Jurnal PUAN INDONESIA (Pengabdian Untuk Anak Negeri) Indonesia merupakan wadah untuk mempublikasikan hasil-hasil Pengabdian Masyarakat dari berbagai disiplin ilmu dalam bentuk Jurnal ilmiah dan Open Accessed System. Jurnal ini diterbitkan oleh Asosiasi Dosen Bahasa dan Sastra se Kepulauan Riau (Idebahasa Kepri). Artikel-artikel yang dipublikasikan di Jurnal Puan Indonesia meliputi hasil-hasil penelitian ilmiah asli, artikel ulasan ilmiah yang bersifat baru, atau komentar atau kritik terhadap tulisan yang ada dimuat di OJS system Jurnal Puan Indonesia maupun dalam terbitan berkala ilmiah lainnya. Jurnal Puan Indonesia menerima manuskrip atau naskah artikel dalam bidang riset terapan dan pengabdian masyarakat yang mencakup bidang keilmuan yang relevan dengan: sosial, kependidikan, sains, keolahragaan, bahasa, bisnis dan ekonomi dari berbagai kalangan akademisi dan peneliti baik nasional maupun internasional. Jurnal PUAN INDONESIA akan menerbitkan jurnal secara bilingual pada bulan Juli dan Januari setiap tahunya. JPI menerapkan kebijakan blind review dimana setiap tulisan yang masuk akan dikirimkan kepada mitra bestari yang terdaftar di JPI. Proses review dapat berlangsung maksimum sampai 30 (tiga puluh) hari kerja dengan alokasi waktu yang diberikan kepada tiap mitra bestari dalam menyelesaikan proses review nya adalah maksimum 14 (empat belas) hari kerja. Jika mitra bestari yang ditunjuk sebelumnya tidak mampu menyelesaikan pekerjaan review-nya dalam tenggat waktu yang ditentukan maka ketua dewan redaksi akan menunjuk mitra bestari pengganti untuk melakukan review tulisan yang dimaksud.

Abstract

SMK Ma'arif NU Batam City is a vocational secondary education unit with a development orientation based on Islamic values ????and nationalism. Community service activities aim to provide knowledge and to introduce the basic concept of saving based on information and digital technology. Students' understanding so far is only as a basic tool to store money at home using a piggy bank, understanding the concept of saving in a bank and the use of digital-based information is still not widely understood and digital payment tools are unknown. The results of community service activities for SMK MA'ARIF NU Batam City students are able to provide knowledge and can form the foundation of healthy and sustainable financial behavior in students from an early age. Instilling the habit of saving not only functions as a simple economic practice, but also as an instrument for character formation oriented towards planning, self-control, and financial responsibility. Through a structured educational approach, students are invited to understand the time value of money, the importance of allocating funds, and the long-term benefits of consistent saving. This activity is aimed at encouraging children and adolescents, especially students of SMK Ma'arif NU Batam City, to grow into a financially savvy generation, manage financial resources independently, adapt to developments in digital technology in the financial sector, and be able to actively participate in building an inclusive and sustainable economic ecosystem.

Abstract

Community Service is an obligation that must be carried out by a lecturer as a form of responsibility for the knowledge they have so that they can share knowledge with the community. The implementation of community service with the title The Role of Teenagers in Reducing Plastic Waste in Schools is an invitation to live a clean culture from an early age and cleanliness is a shared responsibility that must always be instilled from an early age. Instilling cleanliness at an early age will shape the culture and character of adolescents in life at school or in society and is a reflection of a form of concern for a clean environment so as to provide awareness in a clean environment. The role of adolescents in creating a clean environment, namely: 1) Throwing trash in the place provided by the school, 2) inviting other school friends to maintain the cleanliness of the school, 3) Providing education about the importance of clean living in the school environment, 4) the principles of Reduce (Reducing waste) Reuse (Reusing) and Recycle (Recycling) and explaining to students about separating waste according to its type. A clean school culture is also the responsibility of all parties in the school and this reflects a shared awareness that must always be considered and always educated to all students so that a clean environment becomes an absolute must for all parties.

