Abstract

Land and Building Tax (PBB) payments are an important source of income for local governments, including the City of Surabaya. PBB plays a strategic role in supporting the financing of infrastructure development, public services, and as a program that is directly related to the needs of the community. However, in practice, the realization of PBB payments is still faced with the challenge of low taxpayer awareness, especially among the general public who do not fully understand the urgency of PBB payments and how to access services provided by the government. Low levels of tax literacy, limited socialization, and disparities in access to digital technology are some of the main inhibiting factors.  This study was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method through a literature study, analyzing secondary data from literature, government documents, and online information to evaluate the impact of service innovation on increasing taxpayer awareness. Along with the development of information technology and the transformation of public services, the Surabaya City Government through the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) has launched various service innovations to encourage public awareness and compliance in paying PBB. These innovations include digitalization of services through the website pbb.surabaya.go.id and the PBB mobile car program that brings services closer to residents' residential areas. However, the effectiveness of this innovation will not be maximized without increasing public understanding and awareness of their tax obligations.

Abstract

In understanding the basics of technical and fundamental analysis as a starting point before making trading decisions, through a simple and easy-to-understand approach, novice clients are introduced to technical analysis by looking at candlestick charts, recognizing the direction of market trends, and using technical indicators to assess the strength of price movements. Fundamental analysis, on the other hand, is explained as a way to understand the global economic situation, world political conditions, and international policies that affect the market, although it is not always the main basis for direct transactions. The participatory qualitative method used in the service with an educational approach based on interactive discussions and practical simulations. The main target audience was novice clients who were new to trading. Education is delivered in a gradual and focused manner, with the application of the STP (Segmenting, Targeting, Positioning) concept to help participants design trading strategies that suit the character and needs of novice clients. With this method, it is expected that novice clients can make trading decisions more wisely, measurably, and not only based on speculation.

Abstract

Social-emotional development in early childhood is an important aspect that supports children's ability to interact, manage emotions, and cooperate with the surrounding environment. This activity aims to improve children's social-emotional development through movement and song games at Permata Hati Kindergarten, Limbang Jaya Village I. The methods used are active learning, education, participatory observation and interviews, with a focus on children's involvement in motion and song games for several sessions. The results of the study showed a significant increase in children's ability to cooperate, express emotions, and communicate with peers. Children who previously tended to be passive showed progress in social interaction skills and emotional management. Motion games and songs have proven to be effective as learning methods that support children's overall social emotional development. Thus, this activity provides practical guidance for teachers in integrating movement games and songs as part of the learning process in Kindergarten.

Abstract

The 2024 Kader Dai Program at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah At-Tahdzib is designed to transform the roles and competencies of Islamic teachers (ustadz) by strengthening the implementation of Islamic legal values within society. Utilizing an experiential learning approach and continuous capacity-building, the program enables ustadz to deepen their religious knowledge while simultaneously cultivating leadership, communication skills, and adaptability to contemporary issues. This transformation is evident in the evolving roles of ustadz—from merely transmitting knowledge to serving as mentors, facilitators of religious dialogue, and social mediators who actively employ information technology to expand the reach of Islamic outreach (da’wah). The results demonstrate that holistic and sustained guidance can produce ustadz who are relevant, adaptive, and effective in contextualizing Islamic law amidst the complexities of modern society.

Abstract

Effective household financial management is a key factor in maintaining family well-being. However, many housewives still face challenges in managing their finances due to limited knowledge of budgeting, saving habits, and basic investment concepts. This low level of financial literacy can increase the risk of household economic instability, especially amid continuously changing economic conditions. To address this issue, this community service program was implemented to provide practical and applicable financial literacy education tailored to the needs of housewives. The program was delivered through interactive training sessions, offering participants a better understanding of financial literacy fundamentals, realistic household budgeting techniques, basic saving and investment strategies, and ways to avoid harmful debt practices. Through this training, participants are expected to gain the skills and confidence needed to apply sound financial principles in their daily lives. The expected outcomes of this activity include improved financial literacy among participants, the ability to independently create structured household financial plans, and positive changes in financial behavior that promote responsibility and discipline. Furthermore, the program aims to raise awareness of the importance of financial planning as a foundation for a more stable and prosperous family future.

Abstract

The role of financial consultants in brokerage firms has shifted from being mere product sellers to strategic partners for clients. This community service journal explores in depth the consultative approach strategy implemented by financial consultants in guiding prospective and existing clients in brokerage firms. Through this approach, the main focus is on building understanding, trust, and providing truly personalized investment solutions, rather than just being sales-oriented. Participatory observation methods and case study analysis are used to identify the stages, key skills, and impacts of the consultative approach on increasing public investment literacy and client satisfaction. The results of this activity show an increase in participants' knowledge of investment instruments and growth in confidence in making wiser investment decisions. The consultative approach has proven effective in bridging the information gap between industry players and the general public.

