Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes in Javanese language subjects through Quantum Learning and Karsawa learning media. This study chose a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design research design and a one-group pretest posttest design. This study only uses one class with a sample of 21 students who will be given a written test of Javanese learning outcomes twice, namely a pretest before and a posttest after treatment. Based on the study results, the average pretest score was 60.57, and the average posttest score was 84.76. This shows an increase in the posttest score, which is higher than the pretest score in Javanese language lessons. It will be analyzed through the Wilcoxon test statistical test to strengthen this value. The significant number is 0.000 <0.05, indicating that Asymp.Sig. < 0,05. From the results of the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that applying the Quantum Learning method assisted by Karsawa media has an effect on the learning outcomes of class III Javanese language at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Mambaul Ulum. The Quantum learning method and Karsawa media can improve Javanese language learning outcomes, especially Javanese characters in students.

Abstract

Moral education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah plays an important role in shaping student character. However, its implementation still faces challenges, so it is necessary to study the concrete strategies teachers use to instill these values contextually and applicatively. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were conducted through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Data were analyzed using interactive analysis techniques that included data condensation, data presentation, and verification by maintaining data validity through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results showed that moral education in environmental hygiene is realized through habituation, exemplary, and punishment strategies. These strategies are applied in routine activities such as class pickets, environmental clean-up actions, and daily clean-living practices. These efforts shape the character of students who are responsible, disciplined, and care about the environment, as well as creating a clean, healthy learning atmosphere and supporting improving learning quality. The conclusions and contributions of this study indicate that moral education strategies through habituation, exemplification, and punishment effectively shape students' characters who care about the environment and contribute to creating a clean, healthy school culture and supporting quality teaching and learning processes.

Abstract

This qualitative study focuses on elementary teachers' experiences in handling learners with special needs, where teachers encountered different types of learners with special needs, their preparations in handling them, accommodations, time allocation, challenges, and ways of coping with them. Using the Meriam 1998 model, interviews were conducted with seven elementary teachers, one principal, and two selected parents to gain insights into their experiences. This study utilized the social learning theory by Albert Bandura, which emphasizes the importance of observational learning. Findings reveal that the teachers encountered different types of learners with special needs: global developmental delay, autism, and selective mutism. Their ways of preparing them are identifying the needs of the learners, preparing specialized activities, and attending seminars and training. They work to create a positive learning environment, provide additional attention, and incorporate differentiated instruction to accommodate learners with special needs. Teachers also manage their time by adjusting time schedules and time blocking accordingly. Despite their preparations, teachers often need help due to their time, learners' short attention spans, and inadequate teacher training. However, they can cope with prioritizing time management, making individualized educational plans (IEPs), and engaging in reflection and further research. Based on the findings, recommendations provide continuous support and resources, such as teaching guides, that will be available to deliver adequate educational support to learners with special needs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning model in fostering environmental care character at nature-based elementary schools and identify the challenges teachers face. The research employed a case study approach with interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. Using Robert K. Yin's framework, data analysis is performed by pattern matching, explanation building, time series analysis, and repeated observations. The findings reveal that IRE learning applies Project-Based Learning (PjBL) through stages of project design, problem identification, scheduling, research implementation, prototype development, assessment, finalization, and feedback. This model positively impacts students by increasing environmental awareness, fostering eco-friendly attitudes, strengthening social and spiritual responsibility, and reinforcing discipline and cooperation. Theoretically, this study contributes to the discourse on integrating IRE with environmental education through PjBL, while guiding teachers and schools to design IRE learning oriented toward ecological awareness. Future studies are recommended to quantitatively measure the effectiveness of PjBL, develop eco-friendly digital learning media, and conduct comparative studies across schools to identify the best implementation patterns.

Abstract

Teaching English to young learners presents unique challenges, especially for beginning teachers still developing their professional identity. Many new teachers face emotional and instructional difficulties transitioning from theory to real-life classroom practice. This study explores the lived experiences of a new English teacher in her first year of teaching in an elementary school. The study aims to showcase the teacher's lived experiences using a narrative inquiry approach to uncover unexpected challenges and moments of joy, and to understand how these experiences impact her professional identity. A recent graduate assigned to a public school in Balangan Regency participated in the study, answering interview questions and a narrative framework. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings revealed three interrelated themes: entering the world of young learners, navigating emotional and instructional turmoil, and maturing alongside the learners. Her journey was filled with feelings of loss and frustration, particularly in managing the classroom and managing emotions. However, there were also moments when she made tangible progress and felt proud of herself. This study recommends that teacher education programs integrate emotional preparation and reflective practice into the curriculum. Furthermore, the findings emphasize the importance of institutional mentoring and ongoing professional development for beginning English teachers in elementary schools. These findings contribute to the broader field of English language teaching by deepening understanding of the emotional and professional characteristics of beginning teachers' experiences and guiding teacher preparation and retention practices.

Abstract

This research departs from the problem of the decline in student character values due to the low strengthening of character values. This study aims to describe the biography of KH. Subkhi and the character of the Pancasila student profile in KH. Subkhi and also the process of strengthening the Pancasila student profile in SKI learning based on local wisdom figures in Temanggung. This study uses a phenomenological approach and qualitative descriptive methods. The object of this study is MIN 1 Temanggung. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study show three findings. First, KH. Subkhi is a religious figure who grew up with his grandfather and father in the pesantren environment and then inherited his grandfather's generous, critical and independent nature. He founded Barisan Muslim Temanggung (BMT) to fight the Dutch colonizers. Second, KH. Subkhi's character is relevant to the six values of the Pancasila student profile: faith and devotion, cooperation, independence, creativity, critical reasoning, and global diversity. Third, strengthening the Pancasila student profile in SKI learning integrated with the KH. Subkhi's character starts with planning, learning activities, and closing.
