methods. Quantitative research is research that describes and explains phenomena that occur in the field by perfoming statistical calculations.service quality and company brand image are one of the success factors of a company in maintaining customer satisfaction. Cuscomers at Kimia Farma Bengkulu Clinical Laboratory in the results of this study showed that together (simultaneously) revealed service quality and brand image had a very positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction at the Kimia Farma Bengkulu Clinical Laboratory. With this the authors concluded that services quality and brand image plays an important role in customer satisfaction. This is indicated by the probability value (sig) 0.000 <alpha 0.05 including the test criteria Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.

Abstract

Institution must try to encourage its employees to work well so that they can achieve the best performance. To create high employee performance, of course, there are several things that must be considered by the agency, such as work ability and work motivation. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of work ability and work motivation on employee performance at Tais Religious Court Class II of Seluma Regency. The sample in this study was 33 employees at Tais Religious Court Class II, of Seluma Regency. The data collection used a questionnaire and the analytical method used is multiple linear regression, determination test and hypothesis testing. The results of multiple linear regression calculations obtained multiple linear regression equation Y = 8.650+0.334X1+0.478X2. The coefficient of determination of the Adjusted R square value is 0.455. This means that X1 (work ability), and X2 (work motivation) affect employee performance (Y) by 45.5% while the remaining 54.5% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. The results of F test show that the significance is 0.000 <0.05. Because the significance level is below 0.05, it shows that X1 (work ability) and X2 (work motivation) have a positive and significant effect on employee performance (Y). Work ability has a positive and significant effect on employee performance because the significant value is 0.041 < 0.05, work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance because the value is 0.007 < 0.05.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the cost of goods sold arising from the calculation of the cost of goods manufactured by the traditional system used by Hidayah tofu factory and the basis for calculating the cost of goods manufactured by the Activity Based Costing system that the researcher implemented.The type of research used in this research is quantitative descriptive research. Where the data was obtained from interviews with Hidayah tofu owners and then implemented using the traditional methods used by the factory and the Activity Based Costing method to determine the cost of good sold from the two methods.The results of the analysis using the traditional method of cost of good sold for fried tofu products is Rp. 283,300,000.00, which is lower than the Activity Based Costing method. Meanwhile, the cost of good sold for white tofu products is IDR 138,000,000.00, which is lower than the Activity Based Costing method. Whereas in the Activity Based Costing method the cost of good sold for fried tofu products is IDR 285,837,500.00 higher than the traditional method. Meanwhile, the cost of good sold for white tofu products is IDR 140,536,760.00 higher than the traditional method. This shows that calculations using the Activity Based Costing method are more accurate than traditional methods. Because in the Activity Based Costing method all costs incurred in production activities are included in the calculation component, namely the cost of depreciation of factory machine assets.

Abstract

Ulayat rights are the rights of customary law communities which in essence are the authority possessed by certain customary law communities. The customary land law of the Tolaki Mekongga tribe is land that is controlled or owned by a family, either because the family has directly cultivated it, or because the land has been inherited from generation to generation. The main objective of this research is to find out the concept of customary land ownership of the Tolaki Mekongga tribe and its relation to inheritance and customary rights. The type of research used in this study is normative legal research (doctrinal legal research), namely research on law as a norm and reality (behavior) or as something to aspire to and as a living reality or law. The Tolaki Mekongga indigenous people still exist today and occupy certain areas, but until now there are no regional regulations regarding customary rights over these areas, so efforts are needed to obtain legal certainty and justice for customary law communities in managing their customary rights.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Application of the Pacta Sunt Servanda Principle in Oral Agreements Between Fishermen Who Have Anchovy Bagang (sellers) and Buyers in Tanggetada Village, Tanggetada District. The formulation of the problem posed, How is the application of the principles of the agreement to the verbal agreement between fishermen who own anchovy bagang and buyers in the village of Tanggetada, Tanggetada sub-district and What are the legal consequences of not applying the principles of the agreement to an oral agreement between fishermen who own anchovy bagang and buyers, Type the study used the Normative-Empirical research method where the results showed that the application of the pacta sunt servanda principle from the buyer was not fulfilled where in the agreement between the seller and the buyer had agreed on a price of 500,000. but the buyer only paid 400,000. so that the buyer violates the agreement that has been made. Legitimate legal consequences based on Article 1388 of the Civil Code, namely all agreements made legally apply as laws to those who make them, an agreement cannot be withdrawn other than by agreement of both parties or for reasons stated by law. , and an agreement must be implemented in good faith. Abstract

Maleficent (2014) is a Disney film that tells the story of a kind fairy named Maleficent. One day, several armies from the human kingdom invaded the forest and threatened the harmony of the land. Due to betrayal and loss of wings, Maleficent begins to build a kingdom of darkness to protect the fairy kingdom namely the Moors. The film indicates further ideas of relations between human and nature as also supported by Gaia Hypothesis. Then, how is Gaia Hypothesis represented on the Film Maleficent? By using a qualitative method, this paper describes the state of the kingdom in the fairy realm after humans tried to destroy it. Supported by the proposed Gaia Hypothesis by James Lovelock related to the relationship between women and nature, the ethics of caring, the idea of mother earth, and the idea of healing the earth. The results of this study concluded that there are still many people who want to destroy nature for their own sake. While there are other creatures that live there, guarding nature with all human’s might and empowered from this analysis can awaken human beings in the future to always keep nature alive for all creatures on earth.

Abstract

Margaret Atwood is a female author who is known from her works that discuss intertwinement of women's relationships with the world. Giving Birth is one of her short stories published in 1977 that focused on an unnamed female narrator’s story that tells Jeanie’s experience who are preparing and finally undergoing the process of giving birth. Through this short story, the researchers indicated matter of gynocriticism by Elaine Showalter that describes women as writers. It also included matter of soul and psychoanalytic approach. Through qualitative method, this research underlines how giving birth is specific experience felt only by women from the existence of the womb. Pregnancy is the best experience of woman that could define herself as the main author of the future adventure of her baby. In conclusion, underlining gynocriticism in Giving Birth indicated true matters of identity of women beings. Then, the criticism also shows how those shape differences between male and female kind of literature.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelagic country with various traditions and ways of life. Cultural rituals during pregnancy and childbirth are customs and habits that are practiced in many places. Rintis Village is one of the villages that practices pregnancy and childbirth ceremonies for the Javanese people. This study aims to describe the process of a series of ceremonies from pregnancy to childbirth. In this study using qualitative methods, the method of collecting data by means of participatory observation, and in-depth interviews. In this study, several things were found, namely (1) Traditional pregnancy ceremonies such as telonan and tingkeban. (2) Postpartum traditional ceremonies, namely brokohan, sepasaran and selapanan. (3) There is also a tradition of gebrak bayen and baby roosters. (4) There is a symbolic meaning of offerings and offerings contained in a series of pregnancy and postpartum ceremonies. Basically, all customs and rituals are adhered to and carried out only with the hope of receiving God's forgiveness. In addition, maintaining ancestral traditions and upholding balance and satisfaction in life, namely a safe environment free from disturbances caused by other living things or the natural environment.
