Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of customer relationship management (CRM) in Bos Alpukat MSMEs located in Batam City. This MSME is engaged in the avocado-based contemporary beverage sector and relies on digital strategies and direct interaction in reaching and retaining customers. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was obtained through semi-structured interviews with business owners and field observations of operational activities and digital communication strategies. The results show that Bos Alpukat has implemented several important dimensions of CRM, such as focus on key customers, use of social media-based technology, and responsive service. However, the implementation of customer data recording systems and knowledge management has not been optimized. By strengthening customer data utilization and strategic relationship management, Bos Alpukat has the potential to increase long-term customer loyalty and value. This research is expected to contribute to the development of adaptive CRM strategies in a resource-constrained but digitally dynamic MSME environment.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have an important role in driving national economic growth, including in Batam City, which is showing rapid development in the food and beverage sector. Almira's Cake, as one of the local MSMEs engaged in home cake production, shows great potential in attracting and retaining consumers. However, relationships with customers are still built conventionally without a structured Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. This research aims to analyze the extent of CRM implementation at Almira's Cake and evaluate opportunities for developing a more effective CRM strategy. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and literature studies. The results of this study are expected to provide a deeper understanding of the importance of CRM in increasing customer loyalty and competitiveness of MSMEs in the midst of a competitive market.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between Novelty-Centered Business Model Design (NBMD) and operational performance by considering the mediating role of external integration in the self-service retail sector in Padang City. The background of this research departs from the challenges faced by supermarkets in facing digital competition and changes in consumer behavior, which demand innovation in business models as well as cross-organizational collaboration. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method on data from 35 respondents consisting of owners, store managers, and supermarket managers. The results showed that NBMD had a positive and significant effect on external integration, but no significant influence was found either directly or indirectly from NBMD and external integration on operational performance. Thus, external integration has not been proven to be a mediator in the relationship between NBMD and operational performance. The study concludes that novelties in business model design tend to strengthen external collaboration, but the impact on operational performance has not been seen directly. The practical implications of these results emphasize the importance of improving the quality of the implementation of external integrations as well as other internal factors in order for business model innovation to produce optimal operational performance

Abstract

Recruitment and selection are crucial processes in human resource management that play a vital role in ensuring the quality of the workforce recruited by a company. PT Victory International Futures, as a futures brokerage company, implements active and adaptive recruitment strategies through various digital media such as social media and a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. According to Simamora (2006), effective recruitment aims to attract potential candidates who meet the organization’s needs. This is supported by Rivai (2015), who states that proper selection determines the long-term success of a company. This study uses observation and hands-on practice during the internship at PT Victory International Futures. The findings show that the recruitment and selection processes implemented by the company enhance candidate quality through direct approaches such as canvassing, digital promotion, and orientation training. Moreover, the use of technology in managing candidate data supports the efficiency of the selection process. These findings support Dessler's (2020) view that integrating technology into HR processes can accelerate recruitment and improve accuracy in employee selection. Thus, a structured recruitment and selection practice contributes to developing a competent workforce ready to compete in the futures trading industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze consumer perceptions in Serang, Banten, towards generative AI-based marketing personalization, focusing on factors of acceptance, concerns, and the influence of local culture. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 18 consumers who actively use digital platforms. The results show that while consumers value the benefits of AI personalization, such as relevant product recommendations and time efficiency, they also voice deep concerns regarding data privacy and system accuracy. Unique findings reveal a strong preference for local brands and the importance of digital literacy in shaping technology acceptance. This study provides practical recommendations for businesses, including increasing data transparency and a hybrid development model that integrates AI with human interaction. Limitations of the study include the limited number of participants and the geographic focus on one region, so further research is recommended to expand the scope with a mixed-method approach and cross-regional comparative studies. This study contributes to the understanding of the application of AI in marketing in the local context of Indonesia, especially in non-metropolitan areas such as Serang

Abstract

The weak position of consumers against business actors is a very important issue in the context of consumer protection in Indonesia. Consumers are often at a disadvantage because business actors have greater economic power, information, and legal access. In today's digital era and free market, consumer protection challenges are increasingly complex, especially with the emergence of digital products and services that are not yet fully regulated in consumer protection regulations. This can reduce consumer loyalty and damage the reputation of irresponsible business actors. The research method used in this research study is normative legal research. Thus, this research is very important because it aims to identify and analyze the factors that cause the weak position of consumers in relations with business actors in Indonesia. In addition, this research is also important because it aims to analyze the impact of the weak position of consumers on the national economic system and identify its influence on the level of public trust in business actors in Indonesia. By doing so, it is expected that the position of consumers in Indonesia can become stronger and optimally protected
