Jurnal PUAN INDONESIA (Pengabdian Untuk Anak Negeri) Indonesia merupakan wadah untuk mempublikasikan hasil-hasil Pengabdian Masyarakat dari berbagai disiplin ilmu dalam bentuk Jurnal ilmiah dan Open Accessed System. Jurnal ini diterbitkan oleh Asosiasi Dosen Bahasa dan Sastra se Kepulauan Riau (Idebahasa Kepri). Artikel-artikel yang dipublikasikan di Jurnal Puan Indonesia meliputi hasil-hasil penelitian ilmiah asli, artikel ulasan ilmiah yang bersifat baru, atau komentar atau kritik terhadap tulisan yang ada dimuat di OJS system Jurnal Puan Indonesia maupun dalam terbitan berkala ilmiah lainnya. Jurnal Puan Indonesia menerima manuskrip atau naskah artikel dalam bidang riset terapan dan pengabdian masyarakat yang mencakup bidang keilmuan yang relevan dengan: sosial, kependidikan, sains, keolahragaan, bahasa, bisnis dan ekonomi dari berbagai kalangan akademisi dan peneliti baik nasional maupun internasional. Jurnal PUAN INDONESIA akan menerbitkan jurnal secara bilingual pada bulan Juli dan Januari setiap tahunya. JPI menerapkan kebijakan blind review dimana setiap tulisan yang masuk akan dikirimkan kepada mitra bestari yang terdaftar di JPI. Proses review dapat berlangsung maksimum sampai 30 (tiga puluh) hari kerja dengan alokasi waktu yang diberikan kepada tiap mitra bestari dalam menyelesaikan proses review nya adalah maksimum 14 (empat belas) hari kerja. Jika mitra bestari yang ditunjuk sebelumnya tidak mampu menyelesaikan pekerjaan review-nya dalam tenggat waktu yang ditentukan maka ketua dewan redaksi akan menunjuk mitra bestari pengganti untuk melakukan review tulisan yang dimaksud.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to realize the work program of the chemical engineering study program, serve the community, build a spirit of mutual cooperation and social care, and prepare students in accordance with the development and demands of society. The target of the activity is the community of Cimanggu Village, Ngamprah District, West Bandung Regency. This activity is based on Pancasila, Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, and chemical engineering study program. The activity took place over two days, June 24-25, 2023, in Cimanggu Village. The first day was filled with persuasion to the community, and the second day was filled with socialization about making ecoenzymes from vegetable and fruit waste as soil fertilizers, and making tofu nuggets with the residents. This activity has been carried out well, and the entire series of events have been realized, including persuasion of residents, making ecoenzymes, socializing tofu nuggets, and helping residents with gardening. The response of the residents was quite enthusiastic.

Abstract

Leadership is influencing other people to support the achievement of relevant organizational goals. Leadership is an art of ability or technique to make a group of people follow or comply with whatever is desired and make them enthusiastic about following it. Leadership is the art of influencing other people, such as the use of influence, action, or behavior, a form of persuasion, leadership as a means of achieving goals, the result of interaction, and so on. As a leader, you should also be able to speak in public and make presentations. Converting an oral message to an audience is essential in conveying ideas and messages to be widely understood. For this reason, SMAK Immanuel Batam students must be prepared as early as possible to speak well in public. This program was implemented at SMAK Immanuel Batam, where OSIS members were for class X Science and Social Sciences. This exercise uses training as a means of carrying out community service. Mentoring or lectures, conversations, and practice are part of the training, including public speaking techniques and developing presentation concepts. These exercises help participants learn how to manage nervousness and fear when giving a public speech and how to develop a practical presentation of ideas. The students enjoyed the activities, which lasted for 5 days.

Abstract

As a result of the Industry 4.0 revolution, digital and internet technology are now considered to be at the forefront of technology; cloud computing is one of its components. Cloud computing is a method of using the internet to access various services. Some examples of daya include applications such as data storage, servers, databases, networks, and lunak perangkat. As opposed to storing a large number of files on a hard drive or locally on a computer, cloud-based storage enables you to store files as long as you have access to the internet. Cloud computing is a popular option because it offers many benefits, such as reduced costs, increased productivity, speed, efficiency, performance, and security. As a result, many businesses use the cloud to store data. The purpose of the pengabdian activities at PKBM Sahabat Cendikia Batam is to use cloud computing to enhance education.

Abstract

Pelatihan desain web programming yang rensponsive screen pada multi platform adalah suatu nilai tambah pagi peserta didik yang akan segera menyelesaikan pendidikan. Ketika peserta didik selesai pada suatu jenjang pendidikan maka tidak hanya membawa ijazah ketika tamat, tetapi juga membawa keahlian yang nantinya akan membantu sebagai penunjang di dalam mencari sebuah pekerjaan atau sebagai pembuktian modal pekerjaan. Salah satu keahlian yang saat ini dibutuhkan adalah web depeloper. Melihat pentingnya dan begitu bermanfaatnya pelatihan web depeloper ini, maka perlu kiranya diadakan pelatihan tentang kompetensi tersebut dalam program pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang akan di laksanakan kepada murid SMK. Dimana murid tersebut tidak beberapa lama lagi akan melulusan peserta didik dan akan melakukan sertifikasi junior web depeloper oleh Badan Nasional Sertifikasi Profesi (BNSP), Oleh karena itu perlu di adakan pelatihan untuk membantu peserta didik dalam memaksimalkan persiapan ketika akan melakukan uji sertifikasi tersebut.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a global health issue with increasing prevalence and serious complications that can affect the quality of life of those affected. Prevention is crucial to reduce the burden of this disease. Effective prevention strategies integrate technology and education for better outcomes. The use of technology, such as mobile health apps and glucose monitoring devices, provides easier and faster access for people to monitor their health. Health education delivered through various digital platforms, seminars, and campaigns increases awareness and understanding of diabetes risk factors and prevention steps. The integration of technology and education enables the delivery of more interactive and personalized information, encouraging the adoption of healthy lifestyles and stress management. However, challenges such as limited access to technology and varying levels of digital literacy require inclusive and adaptive approaches. Collaboration between government, private sector, and community organizations is key to supporting sustainable prevention programs. With the right strategies, diabetes mellitus prevention can be enhanced, reducing the risk of complications, improving individual quality of life, and lessening the economic burden on the healthcare system.