Abstract

This literacy and numeracy tutoring program is based on initial observations that found many students, both in lower and higher grades, still struggle with basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. To address this issue, students were grouped according to their respective weaknesses in difficult school subjects, with special groups for learning to read or count. The aim was to make students feel comfortable and at ease so that they could participate well in learning activities. The result was a very high level of student participation. Students also showed significant improvement in basic skills (reading, writing, and arithmetic) after being grouped according to their needs and weaknesses in the subject matter (reading/writing/arithmetic).

Abstract

Mahasiswa Papua di Jakarta dapat menjenjang pendidikan pada beberapa perguruan tinggi di Jakarta dan sekitarnya. Dalam menjenjang pendidikan, tentunya setiap mahasiswa sangat membutukan finansial yang cukup untuk kebutuhan biaya kuliah dan biaya lainnya. Sebagian besar mahasiswa mendapatkan biaya tersebut dari ke-dua Orang Tuahnya. Namun, sering kali beberapa mahasiswa kewalahan dalam biaya tersebut, karena latar belakang ekonomi Orang Tuanya redah dan beberapa faktor lainnya. Maka dari itu, biasanya beberapa mahasiswa mencari alternatif lain seperti, berwirausaha buah pinang Papua di Jakarta, agar dapat membantu kebutuhannya dan sekaligus meringankan beban ke-dua Orang Tuahnya. Terkadang wirausaha buah pinang Papua di Jakarta yang dilakukan mahasiswa Papua untuk menjawab kebutuhan finansialnya dan sekaligus meringankan beban ke-dua Orang Tuahnya tidak berjalan efektif. Oleh karena, kurang adanya edukasi mengenai wirausaha, kurang berpengalaman, kurang modal, kurang inovasi, dan lain sebagainya. Sehingga, sangat penting untuk dilakukan pembimbingan kepada mahasiswa Papua dalam berwirausaha buah pinang Papua di Jakarta.

Abstract

Digital transformation is becoming a pressing necessity for micro-scale culinary businesses to stay competitive and transparent financially. As reported by Kemenkop UKM, “25,5 juta UMKM telah bertransformasi dan masuk ke dalam ekosistem digital” (Deputi Kewirausahaan, Siti Azizah). Meanwhile, government policy is strongly pushing this movement: “Targetnya 30 juta UMKM go digital pada 2024, sekarang ini sudah 27 juta,” said Rudy Salahuddin, Deputy for Digital Economy Coordination. This study investigates the effect of training bubur ayam (chicken porridge) micro-vendors in Lenteng Agung Selatan, Jakarta, in using the Kasir Pintar application for financial record-keeping. Through a community engagement action research approach, including participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and hands-on mentoring over 6–8 weeks, the program was implemented. Initially, most vendors relied on manual bookkeeping that was error-prone, unstructured, and lacked real-time reporting. After the intervention, participants significantly improved in daily transaction recording, accuracy of sales logs, and ability to read simple financial statements. However, barriers such as limited digital literacy, insufficient hardware (smartphones and receipt printers), and initial resistance to new technology were identified. These findings align with broader national digitalization efforts. For instance, Bank Indonesia has emphasized in its Go-Digital strategy that “digitalization of UMKM is essential not only for payments but for production, e-financing, and market access.” The study demonstrates that Kasir Pintar–based training can boost efficiency, professionalism, and financial transparency in micro culinary businesses. To ensure sustainable adoption, continued mentoring and device support are strongly recommended.

