Abstract

This research explores the integration of Islamic spiritual leadership and e-leadership in improving the quality of education in madrasahs. Islamic spiritual leadership emphasizes ethical, moral and spiritual values as the basis for decision-making and daily actions. In the context of madrasahs, this leadership not only aims to achieve academic excellence but also create an environment that supports learners' spiritual development. This research supports the theory that effective leaders in Islamic education inspire and motivate through exemplary worship and good morals, as exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad. E-leadership utilizes information and communication technology to facilitate the learning process and school management. Using PLS-SEM analysis, this study found that madrasah principals who combine spiritual values with technological capabilities can create a school culture that is more adaptive and responsive to change. The analysis showed that Islamic spiritual leadership significantly affects the quality of education, with the mediating influence of E-leadership. The integration of these two approaches enables madrasahs to remain relevant in the digital age, increase accessibility and flexibility in the learning process, and ensure education rooted in strong Islamic values. This research provides a foundation for the development of effective leadership models to improve the quality of education in madrasahs in the digital era.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to provide legal education to the public on the resolution of joint property disputes from the perspective of the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI). Specifically, the author casuistically examined the decisions of the Kediri City Religious Court regarding the resolution of marital property disputes. This article was compiled using qualitative methods with this type of case study. The article concludes that the Kediri City Religious Court's decisions are quite flexible and contextual. This is reflected in several cases where, on one occasion, the Kediri City Religious Court had given a ruling on the settlement of property disputes related to Article 97 of the KHI while considering Article 89 paragraph 1 of Law No. 7 of the Year 1989 on Religious Justice. Then, on another occasion, the Kediri City Religious Court also excluded Article 97 of the KHI as a consideration in ruling on the settlement of marital property disputes because it was considered unfair based on the facts before the trial. This means that judges have the authority to position the principle of justice and contextual expediency as key in the resolution of community property disputes, which goes far beyond the normative side or formal legal aspects of the law.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyse the Sufi education of the Shadziliyah Order under the wrath of KH Jamaluddin Ahmad Tambak Beras Jombang in the process of forming a moderate humanistic attitude of pilgrims. The research method used is field study with qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews and observation of non-participants. The results of the study showed that the concept of the teachings of the Syadziliyah order was able to lead pilgrims to have moderate, wise and balanced paradigms. They focus not only on the power of spirituality, but also on social aspects, morality and humanism. Thus, the teaching model of the Shadziliyah Order is based on moderation and integration of science between the Uqrawi and Dunyawi principles as the basis of behaviour in society. In the process of forming the social, moral and spiritual behaviour of the pilgrims of the Shadziliyah Order, it is affirmed not to be inclusive, individualistic and extreme in wading into the Sufi world. The moderate attitude is more emphasised in this order, then the role of the Murysid teachers as educators who are not limited to being spiritual guides, as well as moral and social educators of their congregations. It is also strengthened by Amaliyah, which is consistently practised by the pilgrims who can purify their inner aspects so that it has an impact on their behaviour, attitude and actions.

Abstract

This study compares the enhancement of students’ critical thinking abilities between those who utilise the Blended Learning model based on Kutub al-Tis’ah and those who adhere to a conventional learning methodology. A quasi-experimental method with purposive sampling was employed, with two classes from the Architecture Study Program at the State Islamic University of Sunan Ampel Surabaya in 2020/2021 serving as samples. The experimental group was instructed using the blended learning model, while the control group was taught using conventional methods. The results of the post-test demonstrated that the experimental class exhibited significantly higher scores (with an average of 90.32 and a variance of 6.799) than the control class (with an average of 65.81 and a variance of 5.872). The results of the statistical tests, including those for normality (Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk) and homogeneity (Levene), demonstrated that the data from both groups were normally distributed and homogeneous. A p-value of 0.00, less than 0.05, indicated that the null hypothesis should be rejected, demonstrating that the blended learning model effectively enhances critical thinking skills in Hadith Studies courses.
