Abstract

The article examines the relationship between learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) (variable X) and students' practice of Ramadan fasting (variable Y). With a population of 216 students and a 10% margin of error using the Slovin formula, a sample size of 68 students was determined. Using a descriptive method and analysis with the product moment formula, the results showed that PAI learning has a significant positive effect on the practice of Ramadan fasting, with a count value of 148.843 greater than the table value of 1.997, a very strong correlation coefficient of 0.99, and an influence level of 1%, while the remaining 99% is influenced by other factors. The results suggest that students who receive high-quality PAI teaching tend to be more active and consistent in their fasting practices. Factors such as understanding of religious concepts, moral values, and social support from PAI teachers play a crucial role. The practical implications suggest the need to improve the quality of PAI learning in order to better support students in their Ramadan fasting practices.

Abstract

The inculcation of character traits, including behaviour, knowledge and skills, is a crucial element in ensuring academic success. Nevertheless, the absence of character education integration into formal curricula has resulted in moral concerns. In response to this situation, MAN 1 and MAN 2 Bojonegoro have implemented a restructuring of their curricula, which now includes the incorporation of spiritual-based character education. This multi-case study, employing qualitative methods with a descriptive-analytical approach, revealed that the integration occurs in three stages: The process of integration can be divided into three stages: 1) Planning, which involves defining spiritual values, academic culture, and teaching materials; 2) Implementation, incorporating both extracurricular and co-curricular activities; and 3) Evaluation, which includes testing and persuasive techniques. The internalisation of character education is based on a comparison system that aligns teaching materials with the aforementioned character education elements and an analysis system focusing on the future vision of the madrasah. The findings of this study indicate that all educational institutions should consider reconstructing their curricula to integrate spiritual character education into the core principles, goals, methodologies, and content.

Abstract

This article presents an analysis of the significance of ensuring equal access to education for children with special needs in alignment with Islamic values. It is argued that verses such as Surah Abasa, verses 1-4, and Surah al-Nur, verse 61, support the concept of inclusive education. The observation method was employed in the analysis of the data, and it was concluded that Pakerti Adiluhung (noble values) in inclusive education at MIT Ar-Roihan Lawang Malang play an important role in living God’s existence, being responsible for humanitarian duties and being consistent in carrying out professional duties. Such values constitute the bedrock upon which every educational provider, particularly teachers, must be built. The implementation of these values at MIT Ar-Roihan has resulted in notable outcomes, including enhanced student achievement, community appreciation, and recognition from authorities. The portrait of MIT Ar-Roihan provides important inspiration that the success of educators in implementing the three noble principles has a tangible impact on the achievements of the madrasah. In addition to the growing appreciation of the community and the state through the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the madrasa has also successfully guided students to achieve excellence in various fields at local, regional, national and international levels.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify and elucidate the obstacles encountered by non-educational study programmes in facilitating their students’ participation in the Kampus Mengajar programme, which constitutes one of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy initiatives. This research employs a descriptive approach, utilising qualitative research methods. The research employed a variety of data collection techniques, including in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. The research findings indicate that there are two principal challenges: those of an administrative nature and those of a technical nature. The administrative challenge is that universities must align their implementation of the MBKM with their financial conditions and capabilities. The implementation of the Teaching Campus MBKM programme is hindered by two main challenges: a lack of funding, particularly from students, and an inadequate academic information system. Furthermore, there is a dearth of information regarding the technical implementation of the MBKM programme. The challenges described are not unique to this particular university; they are common to many other universities as well. These include funding, academic systems, quality, and productivity of human resources. Technical challenges in Kampus Mengajar programs include issues of communication competence in teaching, challenges of literacy skills, and the importance of a positive mental attitude in learning activities.

Abstract

The formation of character represents the ultimate objective of education. However, the internalisation of character into social attitudes and behaviour continues to present a significant challenge. Pondok Pesantren Ahlus Shofa Wal Wafa in Sidoarjo has the potential to instill character traits through the use of Syi’ir Tanpo Waton, which has the capacity to influence the behaviour of students and congregation members. This study has two objectives. The first is to examine the process of internalising the values of character education expressed in Syi’ir Tanpo Waton within the Sufistic context of the language dauroh congregation. The second is to assess the reflection of these values and their impact on the Sufistic behaviour of the congregation. This qualitative research employs a multi-method approach, integrating a normative-manuscript and phenomenological perspective. The primary data were gathered from key informants, including the caregiver and principal of the Pondok Pesantren. The findings indicated that the internalisation process was facilitated by active participation and routine engagement in the activities of the pesantren and its foundation organisation. The values of character education were reflected in both concrete and abstract behaviours exhibited by the congregation

Abstract

One of the most crucial abilities for students to cultivate is the capacity to engage in collaborative endeavours. Despite the growing interest in collaboration as a skill required of students, the context of collaboration itself remains unclear. The objective of this literature review is to examine the conceptualisations, definitions and understandings of collaboration as presented in the research literature. Collaboration can be defined as a process whereby members of a group interact with one another in order to fulfil their roles and to solve problems or achieve goals collectively. In order to achieve this, it is essential that responsibility is shared. The most frequently employed indicators are those identified by Trilling and Fadel, namely cooperation, flexibility, responsibility, compromise and communication. It is incumbent upon educators to consider how the design of assessment tasks can be modified to encourage all students in a group to participate, share thoughts, gather resources and ideas, manage tasks, manage time and communicate effectively.

Abstract

This article presents an examination of the social behaviour and religious practices of the people of Temboro, Magetan, East Java. The religious behaviour of the Temboro community is the result of the integration of character education values based on the interpretation of Quranic texts (living Qur’an), which have been formed through the process of acculturation. Temboro Village is known as “Kampung Madinah,” exhibiting a culture analogous to that of Madinah City in terms of dress, religious rituals, and social ethics. This article employs a qualitative method with an anthropological approach to investigate the character education values embedded in the socio-religious and cultural practices of the Temboro community. Reception theory is used to analyse the findings, which reveal that the insertion of character education shapes the socio-religious behaviour of the Temboro community. This process is shaped by the informal rules of the kiai in Pesantren Al-Fatah Temboro. The character education that shapes the socio-religious behaviour of the Temboro community is socially constructed and embedded in the community through acculturation to the recitation tradition, social ethics and daily habits. Secondly, the behaviour and social religious attitudes of the Temboro community follow the interpretation of the Qur’anic text received from divine and human values. These values are controlled by religious authority and local wisdom.
