Abstract

News writing is a fact-based and actual writing activity based on actual events aimed at conveying information to the audience. Therefore, learning news writing material is poorly understood by students because there is still a lack of interactive students in learning and discussing. Based on this, the problem in this study is whether there is an effect of the think pair share model on the ability to write news of VII grade students of SMP PGRI 1 Palembang. The purpose of this research is to know and describe the effect of think pair share model on the ability to write news of seventh grade students of SMP PGRI 1 Palembang. The results showed that on the average value of the test results, where the class that used the think pair share learning model the average value of the students' news writing test results was x =81.23, while in the class that used the usual learning model (conventional) the average value of the news writing test results was x =62.65, from the analysis obtained thiutng, = 6.56 and ttabel = 4.03 with db = 48 the critical t price is located at alpha = 0.05, then the value of tcount> ttable = 6.56> 4.03, which means the application of the think pair share model has a significant positive effect on the ability to write news.

Abstract

The method in this study uses the Research and Development model with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Desseminate). The subjects of the limited trial were students of grade VIII students of SMPN 2 Grobogan. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, media and material validation questionnaires, as well as teacher and student response questionnaires. Analysis data analysis was carried out quantitatively and qualitatively descriptive. The validation results showed that SIAGA-Flytrap props get a very feasible category for each indicator and aspect in media and material validation, as well as teacher and student response questionnaires indicators and aspects in media and material validation, as well as the results of teacher response questionnaires. Response questionnaire results obtained an average score of 3.00 and 3.18 students, both of which were included in the good category good category. The response of teachers and students to the teaching aids is also very positive, and by using these teaching aids, it provides a very good learning experience and by using this teaching aid provides a more enjoyable and meaningful learning experience more fun and meaningful.

Abstract

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, a young adult novel by Holly Jackson, presents a compelling narrative of mystery while offering extensive opportunities to explore social and psychological dynamics through its main character. This study investigates the potential of the novel as a pedagogical tool by bridging young adult fiction and learning theories; analyzing how the protagonist, Pippa Fitz-Amobi, embodies Albert Bandura’s social cognitive theory. The research proposes fresh insights into their integration. Through the examination of personal agency, this study reveals how Pip’s agency shapes her decision-making and resilience in navigating complex situations. The findings highlight the effectiveness of young adult literature in illustrating fundamental learning principles, offering a modeling personal agency for its young readers.

Abstract

The development of superior Human Resources (HR) is an essential prerequisite for a nation's progress. In the Indonesian context, education financing based on human capital, as a form of investment in HR, is a strategic step that requires comprehensive review from both opportunity and challenge perspectives. This research aims to conduct a systematic review of the literature related to the challenges and opportunities of implementing a human capital-based education financing model within the Indonesian education context, as well as its contribution to the development of superior HR. Furthermore, this research will formulate policy recommendations derived from the analysis and identify relevant research gaps. Through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this study explores critical issues such as financing standards, optimization of fund allocation, education budget management, and accountability and equity challenges. The analysis results indicate strong recognition of education as a "human capital investment," supported by regulations, allocation efficiency, transparency, and diversification of funding sources. Strategic financing can enhance the quality and relevance of education, foster innovation, and ultimately produce more competent and competitive HR. Based on the findings, policy recommendations include developing a clear national framework for human capital investment in education, implementing performance-based financing, improving transparency and accountability, and diversifying funding sources. This research identifies gaps in cost-benefit analysis, the role of non-governmental stakeholders, measurement of long-term impact, and a more focused analysis of vocational financing policies.

Abstract

The research problem in this study is: How is the application of mobile device-based digital gamelan implemented in the learning process of Javanese Gamelan in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Cepu, Blora Regency? The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of mobile device-based digital gamelan in Javanese Gamelan learning in class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Cepu, including the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through three main stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the tests conducted to evaluate the learning process using mobile device-based digital gamelan show that the observed assessment aspects—namely cohesion, timing accuracy, and pitch accuracy—show positive results. Of the 28 students sampled, 6 students were categorized as "Very Good," 14 students were categorized as "Good," and 8 students were categorized as "Satisfactory." Based on the evaluation results, the implementation of mobile device-based digital gamelan in Javanese Gamelan learning in class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Cepu can be categorized as good, with the majority of students receiving a "Good" rating, and a small number of students receiving "Very Good" and "Satisfactory" ratings.