Abstract

This activity aims to explore and improve the collaborative skills of students at SMA Kristen 1, Salatiga with class XII IPA students as participants. The data collection technique used a collaborative skills observation sheet with indicators 1) working productively; 2) being responsible; 3) respecting other students and; 4) compromising. The data analysis technique used the percentage of collaborative skills. In photosynthesis learning, students with collaborative skills in the exemplary category reached 14 people (19.4%), proficient 47 people (65.3%), basic 9 people (12.5%), and novice only 2 people (2.8%). In mitosis learning, students who had collaborative skills in the exemplary category were only 9 people (12.5%), proficient 52 people (72.2%), basic 8 people (11.1%), and novice only 3 people (4.2%). In the aspect of working productively in photosynthesis learning, the novice category reached 8 people (11.1%), while in mitosis learning the novice category was only 2 people (2.8%). In the aspect of being responsible for photosynthesis, the novice category reached 9 people (12.5%), while in mitosis learning, the novice category was only 4 people (5.6%). Furthermore, in photosynthesis learning in the aspect of flexibility and compromise, the novice category reached 8 people (11.1%), while in mitosis learning the novice category was only 7 people (9.7%). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in the number of students who are increasingly skilled in collaborating with students.

Abstract

Masyarakat kawasan Giri Rejo memiliki latar belakang pekerjaan yang berbeda. Saat ini Masyarakat mulai mengembangkan budidaya jamur sebagai mata pencaharian tambahan. Dari hasil wawancara yang dilakukan dengan pelaku usaha, terdapat beberapa kendala yang mereka hadapi yaitu mengenai mekanisme penyiraman jamur tiram. Sumber air untuk proses penyiraman pada lokasi budidaya jamur cukup jauh. Sehingga membutuhkan waktu dan tenaga yang banyak untuk melakukan proses ini tiap harinya. Masyarakat saat ini masih menggunakan metode manual dengan sistem penyiraman menggunakan sprayer sederhana.Kegiatan ini merupakan rangkaian dari Kuliah Kerja Nyara (KKN) mahasiswa yang bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan teknologi pada kehidupan bermasyarakat untuk meningkatkan efesiensi dan efektivitasi usaha kecil dan mikro. Alat penyiraman otomatis ini menjadi salah satu solusi yang diharapkan bisa membantu petani sekitar untuk mengembangkan budidaya jamur tiramnya.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly impacted the pattern of information dissemination, including among students. At SMKN 2 Jombang, the low level of digital literacy among students makes them vulnerable to hoaxes and disinformation circulating on social media. A lack of understanding of information verification and the absence of formal education on identifying hoaxes are key challenges in fostering digital awareness. To address this issue, the program "Building Digital Awareness: Hoax and Disinformation Education through a Technological Approach for SMKN 2 Jombang Students" was designed. This program adopts a participatory and technology-based approach using blended learning methods, encompassing digital literacy training, technology utilization workshops, the creation of educational content, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation. Through interactive training, hoax case simulations, and the use of digital tools such as fact-checking platforms and AI-powered fake news detectors, students are trained to recognize, analyze, and counter hoaxes. The outcomes of this program indicate an increased understanding and awareness among students of the importance of digital literacy, as well as improved critical thinking skills in evaluating information. Furthermore, the program supports the integration of digital literacy into school learning activities to promote sustainable and effective digital education.

Abstract

The many kinds of health benefits of beluntas (Pluchea indica) are already known, but are still limited for vegetables, even though its essential oil is very high. Essential oils, based on research, can be used as an antibacterial and an inhibitor of viruses. Therefore, we conducted counseling and training on the utilization of Beluntas leaf essential oil through isolation to be developed into health products in the Babatan Sidomekar community, Semboro, Jember. The Covid 19 virus pandemic in Indonesia has had an economic impact on small communities. One way to do this is to provide new knowledge and technology by producing products that can be used to increase income and preventive against COVID-19. Presentation products are more modern, have high selling value, and are more durable, which will be easily accepted by the market. The stages of implementing the activity were socialization in the Babatan Sidomekar community, Semboro, Jember, which was carried out well from August to November 2022, and the community was very enthusiastic about receiving counseling and training in making hand sanitizer and antiseptic soap products from the essential oil of beluntas leaf
