Abstract

Indonesia faces very complex problems in the management of groundwater resources. Industrial wastewater that is not managed properly and discharged into the environment will also have a negative impact on the surrounding community. The Wenner Schlumberger geoelectric method is one of the geophysical methods used to determine soil properties, especially oil content. The geoelectric method is one of the geophysical methods to determine changes in the specific resistance of rock layers below the ground surface. The research will be conducted using 2 methods, namely a direct approach with simulation experiments in the laboratory and a literature approach with literature. The results of the data obtained from the measurement of oil liquid waste injected into the rock arrangement cause the rock resistivity to have a high value due to the low electrical conductivity of the oil. This is because oil is a material that has good insulator properties.

Abstract

In using PLTS, of course there are various obstacles that can cause the quantity of power produced to decrease. There are several factors that can cause a reduced power output from the solar power plant, one of which is the shadow. In this study, the PLTS output was calculated when it was covered with shadows and not covered with shadows, which was simulated using the Helioscope software. The simulation technique is carried out by covering the PLTS with the shadow produced by the building, where the resulting shadow is for shelter up to 25%, 50% and 75%. The load used in the simulation is the total load in the PT. KAI Medan Branch. The results of this study indicate that when the PLTS condition is covered by a shadow of 25%, the effective PLTS is used with a capacity of 453.4 kWp and the resulting output power is 534 MWh. In the shading condition of 50% effective PLTS that can be used is 300.2 kWp with an output power of 356.5 MWh and when conditions are 75% effective PLTS is only 176.1 kWp and an output power of 481 MWh.

Abstract

The ability to think critically is one of the important skills that everyone must have, including when studying physics. Physics is the science that studies the universe and all the phenomena that occur in it. To understand physics concepts, critical thinking skills are needed to analyze and evaluate the information obtained. This research aims to examine critical thinking skills on physics concepts from a philosophical perspective. This study was carried out using the literature study method. This research has the implication that critical thinking skills need to be trained and developed from an early age, especially in studying physics. Critical thinking skills training can be done through various activities, such as discussions, presentations and problem solving.

Abstract

This study explores the ethnoscience in Batik Lasem, a cultural heritage of Indonesia rich in scientific and aesthetic values. The research aims to identify and analyze the traditional knowledge embedded in the motifs and techniques of Batik Lasem, and how these values are integrated into the local community's life. The research methods include literature review, direct observation, and interviews with batik artisans and cultural experts. The findings reveal that Batik Lasem is not only an artistic expression but also reflects a deep understanding of local ecology, natural dyeing, and philosophy of life. The scientific values found in the batik-making process, such as the use of natural materials and eco-friendly dyeing techniques, demonstrate great potential for integration with modern science. The study concludes that Batik Lasem can serve as a medium for education and cultural preservation, as well as an inspiration for the development of science based on local culture

Abstract

Students' critical thinking skills need to be practiced from the beginning of learning in school. However, not all learning facilitates the improvement and habituation of critical thinking, causing students' critical thinking skills to be low. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a module that can support the habituation of critical thinking skills, especially for Biophysics courses. This type of research is a development with procedures that refer to the model proposed by Plomp and Nieveen. The module that has been developed is then tested for validity by experts, namely 4 lecturers consisting of 2 lecturers of Physics Education and 2 lecturers of Indonesian Language. Based on the validity test results, it was found that the Biophysics Module based on the Scientific Reading Based Project (SRBP) Model was in the valid category. Thus, it can be concluded that the Biophysics module based on the Scientific Reading Based Project (SRBP) Model can be used to train students' critical thinking skills. After getting the results of the module validity test which was declared valid, then the module that has been developed can proceed to the practicality and effectiveness tests.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of the dielectric constant of various types of materials, such as activated carbon, chicken fat, and polyester knitted fabric, on the decrease in capacitor voltage within a series resistor-capacitor (RC) circuit using a theoretical approach. Based on the research results, it is shown that to decrease the voltage value from 12 Volts to near 0 Volts, each dielectric material requires a different time in microsecond (s) or 10-6 seconds. The time required for the electric voltage of the capacitor to decrease from 12 Volts to 6 Volts (50%) for each dielectric, such as activated carbon, chicken fat, and polyester knitted fabric are 73.56 microsecond, 222.80 microsecond, and 294.93 microsecond, respectively. The decrease in voltage caused by the discharge of electric charge from a capacitor over time depends on the choice of dielectric material used. This is because the compound composition and morphological structure of the materials fibers significantly influence the dielectric constant value, which is directly proportional to the decrease in electrical voltage. Therefore, a capacitors ability to maintain a certain capacitance over a specific period is in accordance with its utilization needs in an electrical circuit.

Abstract

In early February 2023, the BMKG predicts that there will be severe drought in June, July and August, even in March 2023 to 2024, the BMKG predicts that the weather in Indonesia will experience an Elnino storm which will cause extreme weather or will feel hotter, it will be very This has an impact on the agricultural sector which really needs water, therefore farmers must have a plan or solution to overcome the water savings that will be needed during the dry season. To overcome the above problems, special methods are needed to save water, therefore researchers will study drip irrigation methods. This research will discuss literature study research regarding drip irrigation. In reviewing literacy studies regarding the use of drip irrigation systems, the author concludes, this application has been widely developed in Indonesia, while the use of the drip method can maximize the efficiency of water use in watering plants, avoid drought during the long dry season, and the most important thing in this irrigation system is regulating the water flow or frequency appropriately so that plants can grow and develop well.

Abstract

Good learning when a person yarg does learning is happy in the performance of learning. Fun and well-being in learning can come from student comfort, student comfort can come from extemporaneous environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, noise, lighting, infrastructure. Therefore the purpose of this study is to analyze the physical environment of the students' learning convenience in SMPN 4 Jember. A measured physical environment is temperature, humidity, noise, lighting, WiFi signals. The method used is descriptive. The result is students are uncomfortable, students are uncomfortable at temperature, noise, Wi-Fi signals and students feel quite comfortable on the humidity and lighting.

Abstract

Penelitian telah dilakukan di kelas VIII SMP Al-Kindi Cipayung Kota Depok, 68% dari 35 siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mempelajari fisika terutama pada bab Cahaya dan Alat Optik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan metode pembelajaran yang lebih tepat dan menyenangkan. Metode diskusi dan praktikum melalui laboratorium virtual merupakan salah satu strategi yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mengenai ilmu fisika pada bab Cahaya dan Alat Optik siswa kelas VIII SMP Al-Kindi Cipayung Kota Depok. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui dua siklus, dimana setiap siklusnya terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan keefektifan pembelajaran, pemahaman, d`an kepercayaan diri siswa.Kata kunci: Metode Diskusi, Laboratorium Virtual, Pemahaman Konsep

Abstract

This research aims to develop learning media in the form of Android-based interactive multimedia on work and energy materials. The methodology used is research and development, with the ADDIE development model. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire aimed at material expert validators and media experts. The results of the validity of the media developed are calculated using a percentage score formula and interpreted according to the Likert scale interpretation. The interactive multimedia developed is based on Android so that students are interested and makes it easier for students to understand the material. After validation of the learning media, the average score for all aspects by material experts was 87%, and by media experts it was 88%. Based on the assessment of material experts and media experts, it can be shown that this learning media, in terms of several indicators used for validation, has very good criteria. Then, after being tested on students, the average score for all aspects was 87%, so it can be said that this interactive multimedia, in terms of the indicators used for testing, has very good criteria and is suitable for use as learning teaching material.