Abstract

Biology OSN training for students at MAS Muhammad Nadis Bukittinggi was conducted to enhance their readiness and competencies for the National Science Olympiad (OSN) in Biology. The program included selection of qualified participants, intensive subject matter delivery, practice problem exercises, and trial examinations (try-outs) to familiarize students with the OSN format. All sessions were facilitated by experienced OSN coaches to ensure quality guidance. An evaluation comparing participants’ pre-test and post-test scores was carried out to measure learning gains. The results showed a significant increase in student abilities, as the average post-test scores were higher than the pre-test scores, indicating the program effectively improved students’ understanding and problem-solving skills. The training had positive impacts, including increased student motivation to learn and improved readiness to participate in OSN selection at the district/city and provincial levels. It also strengthened the role of teachers as mentors in OSN coaching at the school. Supported by active teacher involvement and systematic preparation, the program is expected to continue enhancing student achievement in science competitions at the national level.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought progress to the general public because it can support the community's economy. However, a lack of digital literacy is also a hindering factor, especially among women in the Family Welfare Movement (PKK). Therefore, this community service activity aims to educate PKK women about business and digital marketing. The tools used included Shopee, Canva, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook. The community service activity was carried out using brainstorming, lectures, discussions, and mentoring methods. Lectures and brainstorming methods were used to explain the material and practice of using digital marketing applications. The discussion and mentoring methods are expected to produce PKK women who understand business and digital marketing and are able to empower their families economically. This article also aims to analyze the importance of strengthening the capacity of PKK women through business and digital marketing education as a strategy for family economic empowerment. The methods used were a literature review and analysis of online information discussing the empowerment of PKK women. The analysis showed that education can improve the marketing knowledge and skills of PKK women. The use of social media and ecommerce has been proven to help expand digital market reach, improve products, and boost the family economy.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has prompted schools to update not only their learning methods but also their administrative and organizational systems, including archive management. However, many school organizations still rely on manual archiving methods, which often lead to inefficiency, data loss, and limited access to information. This Community Service (PKM) activity was held at SMAK Immanuel Batam to enhance students’ skills in digital archive management, digital law awareness, and the use of Google Sites as a practical archiving platform. The program took place over five sessions during January–February 2025 and involved members of the SMAK Immanuel Student Council aged 16–18 years. The approaches included lectures, guided discussions, hands-on practice, and evaluations conducted before, during, and after the activity. The results showed that participants were enthusiastic and actively engaged throughout the program. Students demonstrated better understanding of digital archiving concepts, legal and ethical issues related to digital information, and practical skills in using Google Sites for archive management. Overall, the PKM activity helped improve students’ digital skills, organizational communication, and ethical awareness, supporting the growth of responsible, digitally literate student organizations.

Abstract

The development of the digital economy requires MSME actors, including PKK community groups, to possess technopreneurship skills and the ability to utilize digital payment systems. However, limited technological literacy and digital banking competence remain major challenges. This community service program aims to enhance technopreneurship understanding and skills, as well as to optimize the use of digital banking through Virtual Account (VA) features in e-commerce transactions among the PKK group of Puri Rhabayu, Batam City. The program was implemented using a participatory and practical approach through face-to-face training sessions, conceptual material delivery, technical skill training, e-commerce transaction simulations, and hands-on practice mentoring. The training materials covered technopreneurship concepts and types, the utilization of e-commerce platforms, basic digital marketing strategies, and the use of Virtual Accounts in online buying and selling transactions. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ technopreneurship understanding, digital banking literacy, and ability to independently conduct e-commerce transactions using Virtual Accounts. In addition, the program increased entrepreneurial motivation, production creativity, and awareness of legal aspects related to digital transactions. Overall, this program was considered successful and has strong potential for sustainable development in technology-based community economic empowerment.

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is not only important in industrial or office environments, but also in households that have the potential for accidents and health problems. One group that is vulnerable to these risks is housewives, who carry out daily activities at home. The lack of understanding of safety principles at home (safety house) has the potential to cause accidents, such as burns while cooking, slipping while washing, or exposure to household cleaning chemicals. This Community Service Activity (PKM) was carried out in RT 04 RW 13, Tanjung Riau Village, with the aim of increasing housewives' knowledge and awareness regarding the implementation of K3 at home. The methods used were socialization, interactive counseling, and group discussions on the concept of safety house and practices for preventing household accidents. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the importance of risk management at home, as demonstrated by increased enthusiasm, critical questions, and awareness to apply simple preventive measures in daily activities. Thus, this program made a real contribution to building a culture of safety at the household level, especially for housewives as the front line in maintaining the safety and health of their families.