Abstract

This study seeks to investigate the implementation of the ADLX approach in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), particularly focusing on the practice of habituation to prayer. By incorporating the TERPADU principles, the research explores how this learning method can actively enhance student participation and deepen their comprehension. This study was carried out at SD Negeri 1 Mantingan employing a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The sample included one educator and third-grade students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was performed using the data triangulation technique to ensure validity. Based on the results of the study conducted at SD Negeri 1 Mantingan, the implementation of the ADLX approach in the practice of sholat habituation proved effective in enhancing students' active engagement, spiritual awareness, and character development. This approach provides an applicative, contextual, and reflective learning experience by directly involving students in the practice of sholat, group discussions, and reflection on religious values. By integrating the TERPADU principle and a gradual learning strategy, the process addresses not only cognitive aspects but also the affective and psychomotor domains, fostering enthusiasm, discipline, and students' concern in performing religious practices.

Abstract

Religious education, especially the learning of the Qur'an, is one of the most important elements. The Qur'an as a guide to life and a source of knowledge, as the first means or tool of learning that needs to be understood and read. So, it is necessary to learn smoothly. Teaching the Qur'an to children with special needs, especially the disabled, is certainly adjusted and cannot be equated with teaching the Qur'an to other normal children because they have limitations in reading the Qur'an. This study aims to describe how the process or form of learning Iqra' is applied practically to students, to form students to be more accustomed to memorizing, mentioning and knowing the recitations of the Qur'an, as well as identifying various obstacles faced during the process and solutions used by educators to overcome them. This study applies a qualitative approach with the type of case study, where data is obtained through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of the study show that, (1) the learning process or application of Iqra' includes setting goals, such as ensuring that students can read the Qur'an correctly pronounced, memorize hijaiyah letters, and memorize daily prayers. Determine the content of the learning material, which in this case includes learning using the Iqra' book which is compiled into several volumes. The teacher determines the strategies and methods used in Iqra' learning as well as the assessment of reading ability by evaluation. (2) Knowing the obstacles and their solutions, including internal and external factors.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an educational animation video entitled "Si Raja Kecil di Tanah Batak" to enhance students’ learning interest in understanding the values of Pancasila. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of this study were fifth-grade students at MIS Kesuma LKMD, totaling twenty two students. The results of the validation process indicated that the developed media was highly valid, with a media expert validation score of 93.33% and a material expert score of 86%. The practicality test yielded a score of 84.54%, indicating that the media is highly practical for daily classroom learning activities. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the animation video in increasing students’ interest in learning Pancasila values reached 82.87%. Therefore, the animation video "Si Raja Kecil di Tanah Batak" is proven to be valid, practical, and effective as a learning medium for supporting the understanding of Pancasila values at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to ascertain the extent to which interactive word card media based on the Canva software may improve the beginning reading and writing skills of first-grade children at SD Negeri 1 Kadipiro. This study uses an uneven control group design and experimental methodologies to take a quantitative approach. Two groups of 28 students each made up the research subjects: the experimental group used word cards created with the Canva program, and the control group used word cards with concrete pictures. Among the tools used are observation sheets to gauge media use and preliminary tests of reading and writing abilities.  Data analysis shows that students in the experimental class scored much higher on average for reading and writing skills than students in the control group.  The Independent Sample T-Test hypothesis test yielded a significance result of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. This suggests that two groups differ significantly from one another. According to this study, children' early basic reading abilities are more effectively developed when interactive word card media based on the Canva software is used. Therefore, at the primary school level, digital medium can enhance the process of learning fundamental reading and writing in a creative and useful way.

Abstract

This study looks at how students in the English Department at Universitas Panca Marga's writing skills change when they use social media and have organized interactions with their peers.  Participants were chosen using a saturated sampling method, and the study used a quantitative method analyzed through SmartPLS software.  The level of English writing skills was the dependent variable, and the amount of time spent on social media and structured peer contact were the independent variables.  Multiple signs were used to measure each variable, and reliability and validity tests were used to evaluate them.  The results indicate that both using social media and structured peer interaction have a good impact on students' writing skills, with structured peer interaction having a bigger effect.  Participating in social media helps build vocabulary and writing speed, and working with others in an organized way improves grammar, coherence, and the ability to think critically about what you've written.  These results show that digital and collaborative learning settings work hand-in-hand to help students improve their writing.  The study suggests that students can improve their writing skills by doing structured peer activities and seeing real English material on social media.  It gives useful advice to teachers who want to improve the way they teach writing and ideas for more study into how digital and interactive learning strategies work together in language classes.