Abstract

Agriculture plays an important role in the economic structure of Agam Regency, where the majority of the population relies on agriculture as their main source of income. A well-functioning irrigation system is essential to support this agricultural sector, and its optimal management is essential. Inadequate irrigation management can have various negative impacts, including the conversion of agricultural land into empty or unproductive land, which then impacts regional income and the welfare of local farmers. This study emphasizes how irrigation assets are managed in Agam Regency and the obstacles encountered. In a region that is predominantly dependent on agriculture, approximately 70% of the land is used for agriculture, including 885 irrigation sites that require efficient management and rehabilitation, often carried out by authorities together with farmer groups. This research focuses on answering the urgent need for an integrated information system for irrigation management in Agam Regency. It is aspiring to develop a roadmap for implementing smart irrigation through information systems. Furthermore, practical investigations will develop information systems to facilitate decision-making processes in better irrigation management. The research methodology uses a qualitative descriptive method, which involves collecting data through questionnaires and interviews with relevant stakeholders, parties from government and farmer groups. Data will be processed using descriptive statistical analysis, focusing on the main problems identified during the research. Result of this study as a basic step towards developing an integrated information system for smart irrigation management in Agam Regency, which aims to improve agricultural sustainability, increase income and resource efficiency..

Abstract

The development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is one of the strategic efforts to encourage local and national economic growth. However, low technological literacy and data analytical capabilities are the main obstacles for MSMEs in facing competition in the digital era. To answer these challenges, MNC University, in collaboration with the SHARP Class Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program from PT SHARP Electronics Indonesia, as well as Boedi Luhur Bekasi Vocational School, is implementing a technology-based community service program. This program focuses on providing data analytics skills to vocational school students as young people who have the potential to support MSMEs in their surrounding environment. This activity includes intensive training on data processing using computer science-based tools and methods, designed to improve students' ability to understand, analyze and apply data in making business decisions. A collaborative approach involving academics, industry practitioners and vocational educators ensures that the material presented is relevant to the needs of industry and MSMEs. The results of this program show a significant increase in participants' understanding and skills in data analytics, as well as the real contribution of Boedi Luhur Vocational School students in supporting the development of local MSMEs. This study provides empirical evidence that synergy between educational institutions, industry and vocational schools can be a model of sustainability in developing technology-based human resource capacity.

Abstract

Cyber crimes are on the rise recently. The attack has been very serious and needs to be tackled at all levels of society. Cybersecurity and Digital Privacy Training The target audience for this community service initiative in the Buana Bukit Permata residential area is adolescents. Although adolescents are known for their high levels of creativity, they often engage in self-expression on social media platforms by sharing content such as images, videos, or textual posts. The accessibility of social media through mobile devices, utilizing applications like TikTok, WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube, and others, significantly facilitates this behavior.The objective of this initiative is to provide a comprehensive understanding and explanation of privacy, security, and the confidentiality of data and information in today’s digital landscape. The other goal is to educate participants on the legal provisions related to the Indonesian Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UUITE). Lecturers and students from Universitas Putera Batam, appointed as representatives, will deliver training and mentorship to the adolescents in Buana Bukit Permata. This initiative aims to enhance their skills in securing personal data and information to prevent misuse and its potential negative consequences. Relevant laws will also be explained to increase participants’ awareness of responsible internet usage. The training combines information technology knowledge with legal awareness, emphasizing both digital and legal literacy.

Abstract

This community empowerment activity aims to increase awareness and involvement of youth and mothers in systematic waste management, as well as to realize a structured waste management strategy through the "Keranjang Sedekah Sampah" and "Maggot Cultivation" initiatives. This activity is carried out by providing socialization to provide basic knowledge about waste management, workshops to train practical skills such as waste sorting and maggot cultivation, mentoring to ensure effective program implementation, and evaluation to assess the success and sustainability of the program in the community. The results of this community service activity show the enthusiasm of participation, especially from mothers, in sorting waste and adopting maggot cultivation as a solution to organic waste management. This community service activity also succeeded in establishing "Keranjang Sedekah Sampah" points and a pilot site for "Maggot Cultivation". However, youth participation still needs to be improved, and there are challenges in the form of resistance to maggot cultivation. This program significantly improved the community's understanding of sustainable waste management, but further efforts are needed to increase youth involvement and optimize the program's sustainability

Abstract

The implementation of the mentoring activity of carbohydrate content testing in food for prospective elementary school teachers as a learning innovation aims to improve teacher skills in learning and can improve the learning outcomes of students in science learning in grade IV of Elementary School 060893 Medan in the 2023/2024 academic year. This activity aims for prospective teachers to be able to integrate learning innovations through carbohydrate testing in food, so that the learning process activities become effective and efficient in accordance with the characteristics of elementary school science learning. The activity method is carried out through several stages of activities including: preparation activities, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the community service program show that science learning outcomes have increased in grade IV at Elementary School 060893 Medan.
